  1. It is a fun movie, and I think a better watch than king of kong as you really get behind Richie as his personality is as much what this is about as the arcade stuff. Personally I can take or leave walter day but todd tucky is such a character - a born presenter.
  2. There is actually a bug in the latest update to LEDblinky (6.1) that got me for a while. If starting animations from the command line or AHK in my case then blinky fails to find the .LWAX file. BUT if you enable debug from within the config app then it works fine - arzoo is aware of this and it will be fixed with the next release Ps, you need to define what .LWAX file to be used for audio ie... LEDBlinky.exe audio.lwax pattern01.lwax Dont know if that really is your issue, but it is worth a try.

  4. Reds are perfect for a RAID 1 set up if you fancy buying a second to ensure you do not get into this situation again?. If that is a bit rich for you maybe you could use Sync Toy to mirror any important data onto another partition, kind of a fake RAID1?. Macrium reflect is a free imaging tool that so far has never failed me. I have to say though that personally it has never been a problem to have a small OS partition combined with a larger Data one on the same drive, or lately a 60 or 120GB SSD and a separate Data drive. These times are a real PITA, and we have all been there and know your pain - just be comforted by the thought you will only let it happen once .
  5. I forget exactly how it was done but after removing all my pool drives, I upgraded V1 to WHS2011 a few years back via a clean install. Drive Bender was installed to handle redundancy and worked perfectly. I remember being a tad nervous migrating/importing my old pool into drive bender one drive at a time but ran into no issues. The process is a bit scarey but ultimately was worth it as no data was deleted and you can still pull the drives and grab data in another box. Have a look at the bottom of this page for more info... https://social.microsoft.com/Forums/en-US/cf354b5d-b37b-4b7f-a0d5-8e573697777f/how-to-recover-data-after-server-failure?forum=whsfaq
  6. That guy produces some exceptional work!. I ended up watching loads of his vids and now want to play with some fiber optics. This build is my fave of the lot, and only 550 hours work too .
  7. That is a very kind offer thank you. Another way would be to just have the option to have only horizontal games in the screensaver maybe?. I am happy to wait for Evo and do not really want to derail this thread any more, but out of interest at the moment quicklaunch sends [orientation] to the following AHK to rotate my monitor in mame, for HBMame the romname is sent and an .ini is parsed - quicklaunch rocks!.
  8. Was thinking about this today. If a plugin is cooking, it could be cool to have an option to play a selected intro movie once before loading any games - what you think?. Also on a personal level if the screensaver process could show up in quicklaunch then maybe I could rotate my screen for vertical mame games if it knows the orientation?.
  9. Not exactly want you asked for, but in my star wars cab GameEx is set to start star wars on boot, then wait for it to be exited before starting itself. Screensaver is disabled on this cab but I am sure you could set up the one game as stated above. To set this up you play the chosen game then exit out of GameEx and copy your runitgame.bat from the gameex/DATA folder and give it a new name. Then in the "Tweaks / Performance" section of the settings wizard point to it in the "Launch on start up" field. Good luck.
  10. Thanks carny for trying for me, still black screen though with aero disabled. Dtoxy or fraps work well with future pinball so we do at least have options - dtoxy is especially powerful. The list of things that do work with Ffmpeg can now include Bigscore and TPA if you set it to full screen windowed (although I have now uninstalled it ).
  11. Understood, just wondering how responsive it is?, and thinking it would only need a small tweak. I have experimented with mapping the keystate of the flippers to a ledwiz event but have had noticeable lag so far with my bumbling attempts. Maybe swisslizards DOF plugin is the answer.
  12. Have not played with the plug in yet as I have LEDblinky working fine, but is there any lag?. Thinking this may be usefull to have set up for games that do not use force feedback on the flippers?
  13. ↑ Yeah what he said ↑ Personally my feelings on TPA are that it is great on desktops and android devices, but lacking in a cabinet. My cab is about to have some unused tables pruned and I think TPA will get removed aswell. If they improve the camera angle and give us the promised lighting upgrades then it will certainly get put back in but until then - "your fired" , sorry Farsight.
