At the end of the day you are the one that has to be satisfied with the theme you use! I think it pops for me, but that is my opinion and you know what they say about opinions...

Likely there will be some additional configuration you will need to perform in GameEx. I am clearly not a pro at this but many are here in the forums. I have found in my limited experience that setting up a 3rd party application such as Xpadder or Pinnacle Game Profiler to be the best option for configuring any joypads (Xbox/360, Dualshock, Logitech, etc.) for which there is a wealth of information in these forums and experience to clarify and help you to troubleshoot..

Here is the latest in the Out of Memory errors generated:

Two things keep this one from being on par with the majority of what you have created to date . First, Wolverine is almost invisible behind the orange semi-transparency (since the flames and the semi-transparency are orange - which is a combination of red and yellow - Wolverine's outfit). Second, the Final Burn Alpha logo on the marquee is not recognizable as the Final Burn Alpha logo.

A lot has happened since a year ago plus! A little info about your system might be useful. Can you upload copies of your gameex.ini and log.txt files? Also, deleting your data files with cache in the file name and extension may help.

Can you provide a complete copy of the log file following the revert from Attract mode? The time stamp of the snippet is not in the log file supplied. Also, uninstall Instant sheller and let's see if there is any interruption of Attract Mode. You may also want to look for a similar time stamp in event viewer to see if there were any other application events noted.

Will be interesting to see how well it does with the GameEx touchscreen enhancements, since it is made to be used for tablets, desktop, laptop and allow for cross-synching with Windows Phone and Xbox Live.

The theme I am working on does not have Custom Layouts enabled so no files to delete as a result. I am running at 1920x1080 for the theme dimensions. Now generating a different "out of memory error." I have attached a copy of that error. I also checked the Event viewer and found no application errors generated. In reviewing your previous posts as well as a few others, it does not appear that this has been resolved, just a few workarounds that appeared to resolve the crashes.

I am working on a theme and whenever I attempt to open the theme in Theme Editor I receive the error in the image. I have also attached my thene.ini file for review. theme.ini

@Krake - a few questions: Are you still using Xpadder? Possible solutions to be found here and here. You indicated that you uninstalled Display Fusion which you felt was the culprit, but did not answer Adultery's question of whether or not you tried installing a blank profile in Xpadder, which leads to my next question - Did you reinstall Display Fusion?If so, try uninstalling and see if it is the problem, if not, then knowing how you have Xpadder setup to load and what it is loading might help the pros to help you better.

I think if you "google about" a bit you will probably find lots in the way of forums and photography resources. The fundamentals of photography are still the same as when the first Kodak took a picture, just the storage medium is different. If the ROMS have been modified for 2 players, then they are clones of the original. There is no getting around it that I am aware of, but we have some experienced folk that may be able to provide better input.

You can "reverse scroll" if you are all the way to the left and arrow key with the keyboard. Still very tedious when you have more than 5 or 6 menu items to pass through in addition to the By Year, Category, etc. would be nice to have greater control over that menu or have a mix of the big ribbon view with menu text but not sure how/if that is something that could be easily implemented. Main Menu commands should have their own structure separate from the submenu lists in this case IMO.

You may wish to go into your gameex\data path and delete all files with cache in the filename and extension.

I may just have to dust off the ol' WIP just for the heck of it. I had started collecitng various LCARS images for a 1920 x 1080 theme along with some .wav files for some of the effects.

Good catch, Flocke! @Rochabian - can you please manually edit your gameex.ini file and delete the line reading AmbienceFile=L:\-DATA-\-MP3-\4 Non Blondes\4 Non Blondes - What's Up.mp3 , save the file and restart GameEx and let us know the results?
