  1. Ok, I found a little more on this. This seems to be a problem with Loserman's tables. About a dozen that I know of. The backglasses work under vp alone, but not under Pinball X (Table only). I don't know what's happening differently under vp alone, than under Pinball X. log.txt
  2. I have 1 table for some reason won't work in Pinball X, and it's bugging the h*** out of me. Rocket III from vpf. I know this isn't a backglass forum, but what's weird is it works in the vp editor perfectly. Run it through Pinball X, and no backglass, but the table plays as if there is a backglass. I tried to click on the backglass, but if I click on the backglass (left or right) the table image disappears as if the table/program crashed- blank screen. Hit Escape and the menu appears as if all is well. I don't see anything in the log, but maybe there's something I'm missing. The table and backglass fires right up in the vp editor. Under Pinball X- only the table shows. I have 719 other 2 screen tables working perfectly, so it's not a matter of settings. Search Rocket III at vpf- that is the unmodifed version I have on my cab. If no one has any ideas, I may have to remake it myself, but I don't have the time. log.txt
  3. Me too. Go through the setting wizard and pick a key for screengrabs. Then start a table in Pinball X, hit the key, and it works like prntscrn. The screengrab will be at: PinballX/media/visualpinball/screengrabs (or screegrabs backglass for backglass captures). That's how I did it for all my 720 tables.
  4. Sorry, I just stumbled across this thread. Brad's a great guy, he's helping me on my cab. Also worked on a project with him, (don't know if it still needs to be under wraps or not). Adultery, maybe your wife will let you get this?..... Or the other one if you can't afford the first one.
  5. You can always take screenshots through Pinball X. I make my own screenshots for every table I have. This way I can see if the table/backglass in question is indeed an upgrade or not. Setup your screengrabs via Pinball X and all you have to download are wheels. If you don't find what you're looking for here, check out my site for the remainder. I share my cabinet backup on my site with all members, just as they do here with the FTP. Let's see, at last count my cab had: 188 EM tables 358 Solid State Tables 115 DMD Tables 13 Sam Tables 10 Cocktail Tables 8 Bowlers (684 including 8 Bowlers) About 30 more to add when I can. I MIGHT be missing as many as 6 wheels.
  6. Here's what I'm stuck on. Working path- check Table path ??? Executable- check Parameters ???
  7. Blasphemy!!
  8. I'd be interested to see if anyone can get this working in Pinball X on their cabs. I'm not sure where to start. Preferably full screen with 270 rotation, if possible. I'm running 7x64, and this program runs on 7. http://www.peterhirschberg.com/handheld/ledhead/windows_download.htm http://www.peterhirschberg.com/handheld/ledhead/windows_screenshots.htm
  9. Mike: I tried it without the field filled out and no dice. It works from the .exe on it's own. I also tried putting the .exe in with the tables and adjusting the path- no dice. Then I played a game and found I wasn't missing much lol.
  10. What am I doing wrong? I have the tables in a folder (shown), the executable is in the previous folder Pinball FX2. It starts to load, but then crashes back to the selection screen the same way as if I was selecting a table that wasn't there. But I get no errors on "Verify". log.txt PinballX.ini
  11. I don't know if I mentioned it or not, but all my wheels (including some I don't have tables for yet) are on the ftp. I believe it's 630 I added a while ago. Pinballx/Other uploads/Wheel images from Itchigo's cab. I'm not claiming ownership, they're just for the community to use. Sorry Tom, I didn't realize there was an official folder. As I do things manually, I really don't use the game manager.
  12. Way to go Zeenon!
  13. Sorry I'm late to the party, but thanks Tom.
  14. One thing I'm really surprised hasn't gotten fixed is screengrabs (having to rotate playfield screengrabs). It's easy enough to fix (batch conversion), I'm just really surprised it's still like that. But I know there are bigger fish to fry too. One thing that's annoying to me is Pinball X adding "Tables" to the end of each XML file. I have an XML marked "Bowlers", and it shows as "Bowlers Tables". Still, minor in the scope of things.
