You are absolutely sure you put them in the right theme\Media\Logos directoy, and you have that exact theme enabled in GameEx? If so would you mind posting your gameex.ini, something might have been overlooked.

So did you guys decide in the end who the winner is? or we waiting for Dennis' final word? I'm taking "GOTM" out of the title anyway to keep the forum tidy as i've added the new GOTM

We pesent to you (albeit a bit late) our GOTM for August: Gauntlet! We all know this as a classic game of the eighties on many platforms - i had it on the Atari ST and while great fun as a co-op game, i could never do it on my own! May be because i was a kid, or it really is hard soloing. Either way good luck with this absolute classic folks! We decided to use "Score" as the leaderboard as it is what Twin Galaxies uses. This keeps it simple and you can also compare your scores to those at TG. I'd say so, with MO and Murve placing how they did, we got some hardcore players here, not to be messed with, It's only a matter of time when GameEx makes a presence, a well deserved one in fact. To the future!

Yes, replace any logos to the theme you are editing as Draco mentioned: GameEx\THEMES\<theme name>\Media\Logos. Any logos that you don't replace will be drawn from: GameEx\THEMES\Default-Default\Media\Logos And those are the ones you will see

You might get a better response posting in the PinballX forum, even if you are using GameEx to run Future Pinball. Them guys know their stuff! Either way i'm sure between the two forums someone can help you out

I used more than a few sites and things started to go wrong. For instance just on this forum, as soon as you try to quote someone it's an instant shutdown of any functionality on the forum - you can't do squat until you refresh (F5), on other sites similar things happen. It's probably something to do with Java, as Draco also mentioned in another thread, but damn - quoting other posts cripples it THAT much =/ >Install FF> Win

*14:34 as mentioned there was a silent update (unannounced) to fix a few things You can also wait till the next official update if you prefer, the officials tend to have many more updates at once.

I've seen this happen in previous versions too, but once you let it Update List it will behave as intended afterwards. I suspect it is a cache issue that occasionally gets overlooked in some updates, or just simply needs to recreate them to be compatible. EDIT - Either that or there were enough changes in the database(s) to warrant a refresh.

Hi there, Just to clarify some things: Is the actual menu entry "Update List" appearing (in the MAME List), or are you just seeing a prompt to Update List (similar to Update GameEx prompt)? Sometimes the Update List prompt will appear when you change certain options in MAME Settings, regardless if the option is set to hide or not. Commonly if you changed working or rom paths (and sometimes if you alter the commands). If so, letting it update will usually resort it back to the desired behavior and won't be seen again (provided you don't alter MAME Settings anymore )

Does look pretty cool i must say! I've neglected fighters in recent years simply coz i am not prepared to put in the time to compete on a decent level - it takes my weathered brain ages to learn fighters these days. I will be checking this one out however when it lands, and hopefully the easier specials will help me out

I don't think any of us could have asked for more. I respect you so much for giving your efforts to GameEx, when you could so easily have ditched us and played for another team... I want Ex to be fully recognised as a GX Hero...

This is a typical example of a useless David vs Goliath law, that only punishes David, and lets Goliath run free with little to no consequence. Why? Coz Goliath is bigger than David. Much bigger. It's been reported enough times that Goliath Corps ignore the law and will do what they please - because all that will happen is a miniscule fine, probably. If you have a 50 billion annual turnover, a 100K fine is hilarious, in fact most of these organisations can sneeze that kind of money and wipe it on their backsides. So the point is? To punish legitimate small businesses/organisations. So you strive to be a Goliath and ignore the law. If you think i'm BS'in just Google search it. Google themselves ignore pretty much any law that concerns them - because they can pay the fines without consequence, and carry on regardless. Many do the same. These ridiculous laws only ever affect the hardworking/small guy. /rant