  14. Just played with this a bit more on some other systems with mixed results. First the good it (Ffmpeg) worked great with ... - Visual Pinball (obviously) - Unity3D Pinball - Bluestacks. But failed to capture... - Future Pinball - Pinball FX2 - Pinball Arcade In most cases the windows desktop was recorded and not the game itself. This may not be conclusive as I do not claim to be any kind of expert on this at all - maybe you can define what layer is recorded?. All tests were done outside of PinballX from the cmdline. Really the only one I would like to see work is FP - wonder if FRAPS works from CMD?
  15. Ha ha, yep today`s southpark update places the start position back to the top left. Football is now tile 14. Fun tables though after a stressful day .
  16. Just want to say thanks again for showcasing ffmpeg carny as it is a very powerful tool. Used a couple of variations of the script today to record just the playfield with audio and rotate to the correct orientation. For a standard landscape set up I found the script below worked great. And for recording when the screen is in portrait mode (android ect) you only need to rotate 90° .. Of course you still need to manually rename with this method but it is pretty universal.
  17. So I know this is an old thread but I think that it needs updating now that NukeLauncher is out as this new method is now much better I think. To get NukeLauncher working in GameEx is very much like configering it for PinballX, and all the first steps are the same and well documented on the SITE. The main difference of course is that GameEx scans a folder of "roms" to create it`s games lists instead of reading XML`s as pinballX does. GameEx will scan any file type to populate its gameslist, so you could just point it to your preview videos or create some fake roms. One solution that works is to create a folder of "dummy" roms consisting of blank text files, one for each of the tables on the menu even if you have not purchased them yet. This folder can be placed anywhere but in the example it is located in the PinballFX2 folder within steam. We then need to edit the NukeLauncher.ini to point to this folder instead of to the XML location. Later on you can remove any of these dummy roms for any tables you do not own. To stop gameEx exiting back to the menu when Esc is pushed we want to use an advanced config to disable Esc and one named "PinballFX2.ini" is included and should be placed into the ?:\GameEx\CONFIG\EMULATORS folder, this will allow us to exit via NukeLauncher. Then it is time to set our paths in GameEx and define the commandline as... NukeLauncher.exe "[Rom]" But screenshots speak a thousand words.. Then play some pinball. PinballFX2.ini
  18. Yes but so much fun!. Made some media for this including a table video, all on the FTP.
  19. Yep, no problems at all now we have the new exit options in the latest build. Had to manually edit the ini in the early versions but now it works great in both PinballX and GameEx - thanks again.
  20. Just discovered a new game, Duet is perfectly suited to a pincab and is super addictive just like Geometry Dash. More of my time is about to be lost.
  21. Wonder if the rom browser plug-in works in the android port of XBMC?.
  22. Very interesting!, thanks for documenting this Carny .
  23. Ok so I am going to quote myself and just hope it does not rip a hole into the fabric of the universe (like crossing the streams). But as I feel my last comment came over a bit terse I will throw a bone. One thing I First did wrong was to place nuke and its .ini into the wrong folder (the PinballFX2 folder within steam) when you need to put it into the root of the steam directory right next to steam.exe. Now if you have edited the NukeLauncher.ini to point to your PinballFX2.xml (probably in pinballX database folder) and defined the positions of both the football tile and also the starting position in the menu grid you should be ok to test outside PinballX. Start steam open fx2 then exit it and place the attached BAT file into the same folder NukeLauncher is in. It should start PinballFX2 and go to the walking dead table. As marvin would say "don`t panic" if it goes to the wrong table we just want it to start. Now open up the .INI and check that the order the tables are listed in is the same as in your menu - if not edit your ini until correct. Now you are in a position to test within PinballX using the settings from the site. Hope that helps a bit. Start Walking dead.7z
  24. The AHK file is not needed for operation, it was included only for the testers feedback purposes. NukeLauncher.exe is the compiled version of the AHK file. You should only need the .EXE, the .INI and your pinball FX2 .xml from pinballX.
