Auto loading individual PinballFX2 tables via Gameex
rockyrocket replied to rockyrocket's topic in General
You have all of them then . Probably will not get around to it today, but before I do can I just check if you have Autohotkey installed?, and also where you have your steam install?. Also can you log into steam or start it in offline mode then unzip and double click the attached file - thanks. R1-C1.7z -

If you take a snapshot of your menu either with printscreen or just your phone. Then we can see what tables you have and I will sort out what you need for you. -
Loading Pinball Arcade using iRotate problem and solution
rockyrocket replied to soundasleep's topic in General
Sweet! - I am eager to see what you have come up with. I tried to auto start tables but found it really inconsistent so settled for just going to the my tables menu. I am using ledblinky to have some output from my lights - anyway here is what I use if its of any help?. Run, "C:\Program Files (x86)\iRotate\iRotate.exe" /rotate=90Run, C:\LEDBlinky\LEDBlinky\LEDBlinky.exe audio.lwax sound.lwaxRun, C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\SteamApps\common\PinballArcade\PinballArcade.exeProcess, wait, PinballArcade.exeWinWait, ahk_class Pinball ArcadeWinWaitActive, ahk_class Pinball ArcadeSleep, 7000Send {Enter Down}, Send {Enter Up}Sleep, 200Send {Enter Down}, Send {Enter Up}Sleep, 200Send {Enter Down}, Send {Enter Up}process, WaitClose, PinballArcade.exeRun, C:\LEDBlinky\LEDBlinky\LEDBlinky.exe 2Run, "C:\Program Files (x86)\iRotate\iRotate.exe" /rotate=0ExitApp#IfWinActive ahk_class Pinball Arcade]::Left8::Rightx::Spacee::Escape1::Backspace#IfWinActiveEdit so in the hope that you would add led support to your solution I made a quick vid.. -
I use iRotate for exactly this sort of thing in gameex. Basically I start an AHK file with the emulator that then rotates the screen, waits for the game to end then changes it back again when closed. The iRotate site has a manual with the cmd`s but as an example of the basic template that works for me please see this... Run, "C:\Program Files (x86)\iRotate\iRotate.exe" /rotate=90Run, [Path to your game].exeProcess, wait, [yourgame].exeprocess, WaitClose, [yourgame].exeRun, "C:\Program Files (x86)\iRotate\iRotate.exe" /rotate=0ExitAppOn a side note fix it felix has a wrapper that works perfectly for me, see here... http://forum.arcadecontrols.com/index.php/topic,135805.0.html

Well I have found that today there is one less thing to ok before you get to the right menu - I did say it was inconsistant. So here is a script with one less enter command in it. PBA my tables.7z

Hi so I have just finished getting Pinball Arcade set up in my gameex cab. The plan originally was to have each table to show up individually in the menu just like the PinballFX2 ones can be. However after experimenting a bit with ZENs mess of a menu it was concluded to just be too inconsistent as depending on your table buying habits its different for everyone. Also the timing seems to change a bit too as an AHK that would start a table fine one play would start a differing one on another boot . Any way what I settled on was an AHK loader the starts PBA then navigates to your "my games" part of the menu (in landscape). So its not a perfect solution but I am happy with it, although really it offers little more than a bit of menu navigation over just starting via a shortcut. The AHK file is looking for your steam install in" C:\Program Files (x86)" so if you have steam elsewhere then please edit that part So to use this you can put this ahk file (or exe file if you compile it) anywhere in its own folder , then point gameex to that folder as the rom path. You also need to have AutoHotkey installed, and I enclose a advanced config to put in your GameEx\CONFIG\EMULATORS folder. So as they say a picture is worth a lot of words... And here are the contents of the AHK, with some personal key bindings commented out. Run, C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\SteamApps\common\PinballArcade\PinballArcade.exeProcess, wait, PinballArcade.exeWinWait, ahk_class Pinball ArcadeWinWaitActive, ahk_class Pinball ArcadeSleep, 7000Send {Enter Down}, Send {Enter Up}Sleep, 200Send {Enter Down}, Send {Enter Up}Sleep, 200Send {Right Down}, Send {Right Up}Sleep, 20Send {Right Down}, Send {Right Up}Sleep, 20Send {Enter Down}, Send {Enter Up}process, WaitClose, PinballArcade.exeExitApp;#IfWinActive ahk_class Pinball Arcade;Left::LShift;Right::RShift;d::Up;g::Down;f::Left;r::Right;k::Space;Up:;Down::a;#IfWinActiveI hope someone else finds this usefull, although to be honest I am a little underwhelmed by PBA, so its not going into my pincab however if you would want to add this to a pincab with a portrait monitor then I posted a version here that works... http://www.vpforums.org/index.php?showtopic=25813&page=10#entry245849 PBA loader.7z

Thats understandable, probably saved yourself from some problems over the years like that .

