  1. I really didn't like this game, so I'm not going to play it again anytime soon. Especially if it's to post a better high score. I just wasn't that good, and I didn't enjoy it. Nice score though be77amy! Updated OP, DB, RSS
  2. Nice one rtkiii! He's taken the lead! Updated OP, DB, RSS
  3. There have been many controller mods out there that do this. Each MAME game has an embedded layout already configured. You just need a driver to read that info and output it to your controller. I think it's called controls.ini though I might be mistaken.
  4. I just want the finished product. I don't have the time or skill to build a cabinet and control console like that. I love the lights, and the fact that everything is all integrated on 1 board. It makes me drool. God I wish I had more money.
  5. That's why he makes the big bucks.
  6. Seconded.. If only for just having a launch before feature to show images. One thing I miss having is all my customized controller images I created that show what the mapping is for a given emulator. With GameBase, there's nothing that shows up to say what my controls are for that system. Granted, I only have like 4 GameBases in my system, but it would be nice to know that I had mapped 3 buttons on Atari 800 for Start, Select, and Option without mashing all the keys on my keyboard trying to figure out what I had mapped it to.
  7. Can you see the "loading..." blurbs at the bottom of the screen? Maybe it's getting hung up loading a database or something somewhere. I'll tell you, I have like 75 systems on my machine, and it takes about 2 minutes to load up.. so if you have a lot of stuff, that could be a part of it. If you don't, looking at the logs and the screen while it's "loading..." can go a long way to figuring out what part of the load up is taking so long.
  8. If you're going to be messing with GameBase's GEMUS, I -HIGHLY- recommend making a backup copy of them first. I really screwed mine up trying to figure out the Atari 800 GameBase and ended up having to start all over from scratch with a fresh install and everything. Do yourself a favor and make a copy!
  9. Yeah, just uninstall and reinstall it. I noticed this happened to me when I bought a dedicated drive for emulation and moved everything over there. GameEx started blabbing about updates everytime I started it up. Hopefully this solves your problem.
  10. The only way you can do this is by configuring Steem outside of GameEx and GameBase. Just like any other emulator. All GameEx does is poll information from GameBase. GameBase, in turn, only holds details about how to run a specific game and where it's located. If Steem is the program the game wants to load, then Steem is launched and then the game. To configure the inputs though, you want to click the joystick icon in the top right corner of the Steem program.

    Anime

Nice link Draco. Hopefully it will have the answers I seek.. A quick read of the first couple paragraphs is giving my high hopes. Thanks!
  13. Good job! Just came on to see whats up and here you've posted another new score, and it's a huge one compared to your previous! Updated OP, DB, RSS
  14. ... hate you LOL! Not bad, I definitely need to get back in there and try this game again.
  15. How does it compare to my eVGA NVidia GeForce GTS250? (LINK) That's what I have right now.

    Anime

Yeah, I got my introduction to Cowboy Bebop via Cartoon Network. Same with the Big-O. Aeon Flux was on MTV (I think) and I watched it's original airing. I own the DVD but haven't re-watched it yet. I have Guyver on my "to borrow" list from the library, been waiting for it. I've heard of Ah My Goddess but haven't seen it yet. My intro to the romance type stuff was with Tenchi Muyo. Inuyasha is another romance type show that was on Cartoon Network for a long time, though I never really watched a lot of it. Same with Sailor Moon. Dragon Ball/Z/GT is a big favorite of mine. I have all of the seasons of Dragon Ball and Z on DVD thought I've never even taken them out of plastic wrap to watch, been just watching them here and there on TV (though they only have KAI on now, which is heavily lacking on the drama, and is just an action cut of Z. So yeah, it looks like nobody really has any answers to my original question then.. what's the difference between Gundam, Macross, and Robotech. Oh well. Nice to get a good Anime thread going though, definitely helps to spread the word and get some suggestions.
  17. Yeah I don't know HOW these guys are able to get such high scores. Ya'll sure you're not cheating? Least we're having fun, that's the important part.
  18. Awesome, first place! Ewww, Oh, spoke to soon! Heheh, good scores guys, keep it up! We love competition! Updated OP, DB, RSS
  19. Maybe it was a clone? A lot of games are clones, imitations, etc. Nice score too. Updated OP, DB, RSS
  20. I know right? I think the difficulty is that it's side scrolling, and you have to watch out for walls. Vertical shooters don't really have walls, and they seem easier to me, I dunno. Good score though! Updated OP, DB, RSS
