  1. Enough people seem to have finally jumped to AT&T now to start negatively impacting our service. It was great for the first couple of years, but now, just a couple months before year five it's starting to show how many have made the switch. Hopefully they will take steps to stay ahead of it.
  2. They keep hinting at that, but I suspect it will not end well for them if they do.
  3. Does anyone really like Windows 11? It just seems like a clunky, non-intuitive version of 10, which I'm reminded of immediately every morning at work.
  4. This was around the time games started to improve drastically from the previous gaming platforms. I can't say that I recall this one, but I would have been playing on the C64, which to me was a turning point for gaming in general.
  5. I would think your biggest problem with that type of server is energy consumption. I used to run server farms for distributed computing projects made up of EOL equipment, and it really adds up. Those machines are typically power hogs in my experiences. A modern solution would likely prove to be faster and pay for itself in a relatively short amount of time.
  6. Cool, looking forward to your review.
  7. Atari 2600 PAC-MAN

  8. Oh well, it'll be interesting to see how this goes over, but this ship has sailed IMO.
  9. Fool me once...........is it April Fools? https://www.eastidahonews.com/2023/10/atari-2600-is-coming-soon-is-there-a-future-in-retro-gaming/
  10. I'm considering it based the current price, but I've currently got stacks of movies I buy with good intentions. Still, I was a huge fan of so many of these games that I'm drawn to it just thinking about the good olé days waiting for the id point releases for Quake and Quake II, even if it doesn't play PONG (which I missed in the OP at first BTW)
  11. Has this dropped to $17.99 or am I missing something? <edit> Just watched Ron's review and he likes it.
  12. Well....it's been a good run, let's hope it stays on track!
  13. Excellent! I love that Epic has become a relevant competitor, hopefully this will be a big win for developers and gamers alike.
  14. I loved The Pros and Cons of Hitchhiking, but never invested enough listing time to fully appreciate K.A.O.S or Amused to Death.
  15. Your post put me on a quest for additional information. Apparently "The Lockdown Sessions" inspired this, and that being the case, then the above speaks for that release as well. Needless to say I cancelled my pre-order! Some will no doubt like this alternate "inspiration", but I'm not one of them.
  16. When I saw the release date I knew I had to get it. That said I pre-ordered without any knowledge of these two preview releases. Roger's shows are amazing, which weighed heavily into such a blind buy...... Time will tell....no pun intended.
  17. I was shocked to see her in a Shakey’s Pizza T-shirt, so it seemed fitting to include such an iconic woman wearing a shirt from the place I discovered Asteroids, Lunar Lander and Space Invaders.
  18. Saw this first one from one of the groups I follow on "X", which gave me the idea "we should have a thread for that".
  19. Here's one I stumbled across out of nowhere that has peaked my interest, so I thought I'd share it here. https://wackoid.com/game/taking-to-the-skies-with-project-wingman-pc/

  20. Hah, I went through this process only to realize I already had it 🫢
  21. The laserdisc scene was crazy at launch with Dragon's Lair, etc., but it seemed to fizzle quickly and suffer from a lot of games that were pretty disappointing because the technology wasn't ideal for a lot of them.
  22. Seems it would have potential, but that looks like a hot mess!
  23. Decent deal if your looking to pick up the Zen official Indiana Jones table and don’t have some of the other titles included.

  25. Seems three of these was really necessary to complete the original story, which makes me hope for two things: Dune 2 doesn't rush the last 2/3 ish of the book still remaining that now is going to be condensed into a single movie. The final scene somehow is much more epic than I managed to visualize from the book.
