Adding proper backglass image for FX3 table in PinballX
Mike_da_Spike replied to testfly's topic in General
Yes please. Make a short video, because not sure what you mean -
Small bug fix release for 2 issues that we introduced in the last release (he we are human too ) Due to a lack of testing by @scuttersbefore we released the previous version, Scutters discovered that when you have a strange password with some strange characters that the username could not be retrieved Thanks to @scutters, it was identified and fixed Due to a lack of testing by @Mike_da_Spike before we released the previous version, Mike discovered that when you upload an Instruction card to FTP, that the Email address was added instead of the GameEx username. Thanks to @Mike_da_Spike, it was identified and fixed Another strange issue we discovered (and was not either of our fault), is that MEGA URL's didn't work anymore. Although the URL's was still fine, it could set the application in 'Not responding' and give a timeout after a while This behaviour was happening on 2 out of 4 machines we tested. We changed some code, and now it was working on all the 4 machines we have. As usual, a big thanks to Scutters for this release I really appreciate your help with Databasemanager

Adding proper backglass image for FX3 table in PinballX
Mike_da_Spike replied to testfly's topic in General
Let me know if you need more help. It's not a video, or about backglass, but a post how to add new FX3 tables to Database manager So that will guide you to add I see on the FTP that there are a lot of backglass images What you can do, Is go to settings, select tab GameEx Online Setup your GamnEx account, so the program can download from FTP If you Select "Backglass Images" and close the dialog (for Bulk import, I should also recommend to change the setting "Show dialog 'Convert image file'" in the general tab You can setup your own setting by choosing between 'Keep image' or 'Convert to video' Using the button, it will download from FTP the tables all the media that can be matched (I see 75 out of 100 matching tables) -
Adding proper backglass image for FX3 table in PinballX
Mike_da_Spike replied to testfly's topic in General
Not sure how you add it, but I recommend to use Pinballx Databasemanager . You see an overview of all your media and you can easyly drag and drop, use GameEx ftp or even Mega link as source. If you got the original Steam version of FX3, it will even check table names and can auto add it. An Audit option is available to check for your complete PinballX system if media is available, or if you have media that is not used by PinballX. There is a complete thread in the 'user projects' section and a manual that explains almost all settingsand buttons. Hope this helps you -
I'm mostly into pinball, but because I saw Tom's News bulletin '[NEWS] X Arcade GameEx Arcade build'. I wanted to give my arcade cabinet a try again. Just wanted to download GameEx Arcade, but the download section contains 2 files. 1 with an exe of 9 sept and the other from the 5th of July Should 1 be deleted ?
-
You need enough buttons in your cab to seperate both buttons. Thats sometimes an issue
-
Yes, you can set that. Not sure what the question is, but launch settings.exe from your pinballx installation folder Go to the joysticks mappings Set the 'select/start' for menu entries and 'launch ' for direct table launch

This is an emergency release for fixing FTP upload. As mentioned in the following news bulletin, the access to the GameEx FTP must be done with your email address instead of your GameEx username (everybody knows, because we all read it ... ) As Databasemanager used the login name to upload files to FTP with your username, the upload wasn't available. Thanks to @Tom Speirs who created quickly an API for us, we now have the FTP upload back. Just fill in your emailaddress and password in the settings and click on 'Check FTP' When your username is returned correctly (and check the 'Enable FTP Upload' setting), you are able to upload your media to FTP and share it with the rest of the community With this release, we added 2 extra small features that I really like. Thanks @scuttersfor taking care of this ! Action Log expendable Just double click in the action log area will show an extra window with all the log entries File name with correct naming extension will extract manufacturer and year if no IPDB entry is found Most of the Pinball table creators, uses a naming convention with '<Table name> (<Manufacturer> <yyyy>)' where yyyy is year released. If Databasemanager cannot find an (fuzzy) hit on the file name against the IPDB/Dux Retro spreadsheet, we normally leave the fields 'Manufacturer' and 'Year' blank. In this release we automaticly add this. See this example (I used Scutters Pinemhi plugin for the weekly challenges and need a table setup): In my folder where my VPX table exists, I created a 'Table' "Weekly Challenge(DNA Disturber 2021).VPX" (this is just a dummy file) Within DatabaseManager, I click on 'Add Table' button, that will show by default all my tables that are not added yet : I select the table I want to add and click the 'Select' button The manufacturer and year field are now added automatically Just 2 small things, but makes it so easy. Again, thanks @scuttersfor helping on this release Check also this thread for the PinemHi table launcher plugin:

