Thanks to all for the replys. I thought that some of the AES and MVS roms were different because I have several roms with the same game that are quite abit different in size. Also there actually quite a few CD roms that are different. I agree the difference is not enough to make you go with the cd loading time.

Totally agree. The dumping is alot of what is causing my problems. The bulk of my cd games are bin/cue. As a result, to use TOSEC. I have had to start converting them to iso/cue to meet the naming conviction of TOSEC.

Thanks Nullpointer, Decided I'm going to try and get all my rom files checked thru Clmamepro. (Currently have about 200 different systems)( Alot of old systems thru MESS.) Have always did the big systems, MAME, Atari 5200, etc. Just haven't done a lot of the CD based systems. Am having a heck of a time finding dat files for some of these systems. TOSEC have some but are lacking.

Does any one have a Clrmame dat file for TG-16/PC Engine CD.

I know that neo-geo has a home system, a arcade system and a cd system. I know the cd roms for the CD system are different. Are the roms for the home and the arcade system the same or different. I can find a Clrmamepro dat file for the arcade. But can't find one for home.

Hey Celly Had already tried VLC. Tried running Moonshell thru Desmume and running moonshell by itself. Both cases Moonshell said that the media (The drive itself, I assume is not properly formated) and wouldn't work. I know my chip is formated differently (As a SD format) and that may be a requirement for moonshell.

My vote is for consistency with the download service.

If you wamt the snap to show in place of the video if you don't have the video, then you need to have the video and snap share the same directory. I have mine setup like yours, with seperate directories so if I don't have the video it will show the box, title, snap etc.

Thanks Tom, At work so I can't update but demo looks great. Will the popup also work on music and movies? Would it make sense to move the pop-up to the right so it doen't cover the lower snap shot?

Thanks Adultery Played around with it outside of GameEx and no go. Would only make sense since you can find programs to convert from various format in windows that you should be able to play in windows. There are several emulators out that will play avi files without moonshell on your DS. I like the dpg format because of the smaller size. On a different note did you ever come up with the standard missing snap shots for GameEx

Been converting some of my DVD's to the dpg format, so my son can play them on his DS. would also like to be able to play this format thru GameEx. Can't see to get GameEx to play this format. Any suggestions.

Couldn't find a setting when doing a search and a walkthru both in GameExconfig and the Setup Wizard. Another question. If you are configuring a emulator in GameExConfig you can set the emulator to use the database but not to use the database names. This works great. If you need to configure a emulator above the 60 or so in the Setup wizard, and you set to use the database there is no option to not use the database names.

Would it be possible to add sound to the screensaver. When I have friends over and the screensaver kicks in, they all ask what happened to the sound. The think the screensaver is the cab going into attract mode. So that would be awesome if it had sound while in "attract mode"

Awhile back someone made snap missing pics. Have they been posted yet and where.

New feature request. When using a theme and displaying a video when you display a system, I would like to see GameEx pick different videos out of a group,instead of displaying the same video each time. GameEx does this for your startup video. Both here, Emumovies and on the web, I m finding more and more startup videos for systems. For most systems I now have the ones from Emumovies, Carls from here and quite a few that are avaialble on the web. ( Youtube has quite alot). When you or a friend browes thru the systems list, a different system video popping up adds to the experience of using the greatest frontend available.

Lost mine too, checked and the setting were gone. Reset city and I was good to go. I do see a problem though. Alot of the virus programs including mine, like to clear cookies. (Even when you ask it not to) Would like to see GameEx write the settngs to the GmeEx ini file so that they are always available.

Hi Tom, Another great feature. If you change the folder and database name, when GameBase updates, how will Gamebase update the database if the name has changed.
