I use a cpanel image with the buttons showing that launches before the game starts for each emulator. Is that what you mean?

You actually set this up under the emulator config. You can either point it right at your default image (like gencontrols.png for example, in png or jpeg) or point it at a folder if you want a seperate one per game (like Sonic The Hedgehog (U).png as long as the file is exactly the same as the name of the game you're launching). If you choose to do the latter, it will only show an image if you have one tied to that particular game. Feel free to ask if you have any other questions.

I think you would need to put in a request to GhostScript for that feature as that's an external app that handles PDF viewing.

That's a tough layout for this emu. Here's what I would do: Top row: L, R, Y Bottom row: B, A, X At least that's the way I would lay it out based on the real controller. You'll probably also need to map a Start and Select button to something... maybe your iPac?

@Alpha: Tom can make GameEx do what it needs to based on MAME revision (like he currently does for V1 and V2 bezels) so any changes shouldn't matter if you use an older version. @Stilk: you use a beta build? Or a 'U' build rather?

Yes. He will have to change the CMD that GameEx passes for artwork.

^^good to know in advance! I don't use beta builds, so perhaps this will be fixed before the next stable build comes out.

Well, I personally use Xpadder and make keyboard assignments for my emulators. Maybe this will work for you too? You'd basically be setting up keyboard inputs for your buttons and then having Xpadder map them to joystick buttons for you. I use ZSNES so I'm not really sure if that would work or not.

Here's your problem: If you send ESC to SNES9X it will quit it. You just need to remove the sendkeys function.

I thought they made vertical and horizontal versions of tables now for pincabs in Visual Pinball? That would seem to be a better solution unless I'm missing something?

My wife is the same way so I feel your pain! She's actually been pretty supportive though since it means so much to me which is cool. There's no chicks around these forums because I figure they're all a little jealous! Haha! The monitor is an HP w2007 20" LCD. It's worked out pretty great once I got the angle right. I used an HDTV TV mount from WalMart for $25 which works pretty awesome. I only recently added the cold cathode lighting behind it to make it pop a bit better. The look just seems to fit the cab pretty good and the size was just big enough to fit the hole that was already there.

I can do it. I'll give it a day or so just to be 100%, I almost feel like it was too easy. Haha!

Can't you loop it from the out on card #1 into the in on card #2? Shouldn't be a big deal really.

Weather and news feeds are working. I can pull up Rhapsody and the GameEx website in External Apps which I couldn't before. The first time I tried weather, I got a window that said "GameEx" in the top part where the close button (red X) is, and in the body of the window it said "2690/2689". I closed it and it went to Weather, but then when I exited it GameEx crashed again. However I have not been able to reproduce this error. Is there something I need to do in IE to fix the flash issue? I should have 10.2 installed as of yesterday, but I use Firefox so I guess I can't be positive that IE works off the same install (but I think it does). :edit: I'll go see if YouTube works in IE quick. :edit #2: Indeed you were right. I had to update Flash seperately for IE. I did notice also that my secondary video previews are gone... Is this part of the workaround? All my categories only show my MAME "all games" logo, even the categories that don't use MAME.

Bingo! Videos work now! I can play exit and play until I can't stand no more! Sadly though, still not seeing YouTube videos. Just a blank white screen. Could be unrelated though, you'd know better than I.
