  1. I recommend uninstalling FFDSHOW and downloading the Shark007 codecs pack appropriate for your OS (If you are running WIN 7 x64, there are two you will need to download for both 64 and 32-bit flavors) for starters and see if this remedies your issue.
  2. Can't wait to see Gals Panic show up in someone's tag! I am so gonna give them a hard time!
  3. 3D Cabs allows for the displaying of the .x format animated, rotating cabinet files available for download on the main GameEx site. Image1 = Logo or ROM Images or Video Snaps Image2 = 3D Cabinet or small video snap or Marquee or... Select1 = Menu Option Name or ROM Name or Program Name Select2 = Details as available for Select1 Select Bar is animated by changing colors over the span of the 15 images or all the same if not. You will have to play with the Theme Editor to position the image and various text elements within your theme based upon X & Y coordinates and Height/Width settings. You have the ability to create custom backgrounds/foregrounds and layouts on a per emulator basis. Logo files (the ones previously mentioned in Image1) are display globally. Pop-up Descriptions can be turned off within a theme and in the Setup Wizard under "Display Settings."
  4. I think that there is some confusion about the 3D box art that was started when someone mentioned seeing something on Hyperspin. They have a thread where someone is taking png files and "animating" them in a 3D viewable swf (Flash) format. This should not be confused with the 3D cab .x files that are derived from converted Google Sketchup files. The cabinet files that are commonly found throughout the interwebs are just 2D images.
  5. There are no games built into GameEx. What you are referring to is a video and not an actual game. You may want to load up Setup Wizard and check your ROM paths within the MAME settings. It is sounding like you do not have your paths set to the actual ROM folder.
  6. Again, looking very nice indeed! I like the lettering in the header (Wish I knew how to do that!)!
  7. If they are original cabs, they can draw that much or more for collectors so really not all that surprising.
  8. I wonder what a cab would cost to ship to Florida? Probably cheaper to find one locally would be my guess.
  9. Gotcha - yeah they stay with whatever the Start menu has loaded. Would like to see sub menus from Start with their own backgrounds/foregrounds if enabled as well.
  10. Are you enabling the Custom Backgrounds within each emu via the Setup Wizard?
  11. hmmm... I have no freakin' clue.
  12. Major sweetness. I like the darker bricks in the background.
  13. You didn't indicate whether you are compiling 0.143 with or without U builds. If with U builds, you need to do all .diff files for u build 1 to the latest.
  14. You could create an image file and each emulator has options to enable for custom artwork paths. So long as the image is named the same as the ROM and is in that custom artwork path, you will be able to see it.
  15. +1 for OpenOffice! A Great, FREE alternative to the MS products.
  16. To be honest I do not think it supports it directly. You would likely need to use Xpadder or a similar program in order to configure mouse inputs to work with it based on the various forums I "Googled."
  17. Great, a racing game with a built-in rumble pack that won't get the stains out unless I complete the circuit in 01:30:59 or better.
  18. Thanks! Pink Floyd has always been my favorite classic rock bands and The Wall is my favorite album.
  19. Alpha - The files with the .x extension are the 3-D Cab images that have been converted from Google Sketch-up (see the collection I found by Gozer) and a few other sources. Duke - Upon reading the posts it appears that he is looking to make these animated via a .swf format (Adobe ShockWave). Basically animated Flash files.
  20. Since I am not Tom, I cannot say within the context of GameEx. I know that there have been many that like this idea since it was initially requested. IF it is doable, then I think it would make for a nice addition to the program functionality.
  21. Thanks! Welcome to... me!
  22. While working a new theme utilizing the foreground top-most settings, I have noticed that, no matter how far right on the X coordinate I place the start of the menu bar, it defaults to the same location. I know that the text options displayed is dynamic relative to where in GameEx you are (Start, vs MAME or Emu), but regardless, we should be able to place the bar where we need it and regardless of the length of the bar, the text options should scroll forwards and backwards within the length of the bar selected for one's theme. EDIT - Attempted to send screen capture but keep getting "Error No file was selected for upload" errors when using classic uploader and "upload failed" errors when using Flash uploader. This is occurring in both IE and Firefox
  23. The MAWS and GameEx Live list options under MAME already does this at least for MAME. Would be a nice feature to be enabled/disabled for each emulator// The caveat being if you do not have the ROM, the game will not appear in your "list" for such a feature. Now there's an idea - why doesn't someone put in a Feature Request under the pinned topic!
  24. I am marking this one as gloriously [RESOLVED]! 12.15 page justification on the two page view looks really nice!
