  1. Aside from making emulators for each game and then grouping them, no. I have an app for this and it's only about 60% done, not ready for public consumption. In my own testing it was easier to achieve this in a standalone app as opposed to the plugin system. Basically what I have going is an exe that you add parameters to and it splits out a command line based on the game you select at runtime. It also spits out a MAP file for GameEx to use as the game list. It hides itself until the launched process closes so GameEx doesn't try to regain focus. What I left of on was a way to build the artwork folders for you. I haven't had much time for development so there it sits.
  2. It's in a database file in your config folder. Can't remember the exact name of it, but it's a db3 file. The same file also contains your play counts.
  3. That sucks, but I completely understand.
  4. I still need to see the path to your Daemon Tools exe. Can you also post the contents of that xml file? It looks like DT is not being picked up properly, which means you may not have installed it in the default location.
  5. No, the xml should be in the GameEx > Plugins > DT Loader folder, the one with the test.iso you mentioned earlier. Not the folder with the roms in it. Also your command line is wrong of you're using the plug-in. It should be SSF.exe [DTools] , that ones for Tom.'s. If I had to guess then if that doesn't work you either don't have Daemon Tools installed or you didn't install it properly. Can you mount images outside of GameEx?
  6. Can you post the full path to your virtual drive app for me? Not the plugin file, Daemons Tools or whatever. You shouldn't need to do any configuration anyhow, just add the command line variable in GameEx. Also, in the folder with the iso, is there a settings.xml file? If not try creating a blank one in a text editor and putting it in that folder. If that's the issue I can fix that in code.
  7. Hi there, Are you downloading the plugin using the setup wizard or directly? If so, and the dll is in the GameEx>Plugins folder, I'll need you to post the error message you're receiving. Without knowing what the error is there's not much I can do. Of course, the best way to ensure you have the latest version is to download it directly from the GameEx Repisitory Manager.
  8. Not without a log file at the very least...
  9. I still think this is a GameEx issue with the alpha channel during the rendering FWIW.
  10. I would think, through pure speculation, there's something up with the alpha layer removal when GameEx renders the snap. Might want to ask Tom to take a look at this.
  11. Happy birthday old friend! I hope this post find you loving life and living what you love!
  12. My cab has been down since before the Rescue 911 table came out... I'm getting too far behind!!!
  13. Put it somewhere else that doesn't require elevated permissions, like the root of your C:/ drive.
  14. I can beat it without a loss. I beat the extended circuit last week on the PSP too. Love this game! The Wii version is pretty spot on too!
  15. How is that not already a thing?
  16. Well I don't use that artwork because Game Info displays all that on the 2nd monitor, and I have an Xpadder profile set up that launches specifically for Attract Mode using the Xpadder plugin. So it works for me, but probably won't work for everyone.
  17. It is, and I think it's the 5 key specifically. Whatever is the default MAME insert coin key. Adds by the default key I mean the stock one, not whatever you change it to.
  18. Think of RA more like MESSUI. Sure it can function on it's own as a front end but really it's the guts that you'd be focusing on. The collection of cores in one place and the ability to set things up one time and be set are the real benefits. And of course only having to update one exe. There's a learning curve with every little thing in this hobby, that's part of the challenge! But there's lots of threads here to help get you started.
  19. Well like you said, I jumped in and have really seen the benefit of it. I guess in my case it's kind of the sane reason I love RetroArch. It's easier for me to maintain one executable as opposed to several, and in my case anyway, most of the things people play on my cab work fine in those instances. If you're really hung up on using an emulator to gain access to a handful of games just for your own peace of mind, by all means don't listen to me. I would just prefer having things easier to maintain and still keep all the users happy as opposed to worrying about some freakish hack cart or translation I'll probably never actually play anyway. /my 2c
  20. Sounds a lot like a Saturday plugin project! This won't be difficult, but also won't be done through the GameEx UI if I do it my way.
