  1. Yeah it was based off the GameEx installed mame feature. Seeing as it uses native support I don't see much reason to change using your mame exe since games aren't gonna launch using mame as an emulator this way... You can override the path once the plugin loads though so I'll add a prompt window to browse to it if it can't find one. Sure I can add a driver search using the current framework. That's not hard at all. I'll work on these right now.
  2. Sorry but not much can be done here without at least a log file. Let's get that going before we try and tackle the custom menus.
  3. Knock yourself out Krakerman.
  4. Can you generate an xml with the same version or dummy in vanilla mame and try it?
  5. That's kind of outside the scope of this project. Maybe I'll make an emu commander too one day...
  6. This isn't gonna work that way unfortunately.. It's for the GameEx integration specifically. I am curious to know what's causing your crash though... You can confirm your exe is in the right spot? I see a bug here for sure that I'll fix though. It's supposed to fix your /DATA/ directories automatically and I missed two fields. Can anyone else produce these errors? It runs for me like clockwork on two completely different machines.
  7. HUGE UPDATE! 2.1.2 is pretty much a completely new version with a ton of new features! So many I don't wanna type it all out again. Just do me a favor and check out what's new in the first post! Thanks going to Tempest for his outstanding work on Mame Mapping Magician, a program which undoubtedly inspired this project from front to back. Make sure you guys give him props for all his hard work around here.
  8. Well I'll be damned! Happy birthday to the best friend I never met! I hope your day is cooler than mine is... I gotta drive an hour to school each way in snow. Your next beer is on me. Just send me the bill.
  9. You can disable this in the emulator setup. Just set show most played to no.
  10. Yeah I need to go test that out one of these days!
  11. Hi Pintlov! In your settings.xml, Please change this: <STEAM> <profile_1>C:\Games\Xpadder\Emulator_pad1.xpadderprofile</profile_1> <profile_2>C:\Games\Xpadder\Emulator_pad2.xpadderprofile</profile_2> <profile_3>C:\Games\Xpadder\Emulator_pad3.xpadderprofile</profile_3> <enabled>yes</enabled> <last_updated>Friday, March 15, 2013 6:33:41 PM</last_updated></STEAM>To this: <Steam> <profile_1>C:\Games\Xpadder\Emulator_pad1.xpadderprofile</profile_1> <profile_2>C:\Games\Xpadder\Emulator_pad2.xpadderprofile</profile_2> <profile_3>C:\Games\Xpadder\Emulator_pad3.xpadderprofile</profile_3> <enabled>yes</enabled> <last_updated>Friday, March 15, 2013 6:33:41 PM</last_updated></Steam> You're not using the official release, where I made this change already and didn't notice you are still using the RC, so you will need to update before you run the plugin or GameEx again. Get the official 1.0.7 release here. That should do it.
  12. Can you please post your settings.XML in the Plugins>Xpadder>Config folder?
  13. @#1: I'll have to look into it. @2: that's a workaround for a strange bug that only occurs in rare occasions. As long as Xpadder and the game is launching without your intervention it is normal behavior.
  14. 1.0.7 is out! This version adds Steam support to the plugin. Unfortunately you can't specify controls for a specific game yet... I suppose I need to buy a Steam game to see what happens when you run one, but can't afford it right now. It'll get there.
  15. Updated to 1.1.6! (Plugin) Fixed a small Attract Mode bug concerning Last.FM album art(Plugin) Added new Attract Info Viewer popup(Plugin) Added new Control Panel Viewer... Press [sHIFT+SPACE] to view in game(Plugin) Added colorization options to each line in the theme's XML(Configuration) Removed Attract Mode Text setting(Configuration) Added Control Panel setup section(Configuration) Added option for Steam games(Overall) Lots of code cleanup and other optimizations
  16. I added the option to specify a specific color for each line on every display... A small touch but it pops a bit better now. All the Attract Info labels scroll now too. Here's what it looks like: More features coming! Stay tuned!
  17. Finished up the CP viewer. Tested and functional. Specify a default image and a game directory, press [sHIFT+SPACE] to show it during a game. Its nice to let GameExtender show the game art instead of the CP after so long...
  18. I'm not sure how I can specify which game is running based on the data GameEx sends me via plugin.
  19. Not right now, no but that should be easy enough. Before i do any more work on this, I want to add second monitor power to drop the DMD over a snap of your choosing first (like having the backglass art you specify/create for a bg). Then I'll see what I can do about that since it'll use the same code anyhow.
  20. So... I Scrapped the demo label. I think this looks nicer! You can customize the bg, it fades in and displays for 30 seconds, then fades out. Thanks to Tom, it will show each time the attract mode runs a new game. Working great for me so far but there's a bit more testing to be done (CP viewer and FAQ Viewer). Sorry to tease ya... Just really pleased how this came out.
  21. Wonder why not just get the window handle from the exe? It may be easier than trying to use the window title. Idk.
  22. No you're right. It can be any combination of the four keys I assign, but it has to be all four keys. That's why I made a button that is mapped to these four keys. The fact that the emu isn't exiting either denotes a problem also. Add another button to your cab? Or even just add another button to the sequence?
  23. I use global exit on my cab and it only exits with 1+2+3+4. Any other combo doesn't exit (ie 1+2+4, 2+4+3, 2+6+4, etc). Gotta be something wrong but I don't think its GameEx that's the problem. :'(
  24. That checkbox does exactly what it says... enables Xpadder for that profile. The bracketed text is removed by design. You'd be better off to change the emu name and make a "Dreamcast" group for them all... but who am I to judge. I'll look into fixing that by adding an "emu number" attribute.
  25. Hmm. That's odd... I use vp9 here and it works fine. I'll do some further testing.