Not sure if it is because of the theme or an update in the browser. When an update is received, the message box is there, but the links to click on it, are almost off screen. On mobile devices (my phone and tablet), it is showed still correctly
-
No problem. We are trying to make everybody happy. Hope you enjoy it

Not sure what you did in your folder, but PinballX is not launching at all . Also you have a old version (00:42:16.01 9/7/2021: PinballX - Version 4.13). Download latest version of PinballX, install it in the same folder, rerun pinballx.exe and post your log again
-
Are you saying that pinballx.exe is removed from your pinballx installation folder ? If so, try to install the latest version of pinballx. If it is still gone, check your antivirus software.

[RESOLVED] FTP not authentication correct?

Thanks @scuttersfor checking ! I thought it was just me -
I see the FTP server is up and running, but logging in to it (with user ID or email address give me a 530 (userID and PW incorrect) I'm 100% sure that this userID and PW are correct (as I use the same credentials for logging into this site) Is this caused by the theme changed this week , or something else going on with my account ?

Just wanted to say thanks to the GameEX team that upgraded the forum with the 'rain for IPB' theme I already like it. Maybe because orange is the national color of the Netherlands Good job guys !

Maybe it is not a correct answer you looking for, but if you become a paid member, you will not only support the costs of the hardware, software, dns entry etc, but also can download unlimited from ftp and website.

[PINCAB] My Virtual Pinball Cabinet build
Mike_da_Spike replied to Mike_da_Spike's topic in Gamer Rigs
Just a small update for my goDMD clock. I ordered from goDMD the original plexi case and the electronics. From Ali I bought the display panels. Its a bit larger than my older clock Updated the firmware with an SMT32link (as the firmware doesn't support colored animations correctly) I now ca show the temperature and humanity as well and colored animations. I'm creating my own colored scenes from colorized roms. It is very time consuming, but I like the result. Here's an example (just the first one that shown on my clock) These are the pinball tables I already captured Austin Powers Creatures from the black lagoon Circus Voltaire Bram Stokers Dracula Fish Tales Gilligan's Island Guns and Roses ACDC Attack From Mars Apollo13 Checkpoint Congo Demolition Man Adventures of Rocky and Bullwinkle and Friends Tales of the Arabian Nights The Simpsons Pinball Party The Adams Family Jurassic Park South park Theatre of Magic Monster Bash It's 1000+ scenes right now I created, but still on going to create them If someone wants to have the scene's as well, just drop a PM to me My first clock is for sale as well. It is not cheap, but send me a PM if you want it. This clock will be shipped with 2 different boards (both with a valid goDMD license) The boards have a different firmware, as the old firmware doesn't support the colored roms and the new one doesn't show the old animations correctly -
Small bugfix update for MEGA downloads (what was really annoying). Issue : When using MEGA links for getting media (see below thread for some useful MEGA links), it happen to me that when I used MEGA links, and after a couple of minutes I used it again, the program gives a crash message. When switching from media type that was not used yet, and trying to use the MEGA it could give the following message in the action log (and you need to retry it) With this version of Database manager, we tried to avoid the issues. The code is updated with the latest MEGA API version (1.9.0 see NuGet Gallery | MegaApiClient 1.9.0 ) But this didn't fixed our issue. So with a lot of effort from @scutters and myself, we finally made it work. So if you are using MEGA links within Databasemanager , you definitely wants to update to this version Of course a big thanks to @scutters for all his effort, ideas and mental support for this program If you want to know more about MEGA links check the below thread and also check our manual section "MEGA Folders tab" (is there a manual, yes there is ! There is a shortcut in your Windows start menu in the folder 'PinballX Database Manager' and the PDF is in your install directory )

I think he mouse hiden is not added in the latest version, but was there fo a while. But why you need a mouse in the front end ? The frontend is for your pinball experience and you dont want mouse pointers etc as well Close pinballx if you want to do maintenance on your cabinet. Or use rdp or other program to remote into your cabinet. Another suggestion will be to add a feature request. But I nevere use a mouse when the frontend is loaded