  15. Would anyone have any of these? Out of 585 I'm down to these. 3 Coins (Williams 1962) *Not released* Big Casino (Gottlieb 1961) Big Chief (Williams 1965) Casino (Williams 1958) Diamond Lill (Gottlieb 1954) Def Leppard (Music Table) Double barrel (Williams 1961) Dragon Bob (Bob5453) Golden Arrow (Gottlieb 1977) Itchigo's Quicksilver (Itchigo) Lady_Luck (Gottlieb 1954) Moulin Rogue (williams 1965) Orbitor1 (Stern 1982) Preview (Gottlieb 1962) *Not Released* Scorpion (Williams 1980) Space Riders (Atari 1978) Spitfire (Williams 1954) *Not Released* The good taste of beer (Itchigo) *Not Released* TMNT (Original) Trigon (Shiva 2005) Wonderland (Williams 1955) X-Men Pro (Stern 2012)
  16. What about just naming it media1 and replacing the folders if you're really worried?
  17. That would be my guess too. Not a big deal for me though.
  18. Where can I donate? It can't be too much but hopefully there's a cumulative effect. The truth is I don't really use the ftp, but I want to support Pinball X. Tom you saved us all from Hyperpin!
  19. I know a lot of people here frequent multiple sites, and that's just fine with me so I'm putting this out there. Yogi, the keeper of the Pinball People Gallery doesn't want to keep the site up anymore, and he's passed the torch to me. I've set up a gallery with all the old pictures ready to go. Guests can view the gallery, but can't upload a picture. So if you want to update your picture, please pm it to me. If you add it yourself, you'll be able to edit it, but since I set it up everything has my name on it and may/maynot match your current username. New members are fine. We now return you to your regularly scheduled programming.
  20. Something I started doing at my site was "sharing" my cabinet backup will all the members in the downloads area. Kind of like giving everyone my dropbox link. I had thought about doing this as a "Premium Membership" to pay for the site, but then a VERY generous member stepped forward and made this unnecessary. i mention this because it's similar type thing to your FTP as far as resources. I have all my 2 screen tables, wheels, and backglass/table images. I really don't worry about who's table it is, I just tried to match up the best table whenever a new backglass becomes available. In fact all the tables just have the games title and year. Most are unmodifed (except for layback, etc), but some older ones I have rebuilt (rubbers). I really don't view this as hosting others work on the site because it's offsite (ADrive.com) and I'm not taking credit for anything. I'm thinking of this as I'm publicly giving out my dropbox link. (Long story short I had to redo downloads, so I moved all the files I could offsite and linked back). Members are encouraged to contribute as well. If someone has something not on the list, they can send it to me and I'll add it to the pile. But since I have so many (537), I thought it would be cool to have it as a running, complete backup of all the FS tables. I don't do videos on my cab, but I didn't know if you guys wanted to join forces of sorts. Oh by the way, I don't have paid memberships, but you do have to be a registered member to access downloads. Downloads/Itchy's cab.
  21. Geez, this stuff's getting out of hand lol. Seems like the options are never ending! I just have a 2 screen woodrail cab so I can play with my desktop next to it. I'm kind of kidding, but I'm really surprised how much people are putting into this. My wife was wrong, apparently pinball DOES make the world go round. Told her....
  22. Could it be something as simple as a misnamed table(s)? If you have a misnamed table it will return you to the select screen. If the tables folder is misnamed/incorrect path I would think it would do the same.
  23. Since cabs can go online and you can "steal" wheels and such from other people's cabs why can't pinballX access the notepad type highscore file?
  24. Reading this I was going to say the same thing. Use a transparent image. Maybe something could be done as an option to change the direction/upslope/downslope pattern of the wheel. Doesn't matter to me, just an idea.
  25. Actually I think a "Random table selection" would be a nice addition. Probably not hard to do either, I could do it in vp easily. Just like Match coding. (100 tables numbered in order) MatchNumber = Int(Rnd(1)*10)*10 Add play command, and make the random choice out of a selected xml.
