  1. Well... That is one vote... (Bloody Tempest LOL) Come on guys... Help us out here.. It is not about the cash prize, but more about recognition for the first DS game written in assembler... We need them votes...
  2. The entries are present in the database, but.. there are no dats associated with the names as yet.. These will come soon... (I may add a few today) but I have no idea when the next DB upload will be.
  3. It should accept? Can you try flash at greatflash.co.uk?
  4. Tom, I am really impressed by your talents So, when are you joining us in a game project LOL
  5. There is no way to run remotejoy other than via a usb connection. RJ is a WONDERFULL piece of software but i can see no way it would ever work wirelessly. Perhaps one day PSP emulation will become something worth using? Who knows.....
  6. Perhaps it is better this way... LOL
  7. All uk cabinets tend to use barrel locks with the key number 92250. These are a generic lock and in the uk can be bought from most locksmiths. (we call them 250's). Though I have no idea what Dream Authentics use, i suspect it will be the same. Don't know why i pipped in on this one? LOL, but for anyone make/using a cab, these are perhaps the cheapest and most common locks.
  8. Love it... I had never thought about this as an option before, great idea!! I use a seperate (command line) setup for my 5 year old son. It works but can be a bit of a pain when you change things. This is a much better solution and also has the benefit of him seeing his face in the login screen, kids love that This could also be handy for setting up alternate setups for different mame versions etc. Cant wait to have a play when I get home from work!
  9. It is worse on Vista. It is a known audio issue... SSF had the same problems on the earlier releases and NullDC still does unless you modify the audio yourself
  10. The MESS driver appears to be pretty much abandoned at the moment.. Updates to it were a long while ago - sadly. The best hope though is the mess driver, and hopefully the development of that will continue soon. FreeDO sadly is a very old emulator that has recieved no updates for a very long time (2 1/2 years). Again, sadly, the core emulation is fairly sound but is missing several aspects of the 3DO hardware, so emulation is not as good as it could be. Also, the 3d emulation leaves a lot to be desired, and this is a shame. At the moment, 3DO emulation is a bit of a lost cause. Though I personally am optomistic that this will change.. There are 2 systems with perfect rom/cd dumps and FAR from perfect emulation, the Jaguar and 3DO... and these upsettingly are 2 of the systems that I really want to play... God, give me Road Rash 3D0,
  11. Oh god! I will finish it one day mate LOL
  12. The db's started way back in june 2008 and there were several people on the team then working on lots of different systems.... and no-one submitted anything. I continued for 5 months doing them and there is a suprising amount of data in there, but FAR from complete. Perhaps the amount of work put everyone else off? Though, I am sure there must be someone who would love to help out As I say, fret not, i did not burn out, nor am i abandoning them, the db's will continue as soon as time permits.
  13. Ps... BK, moby is lucky to help you with much more that 20% of the matches and most of them lack descriptions... So, C64 is a nightmare...
  14. Ok, Firstly, I am really sorry that the work on the databases has stopped for a bit. Have got involved in a few other projects and struggle to find time to do as much as I would like (Including finishing my theme from way back). All I can say is that everything I start does and will get finished - When is the sticking point. One of the bigger projects that myself and HK have been working on is coming to a close soon and then i will spend some time catching up on the DB's. I know that no-one has said "what the hell happened to the DB's", but I do honestly feel guilty that I have left it so long to do any updates and am glad that no-one has be giving me daggers for that Sadly, there is only me! and as both BK and Temp have said, there is one HELL of a lot of data to do... Also IMBerzerk has noted that just getting the C64 in order is a major undertaking and not overly rewarding.. These things will get finished and there is a major addition that has also been mooted that may well improve the entire system. The N64 database is complete, so, not sure what the problem was mentioned earlier. Also, this post is just to confirm that I am still around and still keeping an eye on ya all!! LOL I promise to head back to the DB's as soon as I can allocate the horrendous amount of time they require..
  15. That is why I love this Forum... Number 1 LOL
  16. Look mate, you tried your best... That's the main thing...
  17. So.... You found a small child clutching a box within a box? Is this like them russian dolls you can get? Remember, you may have to feed the child also! LOL
  18. Is not TweakUAC a simpler option? or am i missing something here? TweakUAC
  19. Another great update Tom, Really happy to have the Flags at last
  20. going, going, gone The c64 database is a long way from completion and the data within is still in a state of muddle. There is a lot to be done with that one, so, a lot of stuff will not match sadly. Flight Simulator II is named "Flight Simulator II (2810)" or "Flight Simulator II (2811)" depending on the version, but.... neither versions have any data in the db! Nothing but the database name and the goodname. Bruce lee does have info, but as yet this is not matched to a goodname entry, so will not be displayed either. There are nearly 20000 entries to be done on it so, sorry if it takes a while... Also, sorry that I have sadly been neglecting the databases for a while I will get back on top of them again.
  21. The PSX db has not really been worked on yet, but thanks and when I get on to that I will certainly add the redump.org names - thanks! HK: Can you add the "tick" to mark pd descriptions in the editor? I can remember most of the latest descriptions and it will help for later use in "games Database". Sorry to all that the db's have taken a bit of a back seat at the mo! Have been working on a DS version of the original Warhawk, and this has taken a toll on my time! I am still working on them and have been doing the odd update here and there - but I will get back in full swing soon! Sorry!!!
  22. Ahhhh, sorry mate, I messed myself also, I meant to reply to the original post - and failed.. Silly me...
  23. The databases are designed around the naming conventions of no-intro, goodtools, and tosec. So they should cover (when complete) pretty much all available sets. The downside is that very new releases will not be present (yet) and also, games named in a format other than them may not match. If a certain system only has dats for one or two of the databases, I have done my best to pick names that may still enable a match.
  24. I used access originally, and now I use private software called GxDBM, so sadly I cannot help here. I do wonder if a free version of visual studio may have the ability to open access files and edit them? It sounds like it would be a good idea if it did, so maybe? I am sure there was a post about editing the database files a while back, i believe it was IMBerzerk who was editing his.
  25. If you have "use database names" turned on and the database set up for each emulator, then the names are set in the mdb's located in GAMEEX/DATA/EMULATORS There is a single file for each system and within you will find all that you need to edit (microsoft access). This is an ongoing project and as such, many of the databases are not complete. If you look here Database Project you will see a list of complete and in progress databases. So, if you find an entry with errors that is marked as complete - please let me know! Thanks
