  1. Could you post your log?
  2. Not really. Just grab the offline installer and check the box next to game manual viewer.
  3. Did you install the GhostSccript PDF viewer when you initially installed GameEx? It's in the offline installer package.
  4. RetroBytes Portal is also a great place to find hi rez console images to use.
  5. You can use AVIs for icons, but I don't think there's a way to launch a startup video upon loading an emulator. You can always use a startup video for GameEx though as far as I know.
  6. I still madly adore pSX for this because when it comes to plugins and whatnot I suck at it. Glad everything is working now though. I have a new 1 GB video card coming and I was thinking about making a switch to see if there's any difference, and this will save me a headache!
  7. LOL @ Draco!!! Now you better watch it or you're gonna hurt Tom's feelings! Heh heh! @Freq: Oh yeah, it's "Be sure to drink your GameEx", my fault! That was my *other* decoder ring! I still remember when I first unscrambled that message. I was like "A crummy advertisement? Son of a bitch!"
  8. Don't worry Freq. All the decoder ring ever says is 'be sure to drink your ovaltine!' Props Draco! You've definitely earned my respect even without a flashy title! ;-)
  9. You know, I wonder if that isn't due to some games being analog incapable? You could do a sendkeys in the emulator config to send F5 after the pro gram has been running. That's the only solution I can think of though aside from a wrapper.
  10. Seeing as "show desktop" needs to be set to "true", I'm afraid that answer is no... There used to be a "loader" that covered up the dialog with a graphic, but I don't remember what it was called or where I found it. Perhaps a dig around the forums might turn something up...
  11. I would like to add that it is also helpful to search the forum using [RESOLVED] before posting, as someone may have a similar issue that has already been addressed. I've been trying to keep up with this as we go, but of course if someone doesn't let us know the error or problem is fixed, it's hard to add this tag to the forum title.
  12. 1. Do you have the proper codecs installed? 2. Did you update your MAME list?
  13. Happy new year everyone (except the Chinese anyhow!) ;-)
  14. Snagging this. It's been awhile since my tables played correctly! Thanks!
  15. Just to chime in quick... You can go to Advanced Setup in the GameEx folder of the Start Menu and verify everything is correct there.
  16. Advantages to using MESS?
  17. Can you post the favorites list soo I can have a look at it? I'm not sure what format Mala uses for this, but it can probably be done.
  18. Same problem over here with a nearly identical system spec. I'd be interested in knowing how you fix the lag problem too. I should also note the lag only happens when I launch pinball tables from GameEx. They work just fine outside of it.
  19. Yeah, but for me I think it's because Lufia doesn't have a snap and Double Dragon 2 was the game I played right before that. I'll have to do some testing to be sure though.
  20. Wait... You can't map these in the Advanced Config? Am I missing something here?
  21. Haha! Old farts indeed! Thanks you guys for the kind words.
  22. I thought we were talking about netbooks, not notebooks? Two different beasts entirely.
  23. Is all that really needed seeing as you have a PSP? In my opinion the PSP does a fine job of running damn near everything... And well! Eboots for PSX, and if it's a slim there's almost no emulators that don't shine on it! If you're looking for some links, I can certainly help out there. I love my PSP! That said, you planning on a full balls to the wall install or a more slimmed down version? V4 themes and full artwork with that? I would think that a nice netbook like that could more than handle whatever you throw at it.

If you have the demo, that screen is replaced by the donation screen. If you want the initial screen to load, you will need to register your version. On the plus side, donating is cheap and well worth every penny. Not to mention the features you'll gain! Seriously consider it.
