  1. It’s been a couple months since a release, with the last two showing some fairly significant changes. MAME 0.262
  2. So very true, enjoy what time you have. Life can turn on a dime without warning, don't take it for granted! Merry Christmas!
  3. He always has! Fifth Element wasn't exactly a typical Sci-Fi flick, although it was pretty much a nod toward The Incal.
  4. Surrogates This is what our wealthy society is headed towards, along with dystopia for the masses!
  5. That link didn’t work for me for some reason. https://www.pcgamer.com/e3-is-dead
  6. Yeah, sorry about. I’m posting from my mobile and couldn’t edit it here.
  7. Tom’s recent GameEx update reminded me of some Mister monitor recommendations, that may carry over. 16:10 https://www.asus.com/us/displays-desktops/monitors/proart/proart-display-pa248qv/ A pretty in depth comparison here: https://misterfpga.org/viewtopic.php?t=6969
  8. I like UV brightness this one would bring! IMG_1646.avif
  9. Funny, I was just looking at these again, that one specifically.

  11. I don’t know I’m how or where, but I’ve got to get this incorporated into my setup somehow. https://www.etsy.com/listing/1273734650/confetti-arcade-rug-star-rug-fluorescent?click_key=a0a9d22e60e86c1923cd9c09af67cd665ae1f3d2%3A1273734650&click_sum=11de6935&external=1&ref=landingpage_similar_listing_top-1&pro=1&frs=1&variation0=2816919347
  12. Mr. Do, that brings back some memories for sure. I recall a huge server crash for Mameworld many years ago now from failed hard drives. I used to spend lot's of time at many of the sites hosted there. Looks as if some of it may have not been recoverable. Was MAMENet perhaps a victim?
  13. Enough people seem to have finally jumped to AT&T now to start negatively impacting our service. It was great for the first couple of years, but now, just a couple months before year five it's starting to show how many have made the switch. Hopefully they will take steps to stay ahead of it.
  14. They keep hinting at that, but I suspect it will not end well for them if they do.
  15. Does anyone really like Windows 11? It just seems like a clunky, non-intuitive version of 10, which I'm reminded of immediately every morning at work.
  16. This was around the time games started to improve drastically from the previous gaming platforms. I can't say that I recall this one, but I would have been playing on the C64, which to me was a turning point for gaming in general.
  17. I would think your biggest problem with that type of server is energy consumption. I used to run server farms for distributed computing projects made up of EOL equipment, and it really adds up. Those machines are typically power hogs in my experiences. A modern solution would likely prove to be faster and pay for itself in a relatively short amount of time.
  18. Cool, looking forward to your review.
  19. Atari 2600 PAC-MAN

  20. Oh well, it'll be interesting to see how this goes over, but this ship has sailed IMO.
  21. Fool me once...........is it April Fools? https://www.eastidahonews.com/2023/10/atari-2600-is-coming-soon-is-there-a-future-in-retro-gaming/
  22. I'm considering it based the current price, but I've currently got stacks of movies I buy with good intentions. Still, I was a huge fan of so many of these games that I'm drawn to it just thinking about the good olé days waiting for the id point releases for Quake and Quake II, even if it doesn't play PONG (which I missed in the OP at first BTW)
  23. Has this dropped to $17.99 or am I missing something? <edit> Just watched Ron's review and he likes it.
  24. Well....it's been a good run, let's hope it stays on track!
  25. Excellent! I love that Epic has become a relevant competitor, hopefully this will be a big win for developers and gamers alike.
