  1. As I mentioned, this wasn't caused by PinballX (As I thought in the first place). Again ,sorry @Tom Speirs that I thought it has to do with your code. It took me a couple of weeks (limited time as well), to investigate this one. Noticed that when I enabled the DOF plugin from @swisslizard that the stream deck getting slow. I grabbed the latest code from github (from MJR), but the plugin is there as well. I was confused by the log file of the plugin, that even a single button press of the flipper results in multiple entries in the log file, but that's normal behavior. When I made a test program , that only initiated the dof.dll , I didn't had any issue, but when I load the config for the table "PinballX" , I had the same strange behavior. I noticed that this was caused by the initialization of my Teensy board (to control my LEDS). The same happen when I launch an VPX table with the teensy enabled as well. I tested it to changed the COM port of the Teensy to other ports, but same result After a long search, I tried to put my Stream deck not attached to an USB hub, but a direct USB port on the main board I have USB hubs, because a lot of devices requires an USB port : 2 external USB ports for Keyboard and any other device (Kinect that is not internally attached) 1 USB port for teensy board 1 USB port External 7.1 sound card (SSF) 1 USB port for my LEd-Wiz 1 USB for my PinDMDv3 1 USB for mouse 1 USB port for Stream Deck The PC only got 6 USB ports ..... Just an update for anyone who will face the same issue as I had
  2. I'm still a bit confused (sorry, thats my fault) You want the videos with an underlay to be displayed from the front end during fx3. Fx2 is working fine, but fx3 is only showing the dmd with a black border, right ? But the videos you created for fx2 all contains a border, but the fx3 videos not containing a border. If you replace the fx3 videos with a border, will they show correctly? Is that your issue, or am I still not on the right track (sorry for the questions, just want to help) Edit: just thinking , are you using pupplayer to add the underlay video for your dmd ?
  3. I think I understand (sorry, I am Dutch.) But in your photos, the fx2 are all videos with a frame (underlay), in a resolution that fits to your dmd scree (4:3 ?). Looking your fx3 folder, I only see bethesda_skyrim and the 3 Aliens tables with a frame. Rest of the videos shows like a 4:1 resolution (so no frame) Is skyrim (and aliens) looking fine and the others with a black frame ? (And curious, are those the DMD videos I created ?)
  4. I don't understand exactly what you pmean with Dmd underlay videos. And what media did you change from documents to c: drive ? Maybe post your log file and your ini file to see how your fx3 is setup
  5. If you install 4.65, can you confirm it is still working ? At the download page, you can select all previous versions
  6. Lol. To be honest, I'm not sure how Tom starts pbx (maybe via a service). I don't see anything in run key or startup folder
  7. Did you run the togglestartwithwindows.exe ? This will turn of or on the auto start pinballx after windows starts. Otherwise place pinballx.exe shortcut in your startup folder
  8. What update of W10 did you install ? 21h1 ? Or the may monthly security update for 20h2 ? Or another update ? edit : I updated my cab with "May 11, 2021—KB5003173" (I have W10 20h2) and PBC is working fine. After reboot PBX will still launch and attract mode is also working for me
  9. No, pinballX is your frontend. Try to get it started from the command line. If you.got tables started from vommand line, you adopt it to pinballx
  10. Yes. Logs and pinballx.ini would be helpfull
  11. Within settings.exe you can remove the reset system from the exit screen Put enable restarr to No will hide it in the menu
  12. OMG ! I will test further, but thought the issue was with PinballX, but I disabled all my plugins and now the device is working .... So hold off @Tom Speirsto check code. Need to check which plugin this is causing it EDIT : Ok, an apology from my site to @Tom Speirs is needed. The strange behavior is caused by "DirecectOutput Pinball X" plugin. Disabling this plugin, makes the device working as it should be (but now I don't have the nice flashes/lights and effects) Sorry Tom to put extra work to you. Never realized it could be a plugin ....
