  1. Wait... so now your list filters work for you? My list filters still don't work at all... You filter regions and mahjong etc?
  2. I think he added compatibility for flv videos, but I honestly don't think they're supported as video icons\snaps. I coulda sworn that was only as stand alone videos, and afaik it's still just avi\mpg for these purposes. Tom will have to confirm or deny this, but I don't think it's coded as such. Like trying to use tiff snaps... you can view them in pictures, but it only works for jpeg and png for snaps. Correct me if I'm wrong.
  3. I didn't think GameEx supports these. Only AVI and MPG. Can anyone else confirm this?
  4. Are you using an advanced config?
  5. Not sure I get what you mean... isn't mng configured via mame? I don't use this format so I won't be of much assistance.
  6. It is. Thanks for this Tom! Another quick question: is it trial and error to find the button number assignments? The app that you press the button for (using the edit feature of advanced config) detects my buttons starting with 0, but the advanced config app Ben coded to use button combos to exit emulators starts with 1. It's not a big deal if it is trial and error mind you, was just hoping there was an easier way, or wondering if it matches what the gamepad options in the control panel of Windows tells me.
  7. It's an issue with the gamepads I'm using I'm fairly certain. The wife is getting me an iPAC and some buttons/joysticks for xmas, so I'll keep the keyboard until then. In custominput.ini, there doesn't seem to me to be an ESC mapper for the joypad, unless I need to edit it in notepad or something. Just back, forward, next track, play/pause, select, etc.
  8. Awesomesauce! Thanks!
  9. Does this mean it will work for me? I was getting a critical error before... I think it was an "illegal operation" error or something of that nature. I couldn't even get it to spit out an INI file. Works on my lappy though, so I was thinking it might have been related to my AMD processor in my cab. .:EDIT:. It was a memory access violation I was getting. My bad.
  10. Oh that's fine. Thanks for the update. I'm not gonna get to it until tomorrow anyways. Any word on the new and improved GBA set? Is it completed?
  11. Probably a stupid question, but can I exit attract mode using the controller, or is there some way within GameEx to bind the ESC key to a button combo on the controller to exit it? I would also like to map a combo to exit my emulators, and eliminate the keyboard entirely (I'll use GameEx configs for this) but I don't think I can do that for the MAME attract mode unless I missed a setting somewhere. Is this doable? .:EDIT:. Hell... I can't get any of the Advanced Config commands to send ESC via the gamepad. I tried joy mapping and exit process, and I just can't get it to work. I guess I'll just live with a keyboard until I get my new iPAC.
  12. Any idea how long that will be taking?
  13. I can't get on to EmuMovies. I noticed this because I was trying to use the Artwork Download Utility and it wouldn't log in. Then when I went to report it, I saw the whole site was down. Is this planned down time, or do I have to wait for a bit while things get sorted? Please advise.
  14. My clones haven't been filtering properly in some time now. My MAME list contains a huge amount of mess! I am currently going through and deleting things by hand... Not sure but I think you can do the same by just pressing the DEL button on the keyboard to remove them. I think there's a bug in the filtering system somewhere, but I can't seem to isolate it.

Got ya. You can't change the items in that menu sadly, at least not at this time. You can change your default language to Portugese through the Advanced Config and that should change what you're after.

I could try... But I have no idea what you're asking. Could you please try again? Start from the beginning and we'll take it from there.
  17. Ahh these are security hex screws. Thanks for pointing me in the right direction... I found a kit that has bits for all security screws. You guys rock!!

You can only use one menu for MAME and its various components. In external emulators there is an option to select custom backgrounds in the advanced config for that emulator.
  19. I'm getting an ipac and some buttons for xmas, so I decided to tackle the control panel in the mean time. There's a plastic sheet over rhe top of the existing one, and the only hole in it is right where the trackball is gonna go. Cue the problem. The screws that hold the plastic cover down seem like a normal hex screw, but there's a pin in the middle! I took a picture to two different hardware stores and they both said "I don't know what the heck that is!" So the question... Anyone ever run into these before? If yes, where the hell do I find the tool that takes these damn things out? Or am I just plain screwed? (Pun intended!) Thanks to anyone who can help me get this ugly orange camoflauge inlay outta here!
  20. Oh yeah Celly? Is that a challenge? /me turns on infinite lives cheat This really is a cool idea. If it's possible, I'd like to +1 that.

#3: Isn't that drawn into the image? You would need to ask Draco to change it for you or get your hands on the PSD file (although it's not a PSD file because I think he uses GIMP instead). I'd just shoot him a PM and see if he'd be willing to help you out.
  22. Oh, so you're using groups. Got it. You'll have to set those up twice if you want to do it this way, because once you make a group it stops showing up as separate emulators. On the other hand, if you didn't do it that way, there is a list of 'All Games' within GameEx already, so you can get the 'All Games' display and the 'Emulators' display without having to create a group at all. I think that's what we have here... I just let GameEx sort my emus in alphabetical order. Never even looked in the INI... Interesting that you can set the order things appear in. This may just streamline my cab a little more! That is... if I even got this question right... It's 2° here and my brain doesn't function well in the cold.
  23. Do you have it set up to stretch like that or is that the original game aspect ratio? It almost looks to me like it's stretching the game images but not tracking properly since the bunker would be there if it was a 4:3 ratio. Plus the ball almost looks more like a rectangle to me. Just taking a stab, I really don't know what else to tell you to try. .:EDIT:. Wait, I bet you use your wide screen monitor turned sideways huh? The MAWS image looks like it's a vertical game. If so, I'm leaning more and more towards that image being stretched and things not tracking as they should. Maybe it's a MAME64 bug? I don't use that build, so I can't say for sure. I would try turning the stretching off and see if you still get an error.
  24. Glad to hear it's resolved. If you would be so kind as to tell us what happened, others may be able to benefit from this. I also responded to your other post.
