Why would GameExtender Viewer launch if disabled on the gameex.ini?

Nice looking setup! What kind of displays do you have? AM I correct that you are not looking at a full gut and just replacing the PC components (CPU, GPU, RAM, and storage)? My most recent build was by CyberPowerPC but I added to it with additional drives and accessories. See here: The motherboard, CPU, and GPU are all solid. I suggest at least an 1TB M.2 or SSD for OS and apps (PinballX, Steam, VPX) Leverage a 2TB SSD or greater or use your SATA drive. This would be for FX and FX3, VPX, and PinballX tables and media.

Overall a great buy, considering that you are getting a great history of the brand that started it all in addition to many influential games, and even some prototypes that did not make it to production. So long as you remember to select Gamepad mode via Armoury Crate it plays out of the box with Xbox controller compatibility. Are rhe videos being used all the same pixel size and/or aspect ratio as the field they are expected to fill?

Hey there - @Tom Speirs may need to see a copy of your theme in order to adequately attempt to replicate this issue. Will have to wait to see what he says as he may know what is going on. I haven't a clue.

Has this issue been resolved? If not, please uprgrade to v6.20 and attach copies of your pinballx.ini and log.txt files. Thanks!

Sorry about that - I totally scrolled past your response hence mine to wait to hear whether or not it was needed! 🤦‍♂️ Instructions - Start with GameExtender disablement. Report back with updated gameex.ini and log.txt files if issue appears resolved or not. Disable GameExtender via Setup Wizard - Select No Next, disable Plugins via Setup Wizard - Untick the selection box next to the plugin(s) to be disabled: Report back with updated gameex.ini and log.txt files if issue resolves. You can also reenable one plugin at a time to see if the issue returns to a specific plugin or combination of plugins.

There shouldn't be a need to disable Gameextender and plugins at this time. I have flagged this thread to @Tom Speirsattention as this may be related to some recent changes made with the latest releases.

Probably a Feature Request but would a user-enabled feature via Setup Wizard to add a menu item linked to dynamically created XML file of the 10 Most Played tables. Or is this something that could be done via plugin?

Does GameEx and AE display videos for categories within the MAME submenus level or main menu?

If you are talking about background videos for the MAME categories to display at the main menu, then no. If that is a correct assumption and what you would like to see, submit an Enhancement request!

For what it's worth I was not able to replicate the issue with MAME in my setup with vanilla MAME 0258 on Win 11 Pro with Nvidia 3060 TI.
