  1. Cool! I like the home page esp the helix design element. Remember the conversation we had a while ago about assigning certain systems or sections of GameEx with color coded backgrounds or other elements? Looks like Metro may just do that after a fashion.
  2. Lookign good - what is the dark grey rectangle for below the video snap?
  3. A few questions for you" 1.) Any reason why you would have some of your paths going to C:\Documents and Settings\Jacques\Desktop\ ? Not sure if this is necessarily related, but could eb a cause for some issues as this path is a protected path for the specific Windows logon. 2.) Go to the \gameex\data folder and delete all files with cache in the file name. 3.) Do you have touchscreen support enabled and, if yes, are you using a touchscreen? If touchscreen support is enabled but you have no touchscreen installed, disable it and see if the issue is resolved.
  4. Look under c:\gameex\config
  5. So far as I am aware theme.ini should not have an impact such as wheat he is experiencing. It would be good tp know how and where GameEx is installed on his machine and there are no rights restrictions interfering with updates to the gameex.ini.
  6. Here is the YouTube link to the in action.
  7. It may be beneficial for you to submit a copy of your GameEx.ini and log.txt file during this load time so we can see what is happening and perhaps better advise you.
  8. You survived another year! Congrats and wishing you many more!
  9. LOL! That's quite OK.. I once spent hours trying to figure out why my sound card would not work (checked for interrupt conflicts, etc.) and it was only when I opened my PC and started to remove the sound card that I discovered the speaker cable dropped from the jack in the rear. Apparently one of our cats had caught it and dislodged it partially. Will mark this one as resolved!
  10. These sound like a variation of previous requests to refining Favorites at the emulator level. Would you mind posting a detailed description (much as you have in your last post) under the Features & Enhancements thread which is setup for tracking these types of items?
  11. What is the recommended Exit key for BSNES? In most Game Pad setups that I have seen, there is not a Button0. Have you reviewed the key mapping section in the BSNES tutorial to see if you can map it within there? You may have to perform a Ctrl+0 or some other combination to associate with the keys in your gamepad.
  12. You didn't indicate if the issue also occurs outside of GameEx.
  13. An awesome asset to the emu community! Hopefully his retirement will not be a permanent one, but , if so, thanks just the same for the incredible work!
  14. Looking great!
  15. Have you tried Daemon Tools Lite? I do not have any games setup to run images, but know others that have with very good results. Another one to try might be WinCDEmu which is free and open source and integrates well with Windows Explorer and is supposed to be compatible with Win 7. Just from a quick "google" it appears that many outside of GameEx report issues with both VCD and MagicDisk.
  16. Major sweetness! So when might we get this to play around with? I like the static lists with the ballooning text for the selection. Still giving any thought to doing something similar with the logo strip (having the selection at the center of the screen and the logo or video grow relative to the logos/vids before and after?
  17. ...and a few more...
  18. Actually the effect could be applied to both list and menu items. So instead of a moving highlight, it would remain static and the list items could just rotate through it. So really talking about both.
  19. Tom - I know from my own experience that some of the HTPC behaviors utilize the Coverflow approach on smaller menus or a vertical list with a static highlight bar. In either menu, the highlight bar is static (for my redneck friend, this means it says put, not radio noise like on your CB Radio) and the menu items move through the highlight bar. This makes for a very clean appearance and would add incredibly to our skinning options.
  20. Just calling it as I see it. Been there myself and have the nappy t-shirt to prove it. It wasn't until I started sticking my neck out that decent folk noticed. There is something to be said for not giving a frak what the world thinks. Girls like confidence.
  21. Anytime! Will mark this issue as resolved!
  22. Good luck!
  23. Myg - if you are wanting to change the title, then why did you ask how to change the font color? I don't think that anything was lost in translation! You will have to modify it in the Text/Languages section of the Setup Wizard or manually modify the language .ini file for the language you are using and locate Start=Start.. and change it to read Start=Choose System. It is in the GameEx\languages folder.
  24. Just a few more samples to keep the saliva flowing...
  25. Open your theme in Theme Editor, click on Edit, then Options, then click the Fonts tab. There you can change your Main Font and Title Font name, size, and style. You can also select your Text Color and Outline Color. As it stands now, whatever color you select will be for both Main and Title. They are not independently selectible, although numerous requests have been made to have this changed as part of a new Feature or Enhancement.
