OMG, I got one right for a change. Be still my heart. Actually my old memory couldn't remember for sure. Went back and in some instances I'm using the Emumovies FLV instead of avi.

Haven't played them in awhile, but I believe Tom added support awhile back.

Five requests please 1) In mame, at the top of the page when you pick a game from your list, the name appears above the section where you select play, view cabinet etc. Would it be possible to also show the rom name. This would be helpful in your search for the bezel, cabinet etc. image. I use the Emumovies download Service for all my media and its not always complete. When playing a game and you find that a cetain media is lacking, the name would give you a stating point of what to look for on the web and then if found upload to Ciro for the Emumovies download Service. 2) Is there any thought of adding reports to the statistics section. It would be awesome to be able to generate reports as to missing media, etc. 3) Ability to have a different backround per game within a system. 4) A section called Tools or Utilities. In this section I want to put some of the other SpecSoft sofware to run from within GameEx without existing such as the image namer CD rip etc. I know I can add these as emulators but, I don;t want to take up slots. 5) Some more media slots in Mame like we have in other emulators. Ok, found some ingame snaps with bezel and have incorporated them into my Mame setup. Haven't found any videos with snaps yet. If you can remember where you got them FrequenCy let me know. Also did some testing and if you put a flash looped movie in the run before, it shows up behind the bezel and the game being played. Should work the same with all emulators and perhaps menus. There are lot of Flash looped background videos available on the net. Wanting one with neon or perhaps flashing lights on either side of the screen. Have never made a flash, so perhaps its time to learn. If this works the way I believe it should, this should open up a whole lot of screen and menu options for GameEx.

Good idea, Bkenobi. Have checked emumovies and can't find ingame videos in any format showing the games being played with bezels. Also checked the Emumovies download service and none of them have bezels. I'll do some checking with Circo and see if he can point me in the right direction. Would it be hard to write a plug-in that provides a backround that would show up behind the ingame video with bezel. Obviously the background would be a video that would provide the neon or flashing lights effect.

On a side note, would be cool if when GameEx display the ingame video it would have the bezel around it. Would look great and you then would instantly know if you have a bezel or not. Not sure if this is something that requires Emumovies to do, or if it can be done thru GameEx. Have often thought about requesting some open media slots for Mame and in one of them have it display the bezel. Also noted that the monitor display has room on either side of the bezel. In that space you could display the GameEx bezel around the existing bezel and game. It's wasted space. Even thought it would look nice to have panels filling in the empty space with digital LED's ot digital neon tubes or flashing lights. During Christmas if could even be filled in with a snow effect or digital christmas lights. Certaining would add a neat display on my cabinet and be another way that GameEx could stand out from the other frontends out there.

How those images coming Adultery

I Like a combination of Draco and Headkaze. Every game I play I don't make a favorite. The MAWS would work except its not my rating of a game but an overall rating. How bout the MAWS being the default and a button added to let you change the default to a personnal rating. That way you could also rate videos and music.

I have a strange setup. I do all my setup on a pc. Then I transfer my movies, Frets, several game systems to a external drive to use my HTPC or cab. On my cabinet I have all my emuulators. On the pc I have my books, magazines, comics, mugen, pinball etc.. I use the pc for updating my media, testing emulators, adding emulators, new systems etc. After I happy with the changes I copy over to external drives that I can move from Pc, to cab or to my HTPC.

I currently use one of the image open slots to display one of 5 images I've made, (1 of 5 stars, 2 of 5 stars etc) to display my personnal acessment of a game.Unfortunately I have to name the image for each game I want to rate. Would it be possible to have a way to put an option on the game screen so you could rate it within GameEx. Mayb4e a 1 to 10 scale wouuld be better, to allow for more of a spread of accessment. 1 to 5 dosn't allow for alot of distintion. Also when displaying "All GAMES", could a small icon be placed next to the game name showing the system its for. Icons for the game systems are pretty easy to find on the web. A quick search on my part came up with well over a hundred systems icons. This would make it easy to know which game is for which system. I use GameEx to read my comic book and magazine files. Could GameEx display in the snap image the first image in the file. This is always the cover of the book or magazine. Would look good to show the book covers as you scroll the titles.

First thanks for you working on my request. Perhaps Tom has one. He has the 3d one that spins. Would think that he started with a 2d one. Am working on submitting to Circo a bunch of 3d boxs,etc that he can use in the emumovies download service. Also a few other systems such as the Sega Pico and Sega SF-7000. Just having problems uploading. He currently has a lot of media available that up to now didn't show in GameEx. Hoping Tom adds more slots so we can take advantage of them.

The new Youtube features are awesome. Can a button be added to let us save a Youtube file we view and like to keep for showing to someone later. Another is request is the ability to play Karaoke files that are zipped. Could be done just like games where it unzips in to folder and is ovwerwritten with each new song.

Awesome update. Now that we can default to a screenshot, Is there anyone outthere that can step up and provide a default png so we can all use the same one. I would try but my abilty sucks. I envision a png that shows a small GameEx logo in the background and the words in front of it saying "No Snap Available" or no "No Boxart Available: etc.

This would work on snaps and videos but not on all the other media the download service is providing such as boxes, titles, etc. But, once again this inolves alot of time. It would just make the frontend look better to have something in that spot until one can find the time to find the media. (some may never be found, so you want something to show) this would also be a reminder to go take the time and go find that picture when the no box shot shows up.

Love the download service utitily. What I would like to see is if you have no video, snap, title, box etc. GameEx would display a picture saying no snap available, or no video available, no box available or whatever as a default.When a user is using my cab and nothing shows up they always as ask is the game working or available. GameEx would look to see if a picture or video is available, if not it would display the default. Just think the frontend experience would be improved if a picture showed up rather then just a blank spot on the scrren.

Switched to Stella Runs slower then Z26, but at lease it works. Still going to keep playing with Z26. Hate giving up, since it worked before. But now the kid can play the 2600. Now on to a few of the other older system. Thanks all.

Ran the emulator several times in debug mode. Norhing unusual. Tried running in another frontend and worked fine. Has to be a setting in GameEx. Having the same problem with Vectrex. Game goes back to Gameex. When I shut down GameEx emulator starts running. Going to check setting in GameEx next.

How and where do I run debug mode

Hi fRequEnC Have tried it with zip files, tried unzipped(bin or a26) Hear nothing in background. Trys to load and then just exit back to GameEx. Have changed the v setting ( have removed v setting.

Hi Tom, Roms, snaps etc show up fine. Tried dropping the options already but didn't work. I'm running a wide screen monitor but works fine outside GameEx
