And you tried resetting and using sharks suggested settings as I mentioned before? Did you have any other codecs installed that may be conflicting? If the files don't play in WMP then I suggest trying the Shark007 forums. Since that's what they specialize in.

There's 78 sets. 71 games and 7 bioses so 78 sets is correct. I would want the full set as without the bioses, then some of the roms won't run correctly.

Hee Hee! I recommend that since the old code only does a standard code box instead of the old one where it was scrollable. That bbcode was changed when the forums were updated to IP.Board 3.x from IP.Board 2.x. So a spoiler at least hides it until we need it. I actually kinda like that better than a user uploading the file where I have to log in just to download it. Plus it saves on their upload space not that it takes up much for something like that but I like my stuff clean. LOL.

I put your config in a spoiler so that it doesn't take up the whole screen. For future reference please upload the data in a txt or zip file so that it's easier for us to read. Also please post your log file as I don't see how your config would be very helpful in this situation. Post your log when attempting to use your flv snaps in hopes that it provides something useful. Hmmmm those numbers aren't correct. The ZiNc set has 78 sets and 4 CHD's. I'm not sure where the 86 is coming from. I would suggest verifying your set in a rom manager like clrmamepro or RomCenter. Perhaps that's where you troubles lie. Because I've had success with ZiNcGUI in the past. I just have no call for it now since I run my ZiNc roms through GameEx natively.

I would agree with Circo. Many roms are unplayable in MAME. Usually anything unplayable will be listed in MAME and an alternative emulator will be listed for that rom over at MAWS. As a good reference, I usually take a look at NonMAME for some information about which emulators run what rom best. This site lists the emulators that run a particular rom better than MAME. Here's a quote from the site (first line): I find this to be very informative and I use it as a reference all the time to know which emulator to use to make my system have a higher working count of roms. I wouldn't think so in this case as GameEx is just passing along the command-line. Testing from the command-line is what needs to be done from the OP. Users saying the classic, "It works outside of GameEx" is basically untrue. Perhaps from the GUI yes but from the command-line, obviously not. So I suggest testing outside of GameEx from the command-line to troubleshoot. Final step would be that I'd be willing to help remotely as I do this with some of our users already. I know other members that have offered this in the past as well. Then we can narrow it down more quickly. Good luck and let us know the results or if you want remote assistance.

This may all be due to the basic settings or if you've made any changes in the shark007 codec pack. So much going on in this thread so hard to tell what's going on exactly. For those who are having problems, first test outside of GameEx. If WMP are not playing these files correctly then used Shark007's suggested settings. It's a checkbox on the bottom of the Shark007 Settings Application. I would do this after pressing the Reset All button in case something got changed. If the files are still not playing correctly in WMP then I suggest going to the Shark007 forums for some help as they are more knowledgeable about these things. Now if it's playing in WMP and not in GameEx then something is obviously wrong. Please post your logs as suggested. I don't use these files so makes it hard to test and duplicate. If need be then I'll get a hold of some and troubleshoot this.

Running outside of GameEx would require some type of loader unless you're running from command-line. There are many available at emulation sites. The reason being is that the rom name can not be used in the command-line. The rom number is passed instead. So these loaders take care of that. So try with a number instead of the rom name if you're running from command-line or download one of the many loaders.

What version of Future Pinball are you running? Also maybe trying setting Show Desktop to No. If not then I'll have to test myself. Let me know if I need to setup this system for troubleshooting.

10,207 is correct according to the dat generated from the 0.141u1 source. A big jump in numbers but it seems it was do to this reason.

Or simply use either of the config apps. In Setup Wizard go to Advanced MAME Settings and on the 4th page there is a setting called Excluded ROMs. Just remove the name of the rom you want back on the list.

This is an issue that has affected a few users. Even one of our mods is having troubles with this. It has been noted and hopefully Tom will look into it soon. Thanks for the report.

As per mesk's request, the MAP file for ParaJVE 0.7.0 has been released. It can be downloaded here which is found in fRequEnCy's Submissions thread and also is linked from my signature. Previous MAP file version has been archived. Please note that this emulator no longer requires a loader which is also archived. ParaJVE 0.7.0 can be launched via command-line. Command-line settings are posted in my Emulator Configurations Section. An Advanced Config is still required to watch for the javaw.exe process. Enjoy!

Either set the switch in the command line or create a config and set it in there so that it's called. Creating a config can be done by the mame executable and the -cc switch. As far as the command line for the cheat I would have to download and look in the documentation.

I've been happy with Windows 7 on my desktop and my HTPC. But for a strictly emulation system then Windows XP is fine. If you're happy with XP then stick with it. It's a matter of preference and of course hardware. So go with what will run best for your hardware.

This has to do with the emulators. Not GameEx! The reason is I believe that Windows 7 does not include the 16 bit MS-DOS Subsystem. So older dos emulators will not work unless you run them through dosbox. On most current emulators, this is not an issue. Only affects really old emulators for older systems.

This is done within the emulator itself. Click on Options Click on Settings... Click on Options tab Check On loading a ROM go to full screen
