  1. Cool beans. Would love to build a pincab.
  2. Thas me.
  3. It's not top-down, but hope this helps. One standard flipper:
  4. Looking forward to taking this for a spin.
  5. Nice work + damn - worried might have to replace my Seimitsu's now!! How do these work with schmups? Nice smooth circular?? And finally.... a European part to be proud of in terms of arcade parts...
  6. Nearly there....
  7. Whoa. Just whoa....
  8. Seriously though - what on earth would you need that much storage for!? Before that fantastic BioShock character, we had this here in the UK: ] Some days I feel so proud to be British...
  9. I'm meaning a middle-end (!!??) that helps you alter all the settings - I'm sure I remember Mednafen needing this - Mednaffe? Why on earth do you think I would be recommending using a different front end!?
  10. Nice one and thanks. Really hope this can happen. Burning the candle both ends to get this stoopid project finished and accessing the game titles and snaps is quite an important bit. I need to get round now to looking into making plugins so I don't have to keep pestering everybody. Thanks for your ongoing help, Adultery.
  11. Had a brief dabble with Retroarch - I got lost at the Cores bit - couldn't find them! Didn't persist with it really. Emulator choice is getting quite a convoluted business, really. I had a go with Mednafen when looking into all the PSX emulators - i'ts quite good, as long as you get a good gui for it. Best for 2D games on the PSX + also lots of other systems included.
  12. Dammit - first of all, I really should attach logs when I say I'm gonna! Attached. Yeah - using best match. Seems to identify the images correctly on the GE display - I assumed QL pulled the images from those ID'd by GE, unless GE final images aren't available to plugins? Thanks for the reply QuickLaunch - Copy.txt
  13. So - looks like Mednafen for the good all-rounder and FCEUX for the esotric-nuts and bolts. Thanks - that's helpful for when I review my emu installations. Quite like the FCEUX - (a) because it sounds like a French swear word and ( b ) because of this screenshot: Whoa - now that's some major tweaking/ game teardowns right there!
  14. Back on the issue above. Mostly working, but for some reason, Quicklaunch not grabbing the title and snap images. Have tried it on various systems + setups (vid + title; snap + title etc) - but the title and snap tags just don;t seem to populate. Attached example log = running version 1.1.5 without Quckstart enabled in GE. Any ideas?
  15. The opportunity to do something good for a human cause and for a fella who puts in more than he gets back. The possibility to show you can give something without expecting anything in return. The chance to put down the knife and fork and stop consuming..... So cummon you tight buggers - 12,000 members and only a tiny handful have given something.... OK, OK - I mean I know most of us are middle-aged men, but cummon - we can stop being mardy b*****rds for 10 minutes and wish this fella well for what will be an emotive cause for lots.... can't we? HERE: http://www.gameex.info/forums/topic/16655-news-support-cancer-nurses-and-see-me-with-a-shaved-head/?p=146081 Don't make me come down there + knock your heads together.

  16. Ah! Duh! I did think "that 74p is quite random." I'm getting thick in my old age. I am really loving these game offers. Reminds me of the old Mastertronic £1.99 range.
  17. That's exactly what I'm on about, Classic - it's that knowledge - people who have tried out all the emulators for each system and the pros and cons of each. So which one would you recommend for NES and why? (I haven't looked at the NES very much)
  18. I didn't but I do now! It would have surprised me if it was. Thanks for clarifying. That guy can put together a video, for sure. I was hoping he was specializing in upgrading old system graphics (e.g. the HD texture packs for N64) - something I know's not everyone's cup of tea, but I'm quite interested in. I'd love for someone to get to grips with HD textures for the Playstation....
  19. Sounds like you got the name of the behemoth: "The Big Daddy" - like it!
  20. http://steamcommunity.com/app/237110 Offer ends 21 Sep 6:00pm BST Just tried on my test rig - this is gonna be great on an arcade rig.
  21. My god! 24 drive bays!? That could be like 100TB or something. Are helping out the NSA or something? Looks like a beast + sure it'll be futrue-proofed for a couple of decades?
  22. Interesting vid and again - would be great for new-starters. tbh - I do find google searching a little messy and i think you can often miss little gems - that's why I like the old fashioned method of asking the guys down the pub which is the best ale, rather than have Kelkoo tell me!
  23. Some good steers there thanks null. Come across some randomly in my travels. Non-mame especially is a good list - although some of its recommendations as best emu could be debated (e.g. Reicast for dreamcast). Wish I'd had that list when I was starting out!
  24. What good emulation sites do people know of in terms of: General development + newsSystem Specific (e.g. Playstation emulation sites)Add-ons such as GPU + SPU pluginsThe main two I know of are NGEmu (not updated very often and seems to miss any next-gen emu dev like xbox360) and emuCR (seems to be an update log)
