Hi there X1pheR! I can offer you an automatic time-saver alternative that will strip your rom collection in seconds/minutes depending on hardware. There is a disclaimer that comes with this method though: You must have faith in the method! Actually it's not scary if you backup your roms first This method will leave you with 1G1R, usually prioritizing US first: Download RomCenter. Google some Tuts to learn it, there are even some nice posts on these forums if you search! Download a HyperList! Load the HyperList in RomCenter Run it against your collection! RomCenter+HyperList=Clean 1G1R set.... YUM Rinse/Repeat with all collections Be aware that you should do this with a copy of each set because using this method will trim your set down to the bare minimum, with only one game per rom. Using a backup will make sure that if something goes wrong you can just copy the original set and try again using different settings. Trust me on this though - once you get the hang of it you will have the cleanest rom collection you've ever had

I registered! I had to use IE because FF did nothing when i clicked "Create Account". So i created my account in IE... then, IE can't see anything - it's all symbols and numbers - every page! So i go back to FF, look at the Team page to see if i registered - i have! WOOP I try to sign in on FF - nope, login button does nothing. I go back to IE and try to logout - i can't, it's all symbols and numbers! I try to guess on the screen where logout might be. No dice. Quit both browsers wondering why, seeing as both FF and IE are in the top 3, that i had to go through that This ain't helping things guys. I feel your pain man - try what i did above coz we want you on our team George if you can Sorry, didn't see that Still, it shouldn't be that hard to signup.

@Evilforces, judging by your "like" this clown really does go on for 10 hours. I get bored easily but yet there are a few times when 10 hours is not a barrier, nor a thresh hold. I would in all honesty like to divulge, but manners as ever restrain me fwahwahwah.

Ok, that's a relief The latest MAME changes have messed a lot of people around, and the staff are trying (read: Tom!) to get on top of it, and i believe it has been done. Unfortunately it might mean that some unlucky souls like yourself may need to reconfigure some things. Don't despair though - give it some time, may be a day or two for people to respond, and if it comes to it i'll show you how to reinstall with little to no damage

Hi EvilForces, Was this due to an auto-update (ie not reinstall) and have you any idea which version your were on before this happened?

If i understand your question right, that you want the theme background to change in real-time as you scroll through your system list (?), then no it can't be done - at least not currently. There is probably a good reason for this, and i'll try to explain why: Imagine for a moment, that you have over 500 systems installed (it's not likely i know, but bare with me), now imagine GameEx has to load all these backgrounds at once, so they are available when you "scroll". Not very efficient and certainly couldn't guarantee equal performance betweens users. One person may have only 3 systems installed and GameEx loads lightning fast, another may have 100+ systems and has to wait 5 mins every boot. See what i mean? You CAN however have different backgrounds for each system, and even layouts (!) if you enable them in your theme - you'll see them once you have selected/entered each system Load your theme in the Theme Editor, Click Edit > Options, Go to Settings tab, Check Custom Emulator Layouts and Custom Module Layouts (if you want to re-arrange elements per system) You should then be able to load different backgrounds for each system/emulator

Set it up yesterday - had so much fun! So i bought this: Continental Set It arrives tomorrow! I never had one growing up, but my dad had a MASSIVE set, with 10+ cars. Including original Mini coopers, a Lotus F1 and many others. At the worst you may need to re-configure it (depending on the jump from your version to this) but i don't see that happening in all honesty. The plugin, like all of Adultery's rarely need any attention between versions.

It should overlap Adultery's plugins always work that way mostly.

Agreed! mameinfo, history, catver etc need to match your MAME version to get reliable results. I have a feeling/hunch that these things are getting mixed 'n' matched on a disastrous scale, going by the posts we've been having lately.

I understand exactly what you mean, but unfortunately it can't be done at present. That's not to say it won't be a feature in the future If i remember correctly, there is an option somewhere that will tell GameEx to remember where you were when you exit, so if you were in Favorites when you exit it will load Favorites when you next boot. I can't confirm this 100% though so i apologise if my info is inaccurate But again you can't have the Favorites act in a different way to the other lists - it's either show info on select or launch on select. Currently you can't choose how each menu behaves individually.
