  1. Yay! Happy bday bro! Hope you get the woman to 'bend over double' today! Thanks for all you do, and I still adore your DS projects!
  2. I like it, but I was thinking something more "mass effect" like... Kinda more like a calculator? PS: Your link doesn't work, they don't allow hotlinking.
  3. Over at his site. Click me!
  4. Great to hear you got it working, and welcome to GameEx!

5 speaker surround... It really kicks out the tunes! It's funny because my neighbors have called the cops on me already when I had a gathering and people were playing hip hop on Rhapsody. The subwoofer is powerful enough to blow the lights out on the coin doors after about 15 mins (especially since there's not many places to vent the air out of there). So how would I go about taking the old lock off? And can you maybe give me a cost estimate of a new one if you've already been down this road before? I'm certainly no locksmith! And oh by the way, didn't mean to hijack this thread.
  6. Ya know Draco... If you found a dark red LED display type text to go with that theme for the list, that would look hella cool! Add slight transperacy (if that's even possible) to the text and it would be SLICK AS SNOT! It really looks great so far!

Only bummer there is I took the bucket out so I could access the subwwoofer and the SuperJoyBox that's mounted in there. If I could do that though it would be worth trying to rearrange things. I gotta put LEDs in the coin door already since the bass seems to blow out the lights in the slots rather quick. While we're on the subject though, anyone know how I can get a new key for mine? It didn't come with one so it rattles because it's unlocked. Do I need a whole new lock?
  8. C'mon over anytime Celly! I got a pair of Tech 1200's and a truck load of vinyl if you wanna try mixing for real!
  9. This PSD is cool! I got some uses for that already! Thanks Draco!
  10. I think you're doing a pretty fine job Draco!

Wonder if I can do this with my Happ coin door?
  12. Like besides Lufia for SNES? I've really been into Donkey Kong Country Returns because it's awesomesauce, and at work I play Golden Sun Dark Dawn on DS. I'm also trying to get back into Final Fantasy on PS3 but I just don't have the time lately, so I stick to gaming in bed and at work, you know, the American dream! Wow a foot and a half? That sucks! We're only looking at 2" or so!
  13. Kiddies have parents to pay for Live and we adults are too cheap so we stick with PS3s.

To be honest, I think there's a switch in there that is used to determine the weight and then allow or deny what you put in. I don't think it's possible to do this unless you somehow make the coin switch stick so that it doesn't reject anything, but then the problem will be to trigger the sensor when the coin goes in.
  15. Just press the tab key in MAME and change the coin button in the interface controls (maybe it's system controls rather). It's not under the Player XX controls though, it's the last option on that screen. Highlight the 'coin' option and press the button you want to use.
  16. Isn't there a way to configure the Karaoke plugin in the Programs menu in Windows? I have it installed and I'm pretty sure it's in there but admittedly I don't do karaoke (trust me it's better that way).
  17. // Procedure to stop the torture: If var1=B52s Then var2=destroycabinet Else var2=enjoymusic EndIf
  18. I just had a thought. Maybe it's striking a key during the 'nag' screen and maybe your machine doesn't have internet? Is this possible? Another thought I had was maybe there's a Windows services issue here? Did you 'clean up' your Windows install and maybe remove a service that GameEx uses by accident? Also, did you try using a different theme or are you just using the default one? Did you install a codec pack? There's a ton of possibilities here. I'm just shooting from the hip so to speak, I don't mean to ask seemingly dumb questions. .EDIT. The two things that trouble me here after looking at the log file: 1) Is your MAME path really C:\GameEx and if so, 2) Why does it say your MAME EXE is sleep.exe? That doesn't look right to me. Maybe that's causing the issue here?
  19. Honestly I use an out of the box XP Media Center install (} just did a fresh install two months ago) and don't (or never have had) this issue. Maybe I missed something, but if you go to task manager after the crash is GameEx still running or do you get the GameEx crash screen? Maybe GameEx is just losing focus or something?
  20. I run ClrMAMEPro each time I update my MAME build. It's an easy to use proggy, and it does what it does rather well.
  21. ClrMAMEPro is a ROM auditing program. As long as you use a dat for your MAME build it will remove or change (if needed) your existing ROM set based on the list MAME uses. If you use Naomi this could indeed present a problem if Naomi relies on ROMS that MAME has since updated or re-dumped (} don't use that emu so I can't give you a clear answer on this). The hiscore addition not only retains hi scores but also parses the info to GameEx so you can view hi scores for games from the ROM info screen as opposed to launching the ROM first.
  22. I'd rather just compile MAME to remove the nag screens. Hi-score support is just a bonus for me as I would have just compiled my own build either way.
  23. As far as this goes (your update anyways) GameEx does not do this. If Tom were to add depth to custom lists it may function this way, at least for MAME. But it does not do this at present so you will need to put in a feature request for it. As far as button mapping, I don't know anything about assigning the number pad buttons as I have never tried to do this myself. Sorry.
  24. Yeah this is also an issue for me. I disabled playing. Music on startup because of this very thing. Now I want to listen to music I go to the multimedia section of GameEx and load the tunes from there. This ensuress a random song everytime I use it instead of being forced to listen to the same songs in the same order everytime. I made this change some time ago so I can't be sure exactly when this started happening to me. .:EDIT:. If I was forced to listen to the B52s everytime my cab turned on I would probably drive my car right off a cliff!
  25. If Tom wants to temp admin me, I could remove some of these myself. I generally only report them as spam posts come up. I noticed you've got quite a list going already! I don't mind following links to check users out. I do virus repair as a side job and I enjoy the challange personally!
