Thanks for the feedback, bellgloom and welcome to the GameEx forums! 99% of the video snaps not playing errors reported are resolved by installing (or reinstalling) the proper codecs required for playback. GameEx supports flv, avi, and mp4 video snaps with no problems, but it is up to the user to install the codecs - they are not distributed by GameEx! Shark007 codecs are most frequently recommended due to their completeness, others, such as k-lite are also used with good results according to some of our members. Shark007 comes in two flavors - Vista Codec Pack (runs great on XP, Vista, and Windows 7 for 32-bit systems) and the 64-bit pack which requires the 32-bit Vista codec pack to be installed as well and is recommended for Vista/Windows 7 64-bit installs (although I am not sure about compatibility with XP 64-bit).

Good to have a VP guru in our midsts! Any tips on how best to migrate earlier tables to version 9 or is it pretty much up to the original author or someone with the experience to make the conversion?

My guess is the problem is within the table being loaded than the program. Can't you set the # of seconds in the load before/after in the advanced emulator settings? You may need to tinker a bit to get an "averaged" setting that works for all.

I'd recommend speaking with Adultery or some of the others that use Xpadder exclusively with 360 controllers. I do not use them myself (yet anyways) but I've not heard of anyone losing thumb stick functionality. Since I have a few extra original Xbox gmaepads, I have been using them on my system with USB adapters, running DSEO and a driver following the instructions I found here. While synching between the two machines is a great idea, you may need to make the controllers (and supporting software) an exception within your synch and set up each machine to its respective gamepads manually, or consider moving both machines to the same gamepad. Since they are different, a system-wide approach will only dumb-down the functionality of the controllers to their similar functioning parts (buttons).

I don't think you solved the problem - just found your own workaround. GameEx will work with avi, flv, and mp4 video formats. If you had a mix within the same folder, there should be no errors. Pojosama is correct in suggesting that you may have a problem with the codecs you have installed. I would follow his recommendation of installing the Shark007 Vista Codec Pack.

The on-screen keyboard placement is not user modifiable.

If I were a kraken, a really REALLY big one with freakishly long arms, then maybe, but that's just silly! I am not a really REALLY big kraken with freakishly long arms because a.) There is no such thing and b.) if there were, then there would be total destruction and desolation in my path and not quite the birthday wish I would want to send you anyway. I guess you will have to buy your own pint and pretend I bought it for you along with the birthday wishes that would normally precede and the merriment that normally follows. I was able to download it from his link in his last post. I have asked him to provide a copy of his GameEx config for FP so that others can see the setup and command lines to use.

Hey Rocky - I know you posted this about a month ago, but can you confirm that your AHK script resolves the issue and, if so, give us an example of what the GameEx config looks like to invoke the script and FP? Thanks!

Wasn't meant in the extreme sense of the meanings, as in "Pimp My Ride" type of chop & mod. But there may be some level, albeit minimal, of modding to hide wiring, power inverters, mounts, etc. I know that the industry has come a long way in offering solutions that hide much of the work.

A copy of the Emulator config from within GameEx might be of help.

I don't think you are going to get away from some chopping and modding of the interior of your car. You will need a small/slim form factor PC and a mount, power inverter to convert your car's power to AC current for the PC, plus the mods for the display.

Shudders! Anyone that throws more than 8 buttons per player (not including the player 1-2 or 3 or 4 and a few function buttons) needs to throw in their sit through 7 days of this no-stop.

On a 1920x1080 theme, I set my X-Y coords at X = 1716 (start or left-most edge of the image) and Y = 0 (top edge of the image) with an image size of 176 W by 64H. Not sure if that helps much. You may want to consider cropping the image you posted with minimal borders.

I don't think that you can get away (very often) from having to use a keyboard on most PC-type system games. As for using a CP, I think it is possible so long as you have a stick and enough buttons to map. I don't think I would care for a CP that looked like a bag of Skittles exploded with the number of buttons that might be required to replace a keyboard... oh.. the horror!

Adultery is correct, the menu "top bar is a fixed feature. I have assigned it different X-Y coordinates and it remains locked to the top. This would be a nice feature request for the Now Playing text - maybe have it occupy the RSS scroller location when music is being played?

Maybe if you put a book or some shims under the right side of your PC the balls will hang to the left....

I have utilized the same key for install on my laptop and desktop and as Adultery stated, it's Tom's call. He hasn't seemed to mind much in the past.

If it isn't too much to ask, can you provide .xcf and.psd files? That way, others can add their own backgrounds to adapt your fine work for use with their themes!
