  1. Well, Of course....
  2. ok, Tried showing everything, including non working and get the same missing roms. Oh well... EDIT: There is certainly something odd... Bringing up just Vector games - they only show latest revisions, but not the earlier clones? (Check Gravitar - it shows the main rom, but none of the other versions?)
  3. Well, I could try it. There are quite a few missing in the split roms in 147 as when using the merged set, the number of entries is higher - though, I have no idea what else is missing of course. I only mention it, as I have never seen this problem before. I wonder if something has changed in 147 (re: Parsing)
  4. Ok, thought I would continue with this. Spoke to Tom who advised me (sorry Tom!) to delete the gamelist.txt file. Doing so reinstated the update list option. Hurrah. Ok, so, after doing another update on my merged 0.147 set, all almost came up roses. Tempest has appeared this time, but... no clones? (Tempest Tubes for example). These are visible and working in MameUI (147) fine, and yet don't appear in GameEx. Remember me mentioning that when using split sets, Tempest did not even appear? Well, there is an issue somewhere because again, this rom is affected. BTW, the romset is verified 100% by clrmamepro. I attach the ini file (as I should have originally) along with the gamelist file (which strangely contains Pong?) Also, there are two images. The first is to show that clones are listed for other games, and the second to illustrate the limited showing for Tempest. Any help would be wonderful. Logs.zip
  5. Sadly, I tried that to no avail. Bloody strange... I will check it out when I get home from work
  6. Ok, somehow I have caused a slight mishap with my mame config. Let me explain. I had a perfect split 147 set but discovered that gameEx missed several games when using it (tempest being one I noticed). Personally, I prefer a merged set anyway. So, Using clrmamepro I created a merged set in mame/merged and pointed gameEx to the roms therein. Great, every rom was now visible and all was yummy and super fluffsome. Then, I removed the original split roms from the rom directory and moved the merged set there. Launched gameEx and did another rom update. But... I forgot to change the rom path back in the mame settings. So, I got no roms. Here is where I have a problem. After changing the path to point back to /roms, I can no longer update the rom list? In fact, entering into the mame page in gameEx only shows 3 entries, All mame games, Another list (forgotten - think it was last played?) Adult games. That's it? No option to update and entering any list just returns back to this. I scanned the jumbled and confused ini looking for a way to update the list again and found nothing. The options relevant are all set to true? I cannot post the ini as I ran out of time this morning and am typing this from work - I know that I should know better lol, but thought it still worthy of a post because I am sure it is something obvious and perhaps just me not being able to see the wood for the trees. Any help would be great, even sarcastic ones.
  7. Ok, I have been a bit idle in the replying to this topic, sorry. The database is in a period of hiatus at the moment, and has been for a considerable period. This is not solely my fault, nor laziness on my behalf. He whole project needs an overhaul to be able to continue and a huge amount of time spent on it to update and expand the database. The original system of automatic entry is no longer possible without extra work to the editor, and without that, the entry of data is a far more involved process. I would be happy to see the project reinstated as I also felt this was one of the great aspects of the FE. so, if the possibility does arise, then I would endeavour to be of any assistance I can. (More so if the editor was mac compatible. Lol)
  8. It has to be Jungool really...... (More so when version 1.2 is released shortly)

  13. Hey, happy birthday mate....
  14. Sadly, I have been locked in a dingy (cove) cellar for far too long... At the hands of a ruthless and relentless master... (Headly Kazer I believe his name is?) All he gave me was an iMac, a copy of 'learn C++ in 1 hour", and 400 cans or Red Bull... The fiend!!! ps. Subforums are great, and free booze!!! This place rocks!!!
  15. See, now look what you have done Tom.....
  16. I wish I had pictures....
  17. I can almost picture you doing somersaults LOL!
  18. LOL! I have an iPhone/iPod/iPad joint project to finish around Christmas (Fingers crossed) and then I do intend on updating my GameEx installation and getting some work done on the DB's. Sadly, there is not enough time in a working day to do all. I wish there was. Any votes for the first section (system) to tackle... Sorry for all the Delays - I never intended to take so damn long away from it, but sometimes - needs must....
  19. Krakerman, Just to let you know I uploaded some more images to the gallery that you may like? Latest Images HERE
  20. Without being able to go back and check. (I do not have a set up at the moment) all relevant files had to follow the same convention and use the shortened names the the launcher does. I just looked at the video files I did to match the launcher and they all used the same short names.
  21. Thanks for the update.
  22. Sorry for my lack of input there... It was a long time ago that I was setting up Scumm and to be perfectly honest, you perhaps worked out how to add the updates quicker than I would. Glad you go it all worked out and sorry for leaving you to it.
