  1. Just checked my settings file and it looks like Drako hit the nail on the head (of course) and comparing your pinballx.ini to mine. MINE yours[Display]Monitor=0rotate=270windowed=FalseWindowWidth=1080 480WindowHeight=1920 270WindowX=0WindowY=0PlayFieldBrightness=250WheelTextColor=ffffffffWheelTextOutlineColor=ff000000InfoTextColor=ffffffffInfoTextOutlineColor=ff000000FilterTextColor=ffffffffFilterTextOutlineColor=MenuColor=ffffffffFullScreenWindowed=False[BackGlass]monitor=1x=0y=0width=1920height=1080[DMD]Enabled=Falsemonitor=3x=0y=0width=900height=300HidePinMAME=TrueUsePinMAME=TrueIt looks like you have told PinballX that your playfield screen (monitor 1 in windows - same as mine) but monitor 0 in the pinballX ini has a resolution of 480 x 270, and that your backglass is 1920 x 1080. My cab has a real dmd so I can not comment on why my dmd screen is set to 3 by default and your is set as 2, maybe someone else can confirm that?. Hopefully then telling PinballX that your playfield is 1920 x 1080 will fix things for you - good luck!.
  2. Realized there big caveat to this for me in that the force feedback locks the wheel when not in game, so turning is not possible whilst in menu. Not sure if this behavior is changeable as it is a centering mechanism - guess the flappy paddles could be used but unless the wheel can be used think the cab will just stay as it is. Wonder if shadowplay works with mame?.
  3. The more I think about this the more I like the idea. The only tricky bit could maybe be converting a wheel turn into an input PinballX can read/see, but we do of course have xpadder and its plug-in to map a "turn" into a keypress whilst in the menu. Getting tempted to try this myself on my driver cab .
  4. Hmmm, ok am mostly out of ideas then, unless vp is throwing up a message box itself that it ignores but PinballX grabs as focus?, what windows are open in the background if you Alt Tab?. Its the weekend so tomorrow I can mess with my cab to see if I can reproduce this although mine is only a two screen set up and both screens are 1080p.
  5. Maybe posting a screenshot of your resolution settings screen would help us visualize your set up. One thing that may be worth checking is if your playfield monitor is set as the primary screen, not sure how PinballX handles activating a screen other that the primary? - what screen has the taskbar?. I do remember that with hyperpin you had to set your playfield as the leftmost screen then the backglass screen to the right of that and finally the dmd screen rightwards again. BUT i do not think that is still the case with PinballX but it cant hurt to try that way maybe? Not my image but this shows the order I mean just ignore the resolutions :-).
  6. Not that I know off - think it just gets appended automatically. I have music tables in my list, maybe it is something for a feature request?.
  7. Same settings as with the Alpha, you just need to make sure that each table is in its own folder within the main "tables" dir. Also make sure each folder is named the same as the .UDP file within, then point the gameslist manager to the .UDP file to create an xml. Then I have found the settings in the screenshot below to work.... Hope that makes some sense.
  8. I do see the appeal to doing this, navigating a games list sideways by turning the wheel I mean. The arc of the PinballX "wheel" sitting above the actual wheel could have a simple and pleasing aesthetic. Others have used different front ends in a similar way to the same end. I say go for it OP, and if you dont like it then indeed GameEx could be another option .
  9. Hi Skyohn, looking at your ini it seems you are starting future pinball and not Bam through pinballX Ie WorkingPath=C:\Games\Future Pinball Should maybe be WorkingPath=C:\Games\Future Pinball\BAM\ Then point to FPLoader.exe and not Future Pinball.exe Personally I rename FPLoader to Future Pinball.exe and use the settings below hope this helps :-).
  10. Or Battlezone in a beach ball, not that I will ever admit to saying that .
  11. Fun and scary anyone?.
  12. That all depends on how you plan to play, if you only plan to play in solo against npc`s` then yes you can do everything with just a controller. However if you think you may play in open then personally I think a keyboard is essential for interacting with players via the comms panel as at some time you will meet a pirate or bounty hunter. Some folks run for the hills even if you just say "Hi" and never talk to anyone, so it is personal choice. Star citizen is also about to launch the social module so again text chat is possible. A work colleague is doing the modeling for This and is excited about the HTC Vive, but I think I will still go for the rift.
  13. The full consumer version of the rift is due Q1 2016, but many people are using the dev models right now, I can not wait!.
  14. Yep no man`s sky is pretty exciting if not just for the size of the map, heard you may go a long while without seeing another player if you leave the main areas. Personally sometimes I find the imagery too stylized and wonder if being color blind would help matters, although once actually playing probably wont even notice. A colleague has a dev build of Eve Valkyrie to test on the rift but has not had time to even try it yet - servers only on at the weekend, note to self pop round. Limit theory will also one day hopefully be great.
  15. Guess I was a little surprised you guys are not gushing about the genre more, but now I think about it that is just because I an SO in to it everyone else`s response seems mooted. That is cool though it is something I can work through :- ). I did though watch a video today that made me start star citizen and not play elite for once.... Wish I still had the reflexes of the young pups.
  16. Thanks for posting that as I was really curious how well that would work, and it looks like it does so quite well too. You will never get me to part with my X52 PRO and edtracker though for elite, after 1000 hours in it is now a part of me ;-). The X52 PRO has the right stick for pitch and roll, yaw is via twisting and the throttle of course covers forwards and reverse thrust but also has a hat for your left index finger for vertical and lateral thrust - yes I highly recommend it!. And yeah I too really want a rift, just need to learn to type blind properly first.
  17. Sorry must of forgotten to upload the age of ultron play-field video, defo made one - will do it tomorrow. Cannot help with BG vids though. Possible backglass? EDIT; Age of Ultron is now on the FTP.
  18. Never played that when it came out (had other more pressing interests then), but I did see that it has had a refresh. Looks like it could be a great phone/tablet game someday?.
  19. So recently I have been playing a lot of space sims (ok nothing much else), to the point where I outed how much elite dangerous I have been playing lately. I know some of you can not get into ed but with mysteries such as the Unknown Artefact to solve I am hooked. But this is not meant to just be about elite but the whole genre, although I did want to highlight oolite a remake of the original 1984 game for those that remember. Playing a bit of star citizen aswell, but so far am waiting for it to flesh out a bit. So come on guys what are your thoughts on this type of stuff?, are sims your thing are do you prefer more arcadie games like the upcoming Everspace?.
  20. Ahh elite - man you know how to push my buttons <pun> ,and that reminds me of something I meant to post elsewhere. Anyway thinking on this it would be fairly easy to make a stick using a linear sliding potentiometer either on the ball top that you move with your thumb for up/down or with a hollow shaft that slides. An ultimarc Apac connected to it would then show as a game pad maybe?. Ps, never saw your original comment anyway, I just love the engineering of it ; )
  21. Think those 3d mice only work with a handful of CAD and modeling progs but may well be wrong though. A Delta throttle could be a beautiful solution, and boy do I want one!.
  22. Guess you could use one of the custom emulator slots, and just point it to the single game XML, then merge that XML into the main list with a group?. What are you trying to achieve?.
  23. There is a rotation setting of 0,90,180 and 270 deg in the display options within the editor, or you can use the arcade render option also.
  24. What does your XML look like?, as in does it point to the correctly named .pxp file. With the old system that did not matter but now it needs to be correct for [TABLEFILE] to be passed to the exe itself?.
