  1. I'm not sure why your Future Pinball filter isn't working properly. If your system's Future Pinball can launch the table, the filter should be able to do it as well. Looking at both your screenshots (and your Horror.ini), I notice that in the first screenshot you selected for all systems. but in your second screenshot, the checkbox is unchecked: In your horror.ini, it only shows the filter "Visual Pinball X" with the company set to *Original*, and the comment for the Horror filter is missing. This is just to display the tables in the frontend, not when launching. but you are getting on the correct track ! Please note that DBM cannot display all tables for a multi-system platform. It will only filter the tables of the selected system.
  2. To display tables from Future Pinball and VPX, you can establish a filter, a process I will guide you through incrementally in Option 1.
  3. This log was submitted when pinballx launches, but crashed? It doesn't show any relevant info.
  4. Log fule shows pretty empty to me.no start of a table
  5. Looks like your parameter line is incorrect. Try this : /open "[TABLEPATH]\[TABLEFILE]" /play /exit /arcaderender /STAYINRAM
  6. Although I'm not @scutters, i think I can answer that question. A while back, some dude from the Netherlands wanted to use two plugin instances, so he could have scrolling info on his backglass and show the ticker on his playfield. Even though it was years ago, that quirky Dutch guy is still using both instances. Edit: found an old post: https://forums.gameex.com/forums/topic/23213-plugin-pinballx-statistics-display/page/4/#findComment-210819
  7. Could you please let me know which version of BAM you are currently using? I've noticed several recent updates from TerryRed. I haven't yet configured FP on my new computer, but if I find some available time this weekend, I intend to install the latest version. However, I must admit that my weekend schedule is quite packed. Additionally, I'm curious if the command you provided is functioning correctly and if it is indeed presenting you with the table? "P:\Sistemas_Pinball\FuturePinball\BAM\FPLoader.exe" /open "P:\Sistemas_Pinball\FuturePinball\Tables\007 Casino Royale (Original) (1.1).fpt" /play /exit /arcaderender
  8. Version 26.05.08.0 is just released! It has been a bit quiet on the Database Manager side lately, but we haven’t been sitting still. This update is a small maintenance release with a handful of bug fixes to keep things running smoothly. Behind the scenes, @scuttersand I are actively working on several new features that will take DBM a step further. There’s quite a bit happening under the hood, and we’re aiming for a fun and refreshing update towards the end of the summer. So stay tuned! A huge thank you to @scutters, my partner‑in‑code, bug‑whisperer, and the steady hand that keeps DBM from drifting into chaos. Without him, this release would probably be a mysterious collection of half‑finished ideas held together with duct tape and optimism.
  9. I upgraded to 7.21 and tried the three different settings: 'Mediafoundation Yes/No' and 'sample grabber'. Now everything works fine, even after a reboot. I was able to reproduce the issue after rebooting earlier this week, but not anymore. I’d say we can close the issue for now. Edit : Could it be related to the fact that a second version 7.21 was uploaded last week?
  10. No, i went to 7.14 (as I needed to record some backglasses) and that one worked fine
  11. Since this is a pretty old topic, I’m not exactly sure what you’re looking for, but here are two parts that could meet your needs.: 1) Create a horror filter: Add text HORROR in the comment field. click save table check 'advanced search' check box In the newly open window, make a new filter by clicking the + button name it for example HORROR in the comment field of the advanced search, also type HORROR (this is actually the filter) click Save. when clicking search, it wil show all tables with comment is horror now 'tag' all your horror tables Within PinballX you can select the list, and see it is showing the filter with 2 tables of my test 2) if you want a horror system (so it could have it own Playfiel/backglass/topper etc, you must create a new SYSTEM called Horror from the settings.exe: Do for example, I create withing settings a VPX Horor where the tables resistse in the same folder as my normal VPX tables : You can copy or move the entries to the new system (NOTE, it's database entries, not the VPX tables itself !): now, you will have a system called horror : I'll hope this will make sense
  12. I'm not sure if that's the same. I'll see when VPX starts that the PBX backglass is showing up after a few seconds. It's correct according to the settings, but it's doing it for the first time in eight years I've been using PBX. @Tom Speirssomething to say about this ?
  13. Since updating to PinballX 7.21 I noticed a change in how the backglass behaves when launching a VPX table. Previously, when I disabled the “Hide Backglass” option in PinballX, I would get a smooth transition from my PinballX backglass video to the B2S backglass when the table started. I know this is technically an unintended use of the feature, but I think many users rely on this behavior because it creates a very clean visual handover. With 7.21, the behavior has changed. What happens now is: PinballX shows the backglass video as usual When launching the table, the B2S backglass appears briefly But then PinballX “hijacks” the backglass again and continues showing the video on top of the B2S window I understand that PinballX is supposed to keep control of the backglass window, but the previous behavior allowed for a much nicer transition. It seems that the old option no longer works the same way. Is this an intentional change in 7.21, or could this be a regression? Thanks in advance for looking into it. log.txt PinballX.ini
