Below is a list of sites offering free and discounted games. Some you will have to dig for via searches. I have found that being a member of the platforms I get email notifications of specials. Leveraging “wish lists” whenever offered also helps when special pricing goes into effect or a game that is in development is initially released. Almost all offer AAA releases. This list is not 100% so please reply with links to any sites not listed here and I will update this post. Good Old Games aka GoG.com – Per the site “We make games last forever. A home for building and playing your curated game collection, GOG is a digital distribution platform that puts gamers first and respects their need to own games.” Many older classic titles and new indy fare. Regular discount and free offers. Steam – Per the site “Steam is the ultimate destination for playing, discussing, and creating games.” Free and discounted game specials all the time. Epic Games – Seasonal and monthly free and deeply discounted game specials. Amazon Gaming – Requires an Amazon Prime account. Redemption is via Epic Games, GoG.com, Steam, and Amazon Gaming platforms. Humble Bundle – Per the site “Humble Bundle sells games, ebooks, software, and other digital content. Our mission is to support charity while providing awesome content to customers at great prices. We launched in 2010 with a single two-week Humble Indie Bundle, but we have humbly grown into a store full of games and bundles, a gaming membership service, a game publisher, and more.” Constant rotation of games, book & comic bundles with charity in mind. Fanatical – Per the site “We're on a mission to help gamers from all over the world find amazing games at amazing prices. Fanatical lets you quickly find what you want from a selection of over 10,000 officially licensed digital games from over 1,100+ publishers.” Constant rotation of games & comic bundles. Similar to Humble Bundle in that you can choose your price for a set number of titles. Redemption of keys via Steam.

Moved topic to correct subforum.

Agreed. 23H2 dust hadn't settled and 24H2 was rushed and the Windows 11 community is paying for it in spades. Not just here but across various other forums for software and devices. Thanks. I seem to recall that mentioned in another thread now that you mention it. I think keeping current and staying the present course is best, assuming your patience can handle the anticipation.

Nothing else to do until Tom takes a look and responds with request for further action. Since the issue you are presenting is not being reported by others, it may take longer to find an answer. Also, keep in mind the holidays may limit availability as most of us here are here in our time outside of "real life" responsibilities.

Jamie's tutorials are pretty slick and thorough.

[HANDHELD] Asus ROG Ally Extreme with 4TB M.2 2280 SSD Mod
Draco1962 replied to Draco1962's topic in Gamer Rigs
MORE MODS! I sprung for the replacement ABXY buttons for $27.60 via Sakura Retro Modding. The OEM buttons work just fine, but they are harder to see through the smoked acrylic. I also, ordered a pair of TIGHTER Hall Joysticks from Handheld DIY which seems to have good reviews overall. Black Friday pricing at $4.79 off the normal $31.99 for the pair makes it even more bearable. I opted for the tighter sicks over the standard as they have more resistance due to the addition of springs. Hall effect joysticks are generally considered to be an improvement over analog joysticks, with several advantages, including: Durability Hall effect joysticks are more durable than traditional joysticks because they use contactless technology, so the sensor doesn't wear out from vibrations or repetitive movements. Accuracy Hall effect joysticks always return to their original position when released, making them ideal for applications that require accuracy, like gaming or industrial control. Customization Hall effect joysticks can be customized for specific applications with pre-programmable analog outputs and a variety of handle designs and models. Safety Hall effect joysticks are suitable for safety-focused applications because of their redundant output option. Here are some other differences between Hall effect joysticks and analog joysticks: Operating principle Hall effect joysticks use contactless technology, while analog joysticks rely on electronic circuits. Wear Hall effect joysticks don't suffer from wear and tear like analog joysticks do. Third-party manufacturers Third-party manufacturers like 8BitDo, GameSir, and Turtle Beach are increasingly using Hall effect joysticks The kit includes shield tape to minimize interference with the trigger buttons (which are Hall Effect buttons, BTW). Read more about Hall Effect and the new TMR here: https://gamerant.com/tmr-vs-hall-effect-joysticks-explained/ I will review both the buttons and the sticks once I get them installed. -
I know that the Education and Enterprise editions will differ in that some features are disabled or not included by default vs. Home and Pro editions. But getting a clear and concise list of those differences can be a pain. Hopefully Tom will have some advice.

Thanks for reuploading the files. You may be right about the .exe file in your original upload throwing the false-positive. I am unable to view the dump file due to no Visual Studio sub. I extracted and attached for Tom's review the text and XML views of the Event Viewer (AppLog.evtx) file. I noticed that you are running Microsoft Windows 11 Education 64-bit version vs. Home or Pro as is reported in the log.txt file. Not sure if any differences exist that could contribute towards app crashes, but that would be a question the dev/programmer aka Tom may be able to answer. Windowa Event Logs - GameEx Crash.txt

I think whatever image you are attempting to upload to the forums is being blocked due to virus detection as noted in your more recent crash thread, yet manifests when I quote your post in the thread - scary weird. So please describe what you are doing/attempting to do as I only see the user profile and no actions.

Going forward, please attach the gameex.ini and log.txt and any other files separately. Additionally, I am not able to open the .zip file as it appears to contain a virus (per Windows Security) which means you may have other issues resulting in the crash:

Can you give more detail as to what you are trying to do within the forum and what background you are attempting to edit? Generally speaking, the end-users do not have any editing capabilities within the forum proper. If you are referring to your user information page, you have to click on the "picture" icon (red underlined) for the picture you wish to upload (left is for profile image, right is for profile cover page). Example below from my phone browser:

Spinball "Tarcisio Style" GameEx Logo files
Draco1962 replied to Draco1962's topic in GameEx Media Projects
Some more Spinball goodies for PC - look in the GameEx FTP within /-GameEx-/Draco1962_Projects/Tarc-Style_Logos/Spinball/PC for complete pack. -
Are you having issues with GameEx or GameEx Arcade Edition? If the GeForce GTX 1650 doesn't support ATSC, how can we help you fix that? Short answer is that we cannot. You will need to address you performance issues either via Citron forums or with the GPU manufacturer or upgrade to a newer GPU that supports ASTC. Sorry.

I just started watching Game Changers on Max. The series covers the history of thf video game industry with interviews of many of the developers from the beginning of it all. So far it is into the 4th episode of Season 1 and is as informative as it is entertaining.

If it is still only this one table, it may still be a media issue. How long is the loading video?
