  1. $56.76 google says, that is with our smufing VAT of course, high or low you think?. As an ISP virgin media have been fine for me apart from a bit of traffic shaping.
  2. Have no clue as to what you guys pay stateside, but I think we do fairly well here in the UK. My ISP just increased my speeds for free and we have no caps - that came over as gloating did it not? . Another £9.00 will get me 152mmb down.
  3. Is building your own out of the picture?.
  4. Sweet thanks!, look forward to playing with that.
  5. Exciting stuff!. The latest and greatest build runs as smooth as butter for me here, with one exception - the long press to exit feature has no effect when enabled?. One issue I had yesterday that may be completely unrelated to PinballX is that I lost audio with the AFM rom and only that rom. This meant that any table I tried that used that rom was silent both from within PinballX and when started outside also. To fix this I removed the rom entry from the registry and bam it`s back?. Like I say this may not be relevant at all but could the way the rom is muted in the front end have this effect?. I know this is the wrong thread but as you are adding features tom ,would it be possible to have more than ten custom systems, or the ability to lauch shortcuts like GameEx?.
  6. Don`t know if I should laugh or cry at that statement. Get well soon, and I bet its those bloody Midi-chlorians
  7. Yeah I am playing with android a fair bit lately, mostly I think due to the games often being shorter and simpler. This non complicated gameplay is also what I love about the retro games that got me into this hobby. As for emulators look at Bluestacks - I have it on both my gameex cab and pincab. This is mostly my experiences with bluestacks and PinbalX but most of the info is relevant to GameEx also..... http://www.gameex.info/forums/topic/14743-emulating-android-on-a-pincab/
  8. Thumbs up here, pindmd v1 WORKS!!, and the option to simplify the context menu is most welcome - thanks tom . Seems stable as well, the only thing I have noticed is that my intro movie is no longer auto rotated by pinballX, but that an easy fix on my end. Again, well done.
  9. Just as a fun little addition to this thread, how about a pincab running on android ..........
  10. Seems like something in your set up is causing you focus problems with everything, are you doing anything different?.
  11. Yeah I know me and my trusty V1 are a thorn in your side . Think I will one day, but am trying my hardest to get my mortgage paid off in the next two years. I can not speak for the other V1 owners but this feature is really not a big deal for me, I am testing this more to check for stability/bugs. So the test exe you gave made displays my static image as expected on tables without a rom set for them, and VP/Pinmame works just fine. When navigating the wheel to a table that does have a rom specified PinballX minimizes to the taskbar (win7 64) - and the dmd is blank and stays that way until pinmame is restarted with a table. the log shows nothing remarkable that I can see?....
  12. Sure;, PinDMD V1 Real dmd VPinMAME_3497_SAM_PINDMD1_UNITY_1.2 Normally have hide dmd ticked but unticked just to see what would happen (even when ticked I still need to hide the pinmame window in the table script). Game manager shows the rom for each table and all is turned on in settings so IDK?. The earlier version did not display anything either, but I never tested with the pinmame window non hidden. Not using the table sounds so can not comment on that sorry. Seems to be stable and with the hide dmd box ticked works just the same as the vanila pinballX, so for me its not broken - just has one less feature.
  13. Just had a quick play, and it does not work with a pindmd v1 but that is expected behavior isnt it?. What does happen is that after closing a table the static image that would normally be displayed is replaced by the last frame from pinmame persisting. I can fix this by using the "hide pinmame" option in settings.
  14. Sweet glad you are having fun with it. Since first doing this I have fell out of love with actual WM as you can do all your rotating/mirroring with Display changer 2 - it`s free, portable and has way less bloat than AWM. Check it out it will simplify stuff for you quite a bit. Display changer and two portable instances of VLC with differing settings for music and gameplay vids also cleans up some of the other stuff above .
  15. Like it!. Think I will use the Hal eye from the first link as my windows orb. Maybe a HAL theme then draco? Maybe a Hal jukebox would be cool - I have a 12" 4;3 touch screen that needs using?? Vox commando is also worth a look for voice control.... http://voxcommando.com/
  16. Man, Fifth Element is one of my top 3 films ever - great reference. As for Jarvis it has now hit the 2.0 mark (well beta) and so the GUI is much improved. I really need to play some more with it now, but just have too much else on. One nice new feature is that you can now rename the AI, and I much prefer referring to it as "cabinet" than "Jarvis" If you wanna play you can find it here.... http://mega-voice-command.com/ As for the pincab yep I used it and find it usefull for when on another cab ordering Jarvis to play random music - a vid can be seen on the pincab jukebox thread some bloke started. http://www.gameex.info/forums/topic/14447-xbmc-and-vlc-as-jukebox-options-in-pinballx/ Now if only a HAL9000 voice could be found then I would build a cab with one of these buttons on it .
  17. Just wanted to say that now a days you can find a mame map file in the downloads section..... http://www.gameex.info/forums/files/category/10-map-files/
  18. Russ, if you ever need a V1, mine is just around the corner . Happy to help, but this is low on my want list.
  19. Thanks for sharing this link, it works great and I was completely unaware it existed .
  20. Wonder if giving PinballX a different process to watch instead of steam will help?. Instead of launching steam.exe, try starting the attached FX2.exe with no other Parameters set - may not help but its worth the experiment. Should start Pinballfx2 outside pinballX with a double click, but if that does not work you may have to set your full path to Steam.exe. Good luck. #NoEnv #SingleInstance forceRegRead, SteamDirPath, HKLM, Software\Valve\Steam, InstallPathRun, "%SteamDirPath%\Steam.exe" -applaunch 226980,,UseErrorLevelProcess, wait, Pinball FX2.exeprocess, WaitClose, Pinball FX2.exeExitAppFX2.zip
  21. Yes, it works but not as good as the native pc build at all. The same applies to zen pinballHD/FX2.
  22. Just tried both those games on my nexus 5 and they are both FUN! Think we need to stick to portrait mode enabled games though, just had a quick google and found this discusion on portrait games. On a side note I am not a fanboy but have both a nexus 5 and a nexus 7, however do not think I will go for the new nexus 6. After all who wants to buy something that only lives a few years and gets tracked down by bladerunners?.
  23. Yeah I have run into this limit also, maybe a scrolling list would help?.
  24. Thanks, Rob-O-Bot runs almost perfectly you can even post pass!, the other tables are generally nowhere near as good. Since first doing this I have found that the best way to set this up is to... -1 install then root straight away on the clean untouched install using the tool linked above and also use this to remove the bloat. -2 After debloating you need to install a new launcher (atom or nova) from a .Apk (just double click it). Android assistant can export a back up of your apps from another android device as a .Apk -3 Fullscreen will remove the bottom softkeys from the screen. -4 Giving bluestacks more memory adds a speed boost, but is said to be unstable if given more that 2Gb. You can do this by a reg edit at.... [HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\BlueStacks\Guests\Android] "Memory"=dword: I gave my install 2Gb (2000). Its a shame you can not change the scrolling view on Rob-O-Bot but is a fun little addition to a cab I think. So any of you have any other suggestions for suitable android games?.
  25. If you do not want to have a hotkey to trigger the change and just prefer a shortcut to click, then attached are a couple of .exe`s. Again place the Exe`s` in your Visual Pinball\Tables\plugins\DirectOutput\config folder with the appropriate INI`s inside the attached folders and then create some shortcuts. This will only work for VP though, but for FP you could do the same by having two sets of LEDWiz_settings.ini in your tables folder then just edit your port settings in one?. A FP set could be whipped up if needed?. Hopefully the little ones can get some sleep now . Nightmode Apps.zip
