Have you tested this through MAME directly? Are you using the MAMEUI version or command-line? Have you setup your paths in MAME as well to reflect the change to the UNC paths? What OS are you using on your PC? Can you provide us with a copy of your batch file text? As I am not well-versed in the realm of controller mapping, I will defer this to one of the forum "pros" to answer.

Gotcha, that makes sense. I have GameEx set to run at my set resolution regardless of the theme res. From what tTom just posted, appears the GPU is the issue, not the driver. So in the right ballpark, just the wrong bullpen!

I run at a 1680x1050 resolution on my system currently and do not have this problem. What kind of video card are you using and do you have the latest video driver installed? If you have the latest, you might consider reinstalling it. Also curious about your arcade machine - why 4:3 when it is capable of 16:10 or 16:9?

To be honest, the only thing that I see that is half-assed is your expectation of what a front-end should do for you, and your lack of self-control. You have been asked to let us know what emulators you intend to run as this is helpful in helping you to get things up an running. As with any emulator front-end, it is not going to automatically set itself up for any and all programs & game pads that run through it - you are going to have to learn how to make modifications to make the software work for you. The purpose of this forum is to help you make the best of it when you get stuck. We cannot read your mind to know what emulators you intend to run or what game pads or other input devices you have for this.

I think it is safe to say you hit a home run with this update! I think it is also safe to say that I am trying to wrap my head around a few theme ideas utilizing the new view. Now if we could just get a cover flow enhancement to center the selection... In anticipation of this release, I have started work on a new icon pack which I hope will further enhance these latest features!

Also tried to view the video from the article and get a display prompt "This video contains content from UMG, who has blocked it in your country on copyright grounds." DENIED again! Look for Run on Second Monitor under Display Settings within the Setup Wizard.

Seems that this has come up before with Catalyst Control Center or similar programs. Will mark this one as resolved!

I run two monitors from a single card and GameEx fullscreen with no problem on one or the other.

My wife and daughter are out at one of the outlet malls - better them than me! I am all for Cyber Monday!

Assuming you are storing your manuals at D:\GameEx\DEMO\MAME\manual I do not see anything else that should prohibit you from viewing. I am curious as to why you have GameEx installed on your D: drive and not sure that directly this is an issue. I would check to make sure that you have full rights to the GameEx path on that drive as it may be trying to write the file and is being prohibited. I find that having GameEx installed to the root of my C: drive is preferable.

At the risk of seeming repetitive, would you mind providing a copy of your Gameex.ini and log.txt files again so that we have the most recent since the off-line install? Thanks!

Are you replicating these same results outside of GameEx?

You will need to download GameEx again and, while installing, make sure you select the manual viewer.

If you haven't signed up for it, I recommend it, even if for just a year (although Lifetime is a steal)! A great place to find all sorts of quality images and video for your systems!

First, we need a copy of your gameex.ini and a full copy (immediately post error) of your log file please. A little information regarding your hardware may also help. You may wish to reinstall the latest GPU drivers and possibly reinstall the latest version of DirectX available for your OS.

Very sleek! I like what I am seeing with this. I would recommend that you provide the full psd's for the background and foreground elements so that the end-user can add new pages with the overlays and other effects to match what you provide.

Those of us that get the chance to eat hearty and enjoy the companionship of family & friends are truly blessed. It is the time of year where we share from those blessings with others that may not be as fortunate and, perhaps, carry their spirits a little higher to make it into the new year. This has been a year of loss for me on a few levels, having lost a job of 5 years and with that, loss of some self-esteem and financial stability. I am thankful, however, that, while not making nearly what I was at my last job, I have found one that I enjoy more overall - I like the people I work with and feel a sense of accomplishment at the end of the day. I am thankful that I have a wonderful wife, family, and friends that have stood behind me as I struggled to get my feet under me and working again, the love and encouragement they have provided. Despite the losses, I have made more important gains thanks to their support. I am thankful for Tom & Ben as they continue to make GameEx one of the best front-ends around, and likewise to the friendships I have with Adultery, fRequEnCY (or however he spells it ) and many of you! I cannot conclude my post of thankfulness without a special thanks to the Almighty for looking over us all (and helping me to light a fire under Krakerman's arse to create his own theme which is progressing beyond my expectations )!

The setting you mention regarding scanning the ROMs is likely something unrelated. Anytime you update your ROMS, you should update your list.
