Can you try moving ssf.ini and your settings.ini files out of the SSF folder and see if it works then? Just to eliminate your settings? Also can you verify your DirectX is up to date if you haven't already?

It's actually not a gray area at all, if you bypass the copy protection or DRM, it's illegal if you're making a "backup" of anything. Even if it's one you own. The law is pretty clear on that. I would guess most, if not all, store bought bluray movies have copy protection, or software wouldn't exist to bypass it. So the sad part of your story is that he is breaking the law by even making a backup in the first place. Wil you get prosecuted? Probably not. But you're still hacking past protected/encrypted material, and that's illegal. Think of it like this: If you hacked your bank security to look at your checking account, you still broke the law. Sure, it's your money, but you had to hack through security to get there. /end my 2c

Could be another problem with your MAME EXE... You've been having lots of problems with MAMEUIFX, at this point I would recommend a different MAME version, or a recompile of the one you're using. /my 2c

Not only am I still waiting for these keys, I also see their website is kicking out a 503 error. Maybe it's my age, but you've never heard of Jet Set Radio? Streets or Rage 2? Golden Axe? Gunstar Heroes? Or maybe I misread that post?

Also note, you don't need to do any configuration in the plugin itself as long as you enable it. The command line for mounting will generate automatically. This is especially important since different versions of Daemon Tools use different command lines, all of which are taken care of internally.

OK, well I've made some changes to fix the issues you've reported (as well as some others I didn't initially think about). This will now load the plugin with or without having to set automated command-lines for non-default installations. This will also locate the Program Files folders, even if they aren't in the "C:/" drive. As an added bonus, my friends out there with different language installations of Windows will also be able to use the plugin since it no longer looks for "Program Files", but uses the Windows variables instead (such as Programmes in French). Ahh, got ya! That's the problem. Fur the GUI, it's a bug when the loader is trying to pull up command lines automatically and it can't. For GameEx, it's not able to see them because fur that to work it needs to be installed in the default installation path (Program Files/DAEMON Tools Lite/) You'll be able to set the location manually in a few minutes, I'll fix the GUI issue. Hang tight!

If you're not sure the easiest way, right click the exe and select Properties. On the Security tab, copy and paste the Object here. Can you also post the command-line that was working for you?

Do you have a settings.xml in the Virtual Drive Loader plugin folder? If so can you move it or delete it and try again to run it? If that doesn't work, maybe try and put a text fine in that directory and name it settings.xml ? It sounds like the settings.xml is corrupted or missing or something (it shouldn't matter if it's missing, but it might crash out if it's corrupted). Please post the contents of that file here if that doesn't do it. Also if possible, please click the details button on that crash so I can see the stack trace.

What version of dtools? Also, are you able to mount images outside of gx?

Ok, so are your games still in RAR files? capsnk.rar ? You'll need to concentrate on making it run outside of GameEx first or else you're adding an extra layer of complication.

GamesIn7zips=True which should be GamesIn7zips=False Also your log showed it extracted a RAR file. The games should be zipped the same way they are for MAME, which is why people generally use ROMs based off a MAME set. I'm sure I know the answer, but can get it to run using that command line outside of GameEx?

Well awesome to hear that! I try to keep my logging detailed enough to help. I'm with B2K24, I rebuilt my list after an update to my MAME EXE and my games appear to be all there.

Are you using MAME set? If yes, why are your roms rar'd? Don't you typically just feed it the zip? Just a guess, I don't use this emulator. But I don't think GameEx would typically need to extract this file to play it if you're just using zipped MAME ROMs.
