  1. Your setup will be similar to mine so far as the systems to be emulated (add Daphne, Future Pinball, the Game Boy/Virtual Boy and Game Gear handhelds). I have the X-Arcade Tankstick (Thanks, Santa!) and it has 2 joysticks,8 buttons per player, track ball (will add 2 spinners in the future), Player 1 & 2 Buttons, along with two "flipper" buttons on each side. A more detailed list can be found here under the GameEx Support section. This also covers default Keyboard, Media Center Remote, GamePad, and Hot Rod / X-Aracde / SlikStik / JPAC / IPAC configurations. Hope this is of help!
  2. The wife has agreed to a plan for my arcade/HTPC desires (money available, of course). Looking at the Xtension Arcade Pedestal at RecMasters for use with my X-Arcade Tankstick and a wall-mounted 1080P LCD in the 37" to 42" range. With a smaller form factor PC, the pedestal should be able to hold my original Xbox and 360, along with an Altec Lasing 2 speaker & subwoofer combo, misc. controllers, etc. I will likely need to mod the pedestal by installing some casters so it will be easily mobile when playing the arcade games (up close to a 37-42" screen just won't cut it).

Agreed. Although, I do miss "stealing" the balls from my coworker's mouse and listening to the yowling and gnashing of teeth that ensued...
  4. Since you are wanting to run WinUAE outside of Headkaze's WinUAE Loader, have you checked this thread?
  5. Happy New Year! 2012 will be another year of uncertainty and change - some good, some great, and some not so much. It is knowing that I have family & friends to share it with that make all of it worth while. I wish everyone a safe, fun, and prosperous 2012!
  6. Your log file looks fine - I don't see anything from a GameEx perspective (other than a possible transition between resolutions) that might be causing the flashing to occur when exiting Stella back to GameEx. DGringo was showing some errors in one of his log files that was DirectDraw/DirectX related. Can you post your gameEx.ini and Stella configs?
  7. I definitely like the later attempts better. Outlines are cleaner, more contrast between colors to make things pop. You are on a good path, my friend! If you keep this up, you are going to have to release your theme in multiple parts or packs just so the whole thing can be downloaded!
  8. Tom - will that disable all items in the Horizontal menus and how will that impact the new views you have created?
  9. And that theme you are using - that's hot!
  10. Nice - now how did you fix it?
  11. I am not aware of how you would do that, Dan. This would be a feature/enhancement request.
  12. Going to +1 on this as well. I have similarly requested an override via Theme Editor to specify the views to be used within a theme for each screen created. Likely this would come as part of the the requirements for Version 5 themes so as not to break existing themes.
  13. Please be patient! There may be some more pressing issues on Tom's plate at this time. Keep in mind - this is a hobby for him as well. He has as much right to enjoy holiday and time away from this as the rest of us if not more.
  14. ...and another tease for those running Supermodel.
  15. Have you been able to run it outside of GameEx?
  16. I would think that it might be misleading as not all PAL ROMS are necessarily from Europe.

    WHAT?!

That is what is known as a head crash (PC equivalent of a face palm).
  18. A little more info regarding your system might be helpful. Can you locate the gameex.ini and log.txt files and upload them here?

    SlikStik

Have you tried disassembling it to see if there is any dust or other crud blocking sensors? It is, after all, a super-sized upside down mouse.
  20. Thanks, Celly - that did the trick, along with selecting a few ROMS that were actually working despite the MAME audit. YAY!
  21. A little tease for Dan_Dan_91_07...
  22. That would be sweet, Dan! Zip 'em and ship 'em!
  23. My b-day is smack in the middle of the year, it was like getting Christmas all over again!
  24. I guess there is just no pleasing you, is there? No soup for you - 1 year! Next!
  25. OK, added a 4th selection just for you - every vote counts!
