  1. 7.11 working well for me.... minimal or no black screen loading or exiting tables... only minor criticism is playfield video hangs for 2-3 seconds when the "logged in" text pops up.
  2. Figured it all out...........for some reason videos did not record correctly unless it was a table using external dmd dll when I was using nvidia hardware capture......tried troubleshooting, eventually deleted the default source folder where nvidia stores the capture before it migrates to pinballx media folder.......no clue why but that was the fix. All working well with 7.10, newer version of ffmpeg.exe and latest nvidia drivers.
  3. Making some progress......looks like ffmpeg.exe is the culprit. I had an old version around 50mb...that one basically gave me the errors of not recording in the log....used a version thats around 97mb and that one lets me record again but having some consistency issues, trying a new version. I am using gpu capture...the actual source captures look great but when they get moved into the the pinballx media folders the video are small file size mp4's that result in just a still video....dmd and backglass videos are fine though. There is also a nvidia driver update today....will reluctantly install that later in hopes everything is working.
  4. Thanks I agree it’s just my setup on my cabinet ,I had success creating videos on my desktop computer. I will test later today after work and follow up .
  5. I am having issues recording new videos on 7.10 and latest nvidia drivers.... for years I would just use the create videos option in game manager and it would record all 3 screens perfectly, I would use the use gpu option in settings. I do remember years ago I had to change some small settings in the nvida app for things to work correctly but as of now not having any luck. The nvida notification of recording started and recording saved does show up, but most of the time there is no video in the nvdia gallary, but occasionally there is one. Kinda stumped right now. Seeing all kinda errors in the log when trying to capture videos..... log.txt PinballX.ini
  6. I do have some of the black screen for 2-3 seconds when table loads on many tables....what I have is more of a vpx/pinmame issue I think. Started a few months ago when I updated to one of the vpx betas or a dreaded update to windows......hard to explain but I thought it was more of a "focus" issue where the backglass loads, then the playfield screen disappears for a second to a black screen, then comes back.... seems to happen less If have regualar pinmame dmd off any screen or disabled in table script . But again this happens as well running vpx as standalone so might be something different from what Mike is experiencing..... either way tables load and exit the quickest and smoothest for me in a year or so and I am pretty picky when it comes to quick loading and exits.
  7. Perfect!!!! 7.10, latest nvidia drivers, 200+ tables, dmd and blackglass on a 3 screen set up all recorded in 4k at least 60 fps and a high bitrate, smooth and speedy....and exiting tables seems a tad quicker as well. Thanks so much, I get better customer service/communication and no ads on this free site compared to rest of the pay for everything world we live in.........Donate - Spesoft Forums is the best 40 dollars I have spent in years!
  8. with 7.02 and latest nvidia drivers my videos do work but massive slowdown, most if not all my videos are 4k and 60 fps.... trying to figure out if I should experiment with 2k videos or will pinballx eventually go back to video playback that uses hardware excelleration, I don't mind waiting a few weeks or months but if theres no plans for it I will just make new videos.
  9. Thanks for the info @Tom Speirs...do you think eventually hardware accelerated video playback will be implemented?, or should I spend time capturing videos in lower quality?
  10. went back to 6.99 on my cabinet with newest nvdia drivers...speedy again but of course no videos,, rolled back nvidia driver from a few months ago and all is well. Tested 7.02 with newest nvdia drivers on my main pc setup,, I only have 10 or so tables installed and only 1 has a video....when I scroll between tables with no video everything is fast, when I get to the one table with a video everything goes slow until the video I navagate to a table with no video. So it looks likes vidoes/video player cause slow down pinballx greatly on 7.02, I had a feeling this would be tricky, thanks to Tom in advance, I know eventually he will get it right and I encourage people to contribute to him for this free software! I might try to see if newer videos created with version 7.02 do not cause slowdown when I get some time.
  11. Not good.....installed 7.02, installed 595.79 nvidia drivers released on March 10th..... videos do play but everything is super slow, slow transitioning between tables, wheel images super slow, updated LAV codecs just in case.....still slow. Quicky opened a backup pinballx from like 2 years ago installed in a seperate folder, that one was correct speed. Files attatched. Likely will go back to 7.0 and report back...Thanks log.txt PinballX.ini
  12. So does 7.02 use this newer code or is that to come?......I'm still using 7.0 and older NVidia drivers, don't want to commit to new video drivers and newest pinballx unless videos play nicely.
  13. I tested 7.0 on my desktop, and it does play videos. My settings are all out of wack but I did make one new video capture on one table. Quality seemed good, 4k at 60 fps, but first test went ok for videos working with most recent nvidia drivers.
  14. unfortunately, both of my setups don't have on board graphics so this is not an option for me, sticking with older nvidia drivers for now.