Sweet glad you sorted it out - we had a bit of a timezone delay there I think. I would upload my build of 151 with the diffs applied to the FTP but am sure it would break a site rule?.
-
Thought I would post a shot of Mamelayplus on my cab as it suits a pincab perfectly. The diff posted on the site compiles fine on 151 with the nonag and high score diff and works great with pinballx.
-
Thanks tom, Han the new vector HLSL effects are MAJOR in my opinion.
-
The more thought I give to the PinballFX2 stuff the more I feel it should just stay in its thread as anyone thinking about trying it will find it anyway by searching. Also Krackerman is doing a fine job of maintaining the thread so out of respect for his work and a little laziness on my part maybe keep the status quo.
-
Ok Draco I can not take the winking any longer - files uploaded . The Mame map file now has the text in brackets added back in. Would you like me to add the PinballFX2 AHK-files to the download section or just keep them in the THREAD?, they may be a bit specialised. Oh and sorry for the thread hijack KRC.
-
-
Oh yeah thats much smarter than the old stickied thread, please feel free to move any of my maps there yourself or the pinballFX2 stuff it it fits into a home there . Nice forum upgrade well done to all involved.
-
Bit late to the party but here is the map file I am now using - worth upgrading for donkey kong pauline edition ect. I now like to use romlister to make my mapfiles - it can output one txt file with the rom name then another with the descriptions, then pop both lists into open office calc and hey presto . Hbmame 150.rar
-
No worries needed one myself. So the process I used to create it was to use romlister as it can create a text file with just the rom names and then another one with just the descriptions, then its just a matter of pasting this info into a speadsheet (open office calc for me) and then using the output in notepad++ saving this again as a mapfile.

Just incase anyone should need it here is a 150 mapfile... Mame150.rar

This of any use to you?. 149.rar

No problem at all, take your time.

Auto loading individual PinballFX2 tables via Gameex
rockyrocket replied to rockyrocket's topic in General
Damn. One other thing that I forgot was that gameex needs the game snaps/video`s named the same as the AHK`s so even if you use the map you still then need to name the snaps R1-C1 ect. So with each menu change you either name the AHK`s or the snaps , or can gameex be made to use the map name somehow IDK?. As for the layout, tables were released both in groups (starwars set - marvel superheroes - other marvel sets ect) and then zens own original tables individually, so the menu keeps the sets together and fills the gaps in the matrix with the zen tables. As to predicting the future layout - who knows . -

Made a more generic set with some extra Ahk`s to cover the unused slots in the menu matrix, and also a map file. The map file is set out as per the new desktop layout including Earth Defence, so you can either use the map file to rename the ahk`s or just rename them yourself with any new menu changes. Here are the contents of the map at the moment.. R1-C1.ahk|Star Wars - Episode V The Empire Strikes BackR1-C2.ahk|Star Wars - The clone WarsR1-C3.ahk|Star Wars - Boba FettR1-C4.ahk|The AvengersR1-C5.ahk|Fear ItselfR1-C6.ahk|Infinity GauntletR1-C7.ahk|World War HulkR2-C1.ahk|BladeR2-C2.ahk|Iron ManR2-C3.ahk|Spider ManR2-C4.ahk|WolverineR2-C5.ahk|Captain AmericaR2-C6.ahk|Fantastic FourR2-C7.ahk|Civil WarR3-C1.ahk|ThorR3-C2.ahk|Moon KnightR3-C3.ahk|Ghost RiderR3-C4.ahk|X-MenR3-C5.ahk|Earth DefenceR3-C6.ahk|MarsR3-C7.ahk|ExcaliburR4-C1.ahk|ParanormalR4-C2.ahk|Epic QuestR4-C3.ahk|Mysteries Of The DeepR4-C4.ahk|BiolabR4-C5.ahk|PashaR4-C6.ahk|RomeR4-C7.ahk|ShamanR5-C1.ahk|TeslaR5-C2.ahk|EldoradoR5-C3.ahk|V12R5-C4.ahk|Sorcerer`s LairAn image is attached to illustrate the ahk layout but I am sure you get the idea. I will update the first post with the download for this set and it includes the ahk`s - mapfile, and the PinballFX2.ini (with Kracks changes to exit). Gonna walk away from hiding everything behind an image for a bit but will defo come back to it soon. Please post any typo`s and enjoy. -

Hi guys, so yeah the menu order is a bit of a mystery and changes with each update hence the R1-C1 ect idea and a map file. Just to illustrate this here`s the menu state that I worked from... Any labour saving that can be achieved gets a thumb up from me though. Edit - anyone have any tips on using AHK`s Splashimage command as I am trying (and failing) to hide all this with a loading image whilst giving focus to the correct window at the right time?. -

Thinking some more I guess all we really need are the base loaders and then a map file that can then be edited?. Will make the generic ones and a map file at the weekend, unless anyone else is a bit keener than me and wants to do it first to save me some time . -

rockyrocket replied to rockyrocket's topic in General
Sweet well done, I think what I will do this weekend is make a more upgradeable set just named by their position on the menu grid so row-1 column-1 ect and make some extra rows and columns to future proof them, this way you just need to name them. I do think that you are maybe the exception with the regread notworking as that seems to be tried and tested in a number of pincab scripts so I am thinking I will keep it that way. On a different note whats the new table like as I no time to play at the mo?. -

Easiest way is to just rename them, when I made the landscape set from my portriat set only four needed editing the rest were just renames.
