  1. I need to do the same for my wife's Windows 10 based HP laptop that is endlessly stuck trying to update. Have been holding off until I have time to download all of the proprietary software and driver packs.
  2. sudo apt-get Linux distro anyone? I have considered going to Linux many times before, but so many things work-related and that I like run on Windows. Not to mention the learning curve of navigating and updating a new OS and apps to cover my very basic needs for Office apps. There are free MS Office alternatives (no subscriptions or purchase required) such as Apache OpenOffice or LibreOffice - forks of the OpenOffice project. I have several pieces of older kit that won't make the transition to W11 due to the draconian install requirements but will probably work just fine with most of the recent Linux distros available. Now which distro do I choose? 😕
  3. You will have to add the line within your gameex.ini as noted in the table within the thread linked below:
  4. Let's attach a copy of your gameex.ini and log.txt files for review. If you go to the Gameex download, click See changelog and click the radio button next to the version you want to download.
  5. Still likely a Windows device issue as GameEx relies upon Windows to report what is connected to it for gamepad support.
  6. Can I downgrade to Vista please? Windows 11 Recall is a privacy nightmare
  7. What mapping is available for GameEx is in the Setup Wizard within the Input Settings section. This is typically global for GameEx with some overlap for emulators. As it is with most frontends, additional mappings - keeping in mind what is setup in the frontend - is handled within the emulator. More recent systems work out better for most systems as they have mappings for newer controller standards. RetroArch maps well to the XBox 360 controller as an example.
  8. I am not aware of any software for saving button mappings. You may need to see if there is a config file saved somewhere that you can backup. Not aware of any issues with Aimtrak lightguns and sensors with GameEx. Typically issues with peripherals lie with the systems emulated.
  9. Please post in English and within the correct subforum. You may wis to use Google translate. Thank you. __________________ Si prega di postare in inglese e nel sottoforum corretto. Potresti voler utilizzare Google Translate. Grazie.
  10. Translated: I would like to know the MINIMUM requirements for a PC to run these pinball tables smoothly Let me start by saying I don't have many availability thanks to those who answer me
  11. Are you running LAV codecs? Assuming you did not notice the latency issue prior to installing the lightgun, have you tried disconnecting your lightgun to rule out that change as a possible cause? An observation of something that could cause adverse functionality and latency: MAME and assets installed in C:\Users\vzboo\Documents\ - typically best to avoid installations under areas that Windows considers as "protected" or requiring higher elevation. Think about installing MAME and assets paths under the root of c:\. Additionally, I am not seeing the latency you are reporting in your log.txt file: 20:51:21.07 5/20/2024: Opening Configuration File 20:52:11.78 5/20/2024: Bye Difference of roughly 51 seconds - pretty decent times. Please attach an updated log.txt file (NO copy and paste please!) from right after starting and lagging as you originally reported. Thanks!
  12. I moved your thread to the correct subforum. In addition to posting within the correct subforum, attaching copies of your gameex.ini and log.txt files goes a long way in allowing us to begin to review the reported issue. This is a first report of such performance. Please be sure to attach the requested files right after the error occurs.
  13. Definitely out of the scope of the app and GameEx select bar. You could submit a feature request and, if it is possible and Tom sees merrit in the request, it might get implemented.
  14. What ping-pong feature are you referring to? For mine, I used Scutters' app exclusively. I would definitely read through his referenced thread if you do choose to use it. Lots of tips and tricks noted to using it in different ways.
  15. Did you see the Spinball app reference from this thread?
  16. They are currently only supported in place of the logo files within the theme\media\logos and there is no way to direct GameEx to point to a separate folder (path) to find them.
  17. Easy miss. He talks a little faster and softer (to me at least) when making note of the brand. I had to replay a few times.
  18. GRS spinners and trackball with the Tankstick Max (about 2:48): The tables should help in your case!
  19. If I were to guess, probably TurboTwist 2's or at least that was what they had been selling for a while.
  20. I would recommend uninstalling the Shark007 and K-Lite codecs entirely and installing the latest version of GameEx again but using LAV codecs instead to see if that remedies your issues.
  21. Glad you got it sorted! Yeah, LAV has been a requirement for some time now, having replaced Shark007 and others. I turn 62 next month, and noticed that I "hide my own Easter eggs" more often than I did 10-20 years ago. We'll muddle through it together, right?
  22. Do you know what kind of spinners they are using? The table I adapted and created here may be of help in setting them up:
  23. Can you please attach copies of your gameex.ini and log.txt files from right after the error occurs? You may also need to make sure that your are not running GameEx, MAME, and any other emulators as Administrator as this can cause some odd behaviors during write back processes. Thanks!
  24. It may be a full screen setting in the emulator itself. Not sure if there is a command line switch for that so you may have to "google" that setting. Under Windows-Only switiches you will find reference to -v # (with # corresponding to type of window or fullscreen with desired resolution). depending upon what you want to display. Not sure how it all works so you will have to experiment. Add it to the end of the command line noted previously. Example (for 1024x768 DS FULL): zsnesw.exe -v 20 "[ROMPATH]\[ROMFILE]" https://zsnes-docs.sourceforge.net/html/advanced.htm#command_line
