  1. No problem! Let us know if those filters work out for you or if you need more help with them.
  2. Located in the Advanced MAME Settings. Then on the second page is where those settings start.
  3. Perhaps your settings got overwritten? First thing I would try is restoring your settings by renaming the GameEx.UpgradeBackup.ini file to GameEx.ini to resort back to what it was before the upgrade. These files can be found in the CONFIG directory of your GameEx install directory. Back up your GameEx.ini file just in case. If that doesn't work then we can go from there.
  4. PAC-MAN and Splatter House are in your Don't Filter these ROMS setting so that's why they show. I would also change the Only Existing Roms to Yes to only list the roms you have. Lots of filters so hard to decide exactly what you're wanting. Those 2 should get you one step closer to what you originally posted.
  5. I think all the information should be put in a spoiler except for the help section titles of course. That will separate things nicely. Thought it was be easy enough to just add the code tags but the post isn't organized nicely. Will have to re-do some of the code just to get it to work correctly. So will do it later when I have more time to spend on it.
  6. Probably has to do with the emulator. I just tried it and it's not playing well at all. The newest version. What version are you running? Exact version number please. As the new versions have the {F11} instead of the usual Alt{ENTER}. I also get errors trying to run my roms with emulator. Try running a game again and then exit out of GameEx. Then try running the runitgame.bat file. Instructions on how to do so can be found here.
  7. I mainly has to do with your filters. Filters can be a pain at times to get things just right. Try playing around with them. Post your gameex.ini file so we can see which the filters you're using. Can save as a text file and upload to the forums or just post the results in your post and put it in a spoiler so it doesn't take up the whole screen. Instructions on how to post the file is located here, step 2.
  8. No problem. Easy to miss something as GameEx has so many things going on.
  9. Try the Live lists (MAWS Hall of Fame & GameEx Favorites). That should be a good start.
  10. Please try updating your GameEx. A fix was released about the list. Then we'll go from there.
  11. There is a loader that handles switching bios'es depending on region. It was created by member zarkok and is located in the submissions thread found here. As far as the command-line for these emulators to just load the game in the cd/dvd drive, give me some time to download all these emulators and read the documentation to get the command-line for them. Also something you can try doin. Won't be able to get to this till next week though as I'm pretty busy on the weekend. Edit: ePSXe: Make sure you have the emulator working with all plugins and outside of GameEx. I don't have discs to test with but this is what I did for ePSXe. I just configured the drive in the emulator and then ran with the command-line: ePSXe.exe -nogui SSF Same rules apply. Setup the emulator (bios, cdrom drive, screen settings, etc.) and then run with the command-line below. SSF.exe Now this worked with a mounted image so it should work the same if you just want to run the emulator with the game in the drive as I'm just making my system think there is an actual disc in the drive. Come to think of it, i'm sure these can all be ported in to GameEx by importing an emulator config which is described here by Tempest, step 2. Then just tweak the command-line. Like remove [-virtualdrive-] switch since you're using actual discs or remove the daemon tools command if there's one. I haven't looked at these for some time so would have to look. Try these and then we'll move on.
  12. No IRC channel unfortunately. It has been mentioned before. As far as the chat, not many users are ever there. I wish that would change. But good thing about the forums is that it's archived for others to see that may have the same problem. Wish the chat would be used more often but I mostly use it to do real time troubleshooting after a user posts an issue. Ahhhh! Adultery beat me to it!
  13. LOL. Was gonna tell you to looooooook harrrrrrder.
  14. That is correct! So a goodmerged set wouldn't benefit from this but a set that is not goodmerged will give it that same type of results. Although wouldn't be as exact as it is generated by rom name but is a great feature none-the-less.
  15. Perhaps the Attract Audio Mode setting in Setup Wizard or the Attract Mode Audio setting in Advanced Configuration is what you're looking for? Setting is found in the Attract/Screensaver section of both apps.
  16. This would be an emulator thing and not a GameEx thing. If the emulator supports it then yes you can use the actual CD/DVD in the main drive. I'm pretty sure all those emulators you listed are capable of doing so. Would just need to point to your drive from within the emulator either by config, menu, or command-line. So best thing to do is try setting up the emulator and then we'll help you get it going in GameEx. If you need help with an emulator then just post again and we'll try to help you as best we can. Welcome to the forums!
  17. Yay! Great job ehuonder! I looked and also couldn't find but didn't look too hard. The whole activision thing through me off. Here's the proof that ehuonder is correct. I even looked there but passed it by.
  18. Very simple to do. Instead of posting steps, it's all over the net. Simply google "how to disable UAC" and you'll get lots of hits.
  19. Mark as solved! Another solved post be the OP. LOL. Good stuff! Glad you got it worked out. May be helpful to post how you solved it in case other users run into the same issue.
  20. LOL. I like these kinds of posts. Are the easiest to deal with.
  21. Hmmmm the video I have shows the correct game. I'm not sure what that game is exactly. I'd have to go through them just to figure it out. LOL. Not gonna do that unless someone who actually plays can answer. How did you obtain from EmuMovies? Using the downloading app or from ftp? Might wanna ask Circo but not sure he'll know as he does so many vids.
  22. Welcome back! Everything can be transferred over just fine. Only issue you'll have is that you'll have to e-mail Tom for a new key as the old one won't work on a 64bit system. As far as emulation goes, everything has ran fine for me and haven't had any issues. Only a few older emulators will be affected but we're talking old dos ones. But can be ran from dosbox so not really an issue. Another thing that would require some tweaking is UAC. Other than that you should be fine to go unless I missed something. If you have further questions then let us know! Have a great day!
  23. What's the source of the video? Emumovies?
  24. Thanks Tom!
  25. Solved! User had two mame.ini files. One in main directory and one in the ini directory (where Mame32UI puts it). So they were conflicting. Once the mame.ini file was deleted in the main directory, cheats worked. Little things like this will create huge problems. Hope this info helps someone and glad we got it all sorted out. Enjoy Raitsa!
