  1. Works for me. I made Big Hit.
  2. I didn't know that, I never tried it actually. That was off the top of my head.
  3. You can always go into the text file and change it I would think. PinballX\High Scores
  4. I have an idea, but feel free to shoot me down, as I don't know what I'm asking for. We all know we can make many xml's for different categories. But that just fills up the page with choices. What about having "subgroups" of categories, looking in more than one folder? Example: Visual Pinball: Recreations V: Pinball X/Recreations Originals V: Pinball X/Originals Mods V: Pinball X/Mods Yes, I have a V: Drive, strictly for pinball. But you get the idea. (The reason for multiple folders is so you don't have a "monster folder", which makes things easier to keep track of).
  5. I don't mean to steal Tom's thunder, but for those who want a cab and can't afford much, I'd recommend this. Here's what I did: I built a cabinet (empty) with buttons for play. Mount 2 screens in it. Use an existing desktop, but, by remote. All my cab is, is a glorified controller. I use a hotkey (Windows+P) to extend the screens, then hit Pinball X. Back to duplicate to work. Why watse a good computer, just for pinball? Worthy, yes, but not practical. My cab cost less than 500$, plus the computer which I had already built for myself. Items needed: Cabinet Buttons Wiring I-Pac 2 screens An existing, decent computer.- In fact, I'm on my cab now!! I'm glad I built one, but what got me started is I realized I had most of it laying around the house. http://roguepinball.com/index.php/topic,211.0.html We now return you to your regularly scheduled programming, AND GET BUILDING!!

  7. Actually I had lag with HP also in this area. I do with Pinball x too, but I gather the program just needs time to properly shut down. The cursor should disappear when you press a key during play. Move the mouse while playing and it'll appear until you hit a key.
  8. Also Distant World (my fake Stern SS). I have a new friend there. Also this one for my "fake" Gottlieb EM. http://imageupper.com/i/?S0300010070013Y1380500639226852 http://imageupper.com/i/?S0200010060013J1380500135226979
  9. All tables, or just one? I was guessing a script error on the individual table.

They go here: PinballX\Media\Visual Pinball\Table Audio, and yes, it works!
  12. Mmmmm Milky way.... Goes good with this. (Sorry, off topic I know, but couldn't help myself).
  13. In the Keydown in the script you'll see something like this: If keycode = AddCreditKey Or for starting a game: If keycode = StartGameKey Change to whatever keycode you like. Here's a list. vpkeycodes.rtf
  14. Do you mean the coin in sound, or the number of credits. Also, which game? I'll tease you a bit........
  15. I meant like from going to 1.61 to 1.62, etc. As long as it keeps my settings/databases, etc. That's my main concern. and why I asked that. Even if there is a limit, I've been doing it manually before I knew the game manager existed anyway. It's good to go through things periodically and make sure everything still works. Aside form that, I'm an author too, so I have my own tables to add....
  16. What's the best way to upgrade to a newer version. Just switch/overwrite the .exe? Also I saw somewhere that the game manager can only handle like 330 games, or something like that, but it was an old post. Does the game manager still have a limit? I'm just about there now (320), and have no intention of stopping.
  17. Yes, my screenshot is also upside down. I was going to report it, but I figured I did something to make it that way. No matter. Take all your screenshots at once- open Irfanview/batch conversion, and do them all at once. Only takes a minute that way. Here are my settings. I'm now wondering if the "weirdness" is my machine slowing down. I'm getting some stutter- never used to get any before.
  18. I have a couple tables that "freeze" up when started. They pop up normally, but won't accept inputs of any kind. So far the 2 I know of are old Rosve B2s's Hocus Pocus, and Centigrade 37. They boot up, then wont accept coins or start if they already have credits. These are tables that were previously working. As is, right now, they work under the editor. Hocus Pocus goes into the "loading screen" then comes back to the wheel. The table never boots. Table Crash? Ac/dc plays, but will crash when I press P for the screenshot. Then, the backglass is still playing. Press escape again, and I have to close the table through the editor. This is the only table that does this. I should say that I have tried multiple versions of the "Daily Builds" of VP. All these tables play fine when in the editor only and not under Pinball X. Any Ideas? log.txt

Pinball X /Plugin manager. There's a checkbox. The volume is low, and the pronunciation isn't the best, but it does work out of the box. I've heard I can add sounds to play for the wheel? Can I record myself saying the tablename, and add the file somewhere?
  20. I like that idea. It's a timesaver when doing lists. Disregard what I said about the wheel, and choices. I got the wheel working as it should, and between the page jump, and scrolling, it's great. Thanks Tom for this wonderful front end.
  21. It's not a Pinball X problem. Stuck Flippers have been reported here and there, and not always the same table. I have had it on a couple here and there using only the editor. I restarted the table and sometimes it worked ok, and sometimes it didn't.
  22. I just wanted to say, as I have a woodrail cab- thanks for the wood wheel!
  23. I thought I responded, but I didn't. I got it all sorted out, thanks for the help!
