Your setup is puzzling... I think MAME supports multiple keyboards, so couldn't you use a USB keyboard to press tab and press the keys you want to assign on the other one?

Yeah. I also learned that the virtualdrive doesn't load cue sheets. Ahh crap! I guess I can live without xpadder for now... Would be nice to get my combo keys working for state saves though. I don't know if it matters but I think the [ROMNAME] variable isn't working because remove brackets is set to yes, so it's not really passing the full file name.

I know. I was hoping it could be added. I'm trying some things to see if I can eliminate DT from my rig and use Tom's VirtualDrive instead. [ROMNAME].cue doesn't work either.

I hate to bump this thread, but is there a way around the [ROMFILE] variable so I can get this to launch DaemonsTools? [ROMPATH]/[ROMFILE] doesn't seem to be working.

Change the key binding in MAME by pressing tab in a game. Select controls, then find the option to change insert coin from 5 to your key combo.

Ahh you'll have to make one from the command line. mame.exe -createconfig I think is what you would pass.

Sound stuttering? That can't be a good sign... -triplebuffer has always been a nightmare. I don't use this in my command line anymore. I also specify Direct3d in my command line... -d3d Not sure if that will help you out at all. You may wanna try taking a peek at your MAME INI and see if the audio latency buffer is enabled. I think it's way at the bottom.

Ahh only had it on for a sec. I mapped some emulator features to the joypad using LT and RT as a "shift" key for state saving and such. Everything seems to be in order here: I hate to ask, but... Have you updated your list?

Yeah, I sure do! We're getting married officially June 4th, and mine's been running me ragged with wedding plans. I figure she's already my wife anyway, since she assumes control of the money and makes me sleep on the couch when I get her mad... You probably know how THAT goes, huh?

^^Also a great game! I play it on XBLA so I haven't noticed any problems! I wish there was a PC version though. Don't get me wrong, I love my ps3 too.
