  1. Bad info? Gads! Shark007 Codecs are pretty much the only way to go anymore. Not sure that anyone else has had an issue quite like yours.
  2. Still, if it looks like mold or fungus, could make it look like something from Halo (The Flood comes to mind). Just trying to help a brutha out!
  3. You're welcome! Marking this puppy as RESOLVED!
  4. What a way to go about modding a PC case! Seriously, I'd take advantage of those fire scars and create an awesome post-apocalyptic case mod. Then it wouldn't be an "old cruddy case" any longer but a work of art!
  5. Did you install the complete set of packs (assuming you are using Win 7 x74)?
  6. Open Setup Wizard and go to "Text/Language" or "Search" for "Custom Text" and you should find it at the Top of the Custom Text section.
  7. Welcome to the forums! One caveat that comes immediately to mind is with MAME where, even between "u" versions as of late there can be some big enough differences to make one's current set out-of-date and some games cease to show or function correctly. An auto-update for MAME and similar emulators would not be something I consider and could be disaster for someone with less experience to sort, IMHO.
  8. I had hoped it would stay put. For a period of about 3-4 months we were delighting in the empty nest. No kids, and 2 extra bedrooms to do with what we want. So we started painting, made one room into an office, and the other was about to become a guest/exercise room. Then my daughter and her boyfriend lost their jobs and, a few months later, my son and his girlfriend broke up and he moved back home. For over a year now we have been stacked like cord wood. Time to expand once again!
  9. I am back - well, sorta. Still setting things up and will be at least several days before I get all arranged as I prefer. I was originally setup between two PC carts and still am. Since I wanted one contiguous desk and keyboard surface and cannot afford to purchase a new mega-desk, I placed the carts side-by-side. I had purchased several finished 6' x 1' shelves from Lowes and some adhesive backed velcro strips. I placed the strips on the top surfaces of the desk, aligned the shelves on the top. I did the same between the keyboard trays - creating one 6' x 1' keyboard tray. This will give me some additional desktop surface, room to set down controllers, etc. So for a purchase price of about $60 I have a "new" desk! Now to purchase the 25' HDMI cable I found on Amazon for around $15.. YEAH, BABY!!!
  10. Shark007 Codecs would have been my first guess and advice based on what was described.
  11. All - I see quite a few issues that have been reported with GameEx, either as an issue as a result of GameEx updates, emulator setup questions, etc. with no indication from the user that the issue has been resolved or is still ongoing. In order to make things easier for the moderators and admins in performing daily housekeeping and focusing on urgent issues, please try to adhere to the following as much as is possible: Following these recommendations will help to ensure that reported issues do not get forgotten and can be addressed as promptly as possible., Thanks!
  12. Marking issue as resolved!
  13. Thanks for the share, Rockyrocket! I moved this to the Social Club forum as this does not directly impact GameEx functionality.
  14. My availability today will be spotty at best. With kids having moved back into the house over the last year, we had to move the desks and stuff into the master bedroom. Now that one of them has moved out, it is now time to reclaim some space and setup our home office/man corner once again. That means moving routers, modem, desks and PCs, etc. The end result is MORE SPACE and better organization. YAY! Another plus is that my daughter is letting me use her WS LCD so I will have the means to better test my HTPC themes in Hi-Def! BONUS!
  15. Happy Birthday, mariozeferino! Hope yours is a good one and celebrated well with family and friends!
  16. I would be interested in learning more about HyperList. Is the application HyperSpin-specific or can it be used with GameEx or other frontends?
  17. Yes they do. It may not be needed as it appears that the Disk Management utility handles quite a few of the same features as Partition Magic within Windows 7.
  18. I have a 1.5 TB partitioned with the first partition containing the majority of my ROMs, snaps, etc. That is in addition to a 300GB primary drive which houses the emulators themselves Not even close to filling the first partition yet. Of course, I am not running as many emulated systems as you are.
  19. If I understand what Nullpointer is suggesting, by using a symbolic link, you can keep them in separate directories (I believe that Windows 7 calls these "Libraries" but I may be wrong). Not sure how that all works.
  20. Yup, from within Theme Editor. Open your theme of choice; Click on Edit>Scroller. Then click on the screen you wish to change, paste the RSS feed URL into the box, then click OK. Now save the theme,
  21. Another option that is available for paid memberships is the FTP download. Since I use a "non-standard" setup for my ROMs and Snaps locations, I find this to be a better alternative for me. Occasionally have to use Skinny Match but small price to pay for the flexibility to download directly to where I need for these to go.
  22. Seems that this should be reported as its own issue for better visibility as I do not believe it was targeted by this version change.
  23. @ Han - The scan lines are optional and if the end user prefers, the PSD file can be used to create the foreground files they need without the scan line layer included. I have to agree with you about the hex pattern overlying the text in the footer and have modified it to remove this layer so that the text is not affected. Thanks for the feedback!
  24. I did find some information regarding a program called GlovePie - you may need to dig further and I cannot guarantee a solution to your issue but it is possible someone has scripted this type of control issue. There may even be some solutions through xpadder but again , I am not aware of any specifics.
  25. +1 on what Adultery said, all of it! Besides, evolution requires stress. Sometimes the stress is too much and a species fades into oblivion. Fortunately this front-end is not one of those!
