  1. Well, this time it crashed GameEx and I lost my Windows taskbar and desktop so I can't launch anything until I restart. It also didn't produce a GameEx log screen like it usually does, I had to go get it out of the LOG folder in my GameEx install. It did however give me the trusty "We're sorry..." window which you can use to send the report to Microsoft. I'll post it here before I restart my cab. I guess one would call this a "hard crash"?
  2. You may be right about that, but it happens sometimes.
  3. Two things I notice are wrong here, but not sure if either will fix the problem.
  4. No need. I just discovered the answer, and it's that I'm a fricking idiot. I used Lupas Rename 2000 to crop out the release list numbers and there was a space in front of each file name. But why is GameEx cropping that space out before passing it to No$Zoomer? No worries, I fixed my files and all is well. Well, all except my humility anyways...
  5. OK, so I'm banging my head against the wall here, and I may have some internal bleeding. When I launch an NDS rom from the command line, it works great. If I load it in GameEx, it keeps saying "cartridge not found". What the hell? All my settings are right. The correct command line is being passed from GameEx. WTF?
  6. Well, the font is a Windows related thing, not a gameex one. My guess is the theme you're using now doesn't use a font that isn't already installed. If you didn't install that font yourself (and you would know if you did), it just wouldn't be there. If you want that theme to work, you'll have to install Joystix yourself. Good news is you can download it here and install it using this guide.
  7. Just let me know when Mesk! I'm all over that. Plus I've been wanting to test this feature since I put together my new cab internals. I'll be around tomorrow after 3:00 CST if you're down for some MK.
  8. Make sure you installed the Joystix font is what I meant (TTF=True Type Font). Also, I believe this setting would be in your theme, but I'm not sure. My guess is that you haven't installed the font on the destination computer, as Joystix isn't a preinstalled font.

    Hahaha!

Saw this on Tom's forum ad server and thought it was pretty hilarious! Me want cooookkkkiiieeee! Nom nom!
  10. 12:36:07.2 24/03/2011: Error: Font 'Joystix' does not support style 'Regular' Change the font type to "BOLD". Also make sure you installed the TTF on the destination computer if you haven't already done so.
  11. I bet his gameroom isn't lit up with blacklights!
  12. Nice contrib guys! Thanks!
  13. First EXE was a no go. Second one too unfortunately. One of these revisions caused my keyboard to stop responding in GameEx too, I had to turn on DX input for it to work again, just so ya know.
  14. Ha! That guy must have one hell of a digipron collection! Remind me not to touch his controllers!
  15. I will try this. Hold on a minute. .:EDIT:. Okay. I launched a YouTube video and all I got was a white screen. Next I played a video on my HDD. It played fine, but crashed out again upon exiting. I'll go over to the cab and post the log.
  16. She's all done! I took a couple pics: Here's one with the flash on. The lighting didn't come up very well in the speaker grates, under the CP, and behind the monitor, so I took one in the dark also without the flash (although it came out blurry you get the idea) : Finally, I can sit and enjoy playing it! PS: Thank you Tom and the GameEx crew for making my childhood dream a reality!
  17. Looks really nice! Excellent work as always Tom! My only suggestion is to have the search default to "Games" instead of "With Google".
  18. Tres bien! Nice scripting Tom! Just gotta loop the news syndicator into the front page of my theme now.
  19. You should just be able to install over the old version. So just so I have you, you are completely unable to add games to your favorites? Or just certain emulators?
  20. No, you put it in any folder and point GameEx at it under MAME settings (I keep mine in the MAME directory).
  21. It's actually next on my list!
  22. Here you go mi amigo!
  23. As per Draco's request... Here's the PSD for making controller layouts for those of us that use XBOX 360 controllers on their rigs. It's actually based on the BlueBox theme, but you can change the background image and header text to suit your needs. The resolution is set at 800x600 and looks great on my machine even though it gets slightly stretched to fill up the WS. Thanks as always to Greatflash for making the theme I use and releasing the PSDs so tweaks and improvements can be made. If you make the images and set your emulator to this PNG in the emulator's menu (Controls path to be specific), it will pop up much like the MAME cpanel does before launching a game. Everything on this PSD is customizable right down to the markers on the analog sticks. I'm here for ya if you have any questions! Enjoy! Click here to download!
  24. Sure Draco! Thanks for the compliment! I'm at work right now, and I have a little layer cleanup to do on the PSD, but I'll be happy to post it in the sharing thread when I get home. I love to share!
  25. Ha! Connectivity with the games db is a great idea! So it would be similar to the way Live connects to MAME games, except we'd make a profile for ourselves on the GamesDB website?