  13. I did some extra testing, but looks like it is the Stream deck device that is conflicting with PinballX (on software level). I lowered the Joy settings and that causes that Joy stick 2 buttons are seen as Joystick 1 within PinballX. Same behavior when pressing 1 on Joystick 2, it will take a long press or even lock it (I think the same issue as mentioned Controller issue (one press causes multiple presses) - General - Spesoft Forums (gameex.com)) Checking the Joy input, it is not receiving any input on Joy1, but all on joy2. But I see on Joy2 that keys pressing are getting slow or even stuck On the stream desk I also mapped an button to the "P" key (just a send key) to pause a game Outside PinballX , the button works as expected, but launching PinballX, the key press sometimes holds the key for multiple seconds (or even get it pressed, until I close PinballX and than it works like a charm The Stream Deck is a HID -compliant device. It uses software to translate the input keys to mapped actions. My assumption is that PinbalLX program conflicts with the software of the stream deck. Is PinballX doing some extra checks on keyboard input, or tries to overrule input (or something ?) The stream desk device is a really need device and bought it specially for the cabinet to extend my missing buttons (with no need off having a keyboard attached to the system)
  14. If you have a 3rd screen (not real dmd), I thought you can move the dmd within Pinball Wicked to that screen. To be honest, I didnt check for a long time to Wicked. Maybe I should update my cab as well
  15. I think he wants "pinball HD collection" (program that can be bought on Steam) to be setup on his cabinet. I don't have it. Although I read it has cabinet support, i will stivk to my emulators. I bought Tpa, fx3, zaccaria, pinball wicked and another from steam and I never play them. Maybe when Zen comes with a new one this year (fx4 ?) I will buy it, but not sure
  16. You probably didn't setup the ini file correctly
  17. Isnt all media on the FTP ? Should ne available via gamemanager/database manager
  18. This is the log from the moment I took the video if I lower the numbers, the keys will respond to the device that is joy1 as well. For example, my left flipper is joy1 button 1. If I set joy2 button 1 for another action and I press that key, the left flipper is also triggerd Thats why I used the numbers above the 18 (that is not conflicting with my virtuapin controller) This is also only in PBX, not outside PBX. Because the joy buttons are slow and set to left flipper, the wheel is pretty fast at that moment log.txt
  19. I have issues with my 2nd joystick (virtual one), but assigned to my Stream Deck. The virtual Joystick works fine. I've setup joybuttons that are higher nubers than my virtuapin controller (18 and higher), because PinballX mixed these up (see my other post) If I set for example button 21, 22,23 and 24, it works fine inside windows. Pressing a button, will show a single click in the Joy interface as well. Also the actions I assigned are working fine. When launching PinballX, the vJoystick behavior will become "unpredicted" Switching from PinballX to the windows joy console, I see that some presses are not registered, and other presses (just small clicks), keeps the button pressed too long To show the behavior, I made a small video from my cab (and resized the screen, to see the buttons and numbering) I hope that this can be fixed, because there will open a new world for me if this is working fine (also when launching a VPX table from PBX, still the same behavior occurs, and launching VPX outside PBX, will let the Vjoy do the work correctly) 2021-05-07 07-08-17.mp4
  20. It's not an ideal solution, but a workable workaround. I should prefer to put your playfield in landscape mode (and if you have an extra pc, use rdp/teamviewer or any other tool to connect to it) Scutters and I will internally test this as well and if it doesn't break anything for the 'normal' users, this will be added in a future release.
  21. I run out of buttons on my pinball cab, so I'm playing arround with an Elgata Stream Deck I don't want a key board attached and this device can do a lot of stuff. For adding extra joystick keys, I installed vJoy and assign it to the Stream deck as a button Within Windows, the vJoy is identified and working (see that keypress 4 is working) Setting up in Settings.exe for example a Pause/Ingame to that button, it shows as Joystick2_Button4 : When gogin to the next page (and go back to the previous, it is saved as Joystick1_button4 (but my page/nudge is already assigned to it) Also in the Ini file, the Joycodes is the same numver for pageright and ingame [JoyCodes] quit=6 left=0 right=1 select=5 rotate= pageleft=2 pageright=3 exitemulator=6 ingame=3 instructions=15 launch=4 Credit= Plunger=0 Launching PinballX, it shows that it found 2 joysticks. Is this something I do wrong, or is this a limitation in PinballX ? PinballX.ini log.txt
  22. I don't have daphne with games on my arcade machine, so not able to reproduce it. sorry. Maybe someone else has it and can help you
