Here are some examples of an orb design I had been toying with that I noted previously, with various rings around them and standalone. As for the specific system logo I am looking for I will shoot you a list. A good quality Action Max, for example, is hard to find in larger formats. Channel F is another common system that the logo is hard to find in a large format that isn't extremely pixelated.

If your mobile device is connected to a static IP in your network via wifi, then it should not be an issue. Most newer routers will allow you to assign a static IP address within the range you setup for DHCP. This will be essential in order for you to ensure that the device is always the one to receive. A dynapic IP address can possibly change if another device is introduced and grabs the IP.

Personally, I would like to see the individual theme and logo threads moved to this forum or under a new Projects forum so that they are not vying directly with issues reported in the General forum. I will need to confer with Tom and the other admins/mods to see how they feel about it. If a green light is given to a new Projects forum, then that would be where I would like to warehouse promotion/discussion/documentation of 3rd party apps, etc. I would still like to continue deferring to the Theme Editor Questions thread under the Pinned and Hot Topics forum for any issues specific to that application. As I see it, some projects may end up in the Pinned and Hot Topics forum as warranted.

That would be cool. I have need to clean-up and consolidate my collection as I have accumulated quite a bit that is either obsolete or incorrect. I had begun series of logos very similar to the ones that you have put together a while back (about the time I released my "Enter the Dragon" theme, only using a circular frame. I might have to dust off the xcf and update it.

I am thinking about pinning a new thread or two for our forum SME's (Subject Matter Experts) to announce software that does not directly support GameEx proper, but adds to the functionality or appearance. A recent example would be the Boot Updater software that Celly announced. Others might be in the form of a post within the thread of a documented software and process. I envision eventually formalizing some of these into .pdfs that could be hosted on the main site in the FAQ section. Let me know what you think or if you would like to volunteer to assist and compile. Before posting anything to the FAQ, all documentation will be reviewed for completeness, grammar, and community tested to ensure the best experience possible.

If you don't mind me asking, where are you obtaining some of your logo images (i.e., Action Max, Taito Type X and Type X2)?

Be sure to save a copy of your template in .xcf and .psd formats and include with your logo package. This makes it easier for those who want to create additional system or other logos. Looking great!

Depends on where you are wanting to send it. I think that you could probably program it to update a page on a website or something similar. 127.0.0.1 allows you to use it on a second monitor connected to your desktop.

I use a gaming mouse of all things.. it has low res dpi settings that I enable for editing graphics.

I understand and it will depend on the theme.. The present one I am working on is an HTPC - Simple theme with minimal foreground and background elements and menus, lists, snaps, and vids will be free-floating.

Yeah, I know... want to edit all 20 gazillion images for me? LOL! Not a problem for me one way or the other really.

I have some images of the X-arcade Tankstick that I will be glad to share after I do a little cleanup.

I kinda like the effect. I find that it adds a little extra dimension to the display (i.e. drop shadow). Any chance that it can be set to enable/disable so those of us that like it can enable it via Theme Editor or display settings via Setup Wizard?

Assuming you are using XP, look under C:\Program Files\ for another GameEx directory (if Vista or Win 7 64-bit, may be under C:\Program Files (x86)\ ).

Good point! It's all about taking that risk that whatever you create will blow chunks and garner some useful feedback. If we didn't we'd all still be drawing kindergarten stick people instead of aspiring to paint the next Mona Lisa.

I got lysdexic and did 150 png files after converting a gif animation. It will only use the first 105 anyway so nothing tragic.

For starters, I would recommend installing the Shark007 codec pack (get the 64 bit extensions if your version of Win 7 is 64-bit). I would think, however, if GameEx was encountering a conflict that it would show in the log you provided, yet it does not.

OK, must be that "turning 50" thing as I don't see how to create a new animation with this program. I can load existing, however, that is about it. I checked his site and it is a bit lacking in details. So how do you do it?