  14. DBM is completely different as the front end. We 'just' use WMP, but it's not comparable with PBX.
  15. It must be that I'm missing something. If you have your screen set up to 1600x450, but you want it to display 1000x450, why not set it up as 1000x450? Or do you want to create a feature request so media can be set to stretch, keep aspect ratio, etc.? @Tom Speirsis this something for a feature request, or should thw media size be set correctly by the end user
  16. But why not let pinballx have it segmented ? Give the bg the size and location and do the same for topper
  17. Thanks for the suggestion, it’s definitely an interesting idea, and I can see why having VR capability visible per table would be convenient. From my point of view, though, this might be a bit too specific for just one system. PinballX is designed to stay quite system‑agnostic, and I’m not sure how Tom feels about adding a dedicated VR attribute on the database level. Personally, I think the existing fields already offer enough flexibility to achieve something similar. For example, fields like Description or even Rating can be used to tag VR‑supported tables and filter them in a way that works for your own setup. So this is just my opinion, of course, but I believe the current metadata options already provide a workable solution without needing a new VR‑specific attribute.
  18. Rather than splitting your screen into two sections, it is necessary to create a topper that matches your display's aspect ratio, and the same principle applies to the backglass. For instance, if you design a backglass with a 4:3 aspect ratio and a topper with a 4:1 aspect ratio, and your video or image content adheres to these dimensions, it will be displayed accurately.
  19. Nice one, Tom! I do have one question though: Would it also be possible to add an alternate command‑line parameter? For VR I use a different VPX setup than for my cabinet. At the moment I created a second system entry in PinballX that points to the same table files, but launches VPX with a different INI file through the command line as well. Having an additional “alternate parameter line” alongside the alternate EXE would make this workflow much cleaner and more flexible. And great thought to also make the alternate parameter available in the TEXT section of settings.exe. If I have a free moment, I will add it to the manual and will send it to you
  20. Sorry to hear of your loss. Not sure if you had any backups or documentation. This is what i should do : Install on your (new?) PC your operating system and try to unbloat it ! Create a snapshot or disk backup after that I like to have all in 1 folder, So I could disabled the virus scanner on that folder. let's say for example c:\Pinball Within Windows defender (or your favourite virus scanner, if there is any favourite ...:( ) disable that folder from scanning ! Install PinballX in that folder without the demo files Install VPX 10.8.0 public version Update Vpinmame 32 and 64 bit with the latest version (and use the SC version. thats Sammy Colour) run also the instals from bothe the programs install latest version of direct B2s server and start with a global settings file that can be stored in the B2s folder install FlexDMD 1.9.1 This will be the basic of your VPX test everything and configure is. Steam : I installed steam in my pinball folder as well, but could be in program files as well (easier for me in the pinball directory for backup) install your Pinball apps, like FX3, Fx, TPA, Zaccaria, Malzbie's, etc. Add 1 by 1 the system to your PinballX you can use the examples with Joyriders his launch scripts in the tutorial section (thing we have most covered) I hope this will help you to get on track buddy
  21. Updated to version 2.1 : This release focuses on stability, cleaner initialization, improved DMD handling, and several bug fixes that enhance overall plugin reliability. Improvements Updated plugin version to 2.1 Moved DebugMode initialization earlier in the configuration loading process for more predictable behavior Refactored FlexDMD DLL loading Removed the DMDDEVICE_CONFIG environment variable when a custom dmddevice.ini path is used Ensures cleaner and more consistent DLL resolution Renamed the wrapper to FlexEngine (previously “wrapper”) to reflect its actual role Bug Fixes Fixed an issue where the carousel kept running when Pinemhi data was empty Added path tracking to ensure correct file resolution Fixed idle state behavior (timer now stops correctly when no work is pending) Removed leftover debug output Fixed a 5‑second pause when a badge was not found Many thanks to @pcraenme for testing this version and providing valuable feedback and bug reports that helped improve this release.
  22. Don't blame the foreign guy 🤠! Just kidding. Plugins can screw up a load of thing. Especially of they use external dll's and touches rendering api's..I think it's (somewhere) in the manual, and @Tom Speirsmention it also a lot of time, disable all the plugins and try to reproduce the issue. If the issue is still left, blame the English guy 😎.
  23. The ini file contains a numeric display that begins its count from zero. The interface, however, utilizes numbers that commence from one, which is consistent with what is presented in the Windows display properties. This is to avoid confusion. Or is it more confusing now? 🤔 Not sure what my plugin has to do with it. It is not using any backglass setting, but uses flexdmd with dmdext, where the flexdmd is searched in the registry and using that.
  24. The code's on GitHub, and flexdmd's a separate class, so go for it. 🤪 Just kidding. But if I read it correctly, you want something that could make a DMD-like output to an APNG or MP4. That sounds more like a feature for the following app: https://forums.gameex.com/forums/topic/22280-app-creating-real-dmd-topper-videos-from-wheel-image/#comment-186904 This tool will create an MP4 (default) with a DMD overlay. It first converts the input to a DMD format, adds a DMD overlay, and then creates a sharp MP4 of it. I'm not sure what you're looking for, but I think this tool is more what you want. Or am I wrong?
