  2. I wore this game out on the SNES, hopefully this installment continues the legacy!
  3. Somewhat pricey, but very cool IMO.
  4. Cool test case😁
  5. I don't think the urge ever goes completely away, I can pickup one and it's almost like I never quit.....but it's rare and overall I don't miss it at all.
  6. GameStop is on the ropes, GameSpot’s stocks soars after Robin Hood short that ends up screwing over small investors……and now…..GameSpot is looking to acquire eBay. GameStop has surely been on a roller coaster of events as of late!
  7. Yep, that was a fantastic deal you found there. Some I’ve seen are okay, but still $799. Seems somewhat of a dip in prices is occurring right now, but I don’t expect it will last.
  8. Fitting release date (for me anyway)

  10. No, the entire build was an old 2600K build I did way back for a DAW for a good friend of mine (who I worked for over 15+ years) who gave me the entire setup about 6-7 or so years ago after getting out of studio recording, so I slapped a newer more efficient processor in it then with the goal of backing up a NAS, which Tom gifted me some years ago (Thank you Tom). I ran a spanned Windows 10 drive in it for a while until one of the drives failed recently and I'm looking for a more permanent solution since the NAS is growing on in years and Windows 10......well, you know! The JONSBO case has a few questionable design issues, but overall it's more "NAS" like in design to make it a decent long term choice over anything I have on hand from past builds.
  11. What card did you end up going with? I'm going to repurpose an old i7-3770S due to lower power consumption and use a LSI 9207-8i in it and install open media vault. I will probably end up getting a JONSBO N5 to have room for future expansion.
  12. I used to think that way too, before I switched to this from Artic Silver-5. Interestingly enough, I got slightly better performance from the six pipe heatsink vs the newer seven pipe version, although not enough to really matter.
  13. Based on what I read initially it wasn’t rebranded 7950, But recent reading seems indicate that in fact it is Honeywell marketed under the Thermal Grizzly name. Thermal Grizzly’s stance Is that it is in house developed…..who knows. Im using it exclusively now, but it’s tricky to install and I don’t see how you would ever reuse it. I actually destroyed one order of it when I didn’t get it on the CPU spreader completely flat and tried to remove…..before attaching any heat sink. It does has some adhesive qualities, so landing the heat sink on becomes a biting a challenge. I’m using it on with a Thermalright phantom spirit 120 EVO and a 9950X3D and temps idle at 43-44. I will be using it on with a 12600KF with a Thermalright Peerless Assassin 120 SE on an upcoming build as well. I like it!
  14. At least someone has deemed it as such here in the states. https://www.nationaldayarchives.com/day/national-arcade-day/
  15. Yes, timing is definitely bad between the tariffs and data center insanity.

    pfsense ?

Who here is running it and on what? I’ve seen a good mix of homebrew solutions, but some of the netgate products themselves are ready to go. The 4200 looks like the sweet spot for me the netgate offerings. I’m upgrading my home network with better switches and moving on from Wi-Fi routers and will instead utilize POE+ access points, so I need a good firewall with features I’ve become accustomed to with the Synology router management software.
  17. Looks awesome! One of the best times I’ve had in a while was a couple years ago at the arcade museum in Chattanooga playing pinball for hours.
  18. Good to know, we have family ties to St Augustine, just haven’t been there since prior to the pandemic.
  19. Doesn’t sound good, makes me wonder how viable the platform is or if has all been hinged on the success of Fortnite.
  20. Haha, that’s just wrong! 😁
  21. Yeah, same for me……except occasionally I am actually near the GA locations and Sharonville, OH stores on travel. Still, it’s insane how reasonable their prices stay when everywhere else is just crazy expensive.
  22. The 3060 is still a mainstream GPU based on Steam results and is obviously less expensive to produce with more modern memory being outrageously priced in today's market. Everything is headed to new price highs that uses memory, and everything uses memory. There won't be a price reset to what "used" to be just as is the case now and has been for years with GPU's. Micro-Center is the only US retailer I can see that isn't gouging (currently) so drive to one if you have to or prepare to open up the wallet much further. The good old days of PC computing are a thing of the past! Aside from that sources like Digi-Key are great for supplies like quality caps to bring components back to life.
  23. One of the only Star Trek movies I never have seen is Wrath of Khan. Probably would have been a good idea to combine several series other than just the first three Star Wars in order to make room for others.
  24. Good list....I think anyway! Can't say I agree with all of it as Interstellar was just a bit much for me, but overall pretty spot on with a few omissions that mostly got honorable mention at the end. Gonna have to get Dark City, never saw that one.
