    Deadpool

Now that really does look very good indeed.
  2. However, Congratulations to ExedExes!! 4th best Mame player in the world. No small accolade.
  3. I'd rather pay to support small enterprises than encourage advertising. I'm sick of it. Would happily repeat my subs to GEx to support the ongoing cause. I think the removal of the ads shows true integrity -however - understand your point, tthurman - can understand how some communities with overheads might choose advertising. However, I do wonder in those whether if you gave the community members a choice - they'd prefer subs over ads (e.g. emumovies) In short, I'm old, grumpy and hate the world. not really - just hate this free-market economy model that seems to not only be prevailing but getting worse. I mean, what is it, the bleeding 1950s or something!? Time to move on to a new idea, world... the old one nearly bust us all 6 years ago - lets learn from our mistakes...
  4. Good man. Just when you think the world's gone to capitalizing, self-serving s**t, someone comes along to restore your faith.
  5. Appreciate your mindfulness, Tom. I forgot to put the ubiquitous cookie popup in my html5 rant. Whatever happened to "3 clicks"??
  6. No seriously - the web's going to s**t over the past 6 months. pop-ups and ads are everywhere (even at the top of gameex I notice!) and whilst I appreciate the idea of sites being compatible across different device types, it just doesn't work out that way - I'm getting horrid html5 pop-over ads and image viewers crashing my phone browsers; firefox has started getting unreliable (it's been the best and nice and stable for past 2 years) and browsers on my tablet keep freezing. Whilst I don't understand the code behind html - I'm guessing the motivation - greed. Someone made a lot of money and it wasn't artisans or creatives. The internet's gone to junk and someone let it happen...... Now... I must look into giffgaff mobile for only £10 a month (ad at the bottom of this page now, I see!) It's all horrendously dystopian. (unbelievably - "dystopian" shows as a spelling error! the thought police are even onto that one!) urgh. Modern living.
  7. Ha! I've got a Shuttle laying around somewhere - I've still got plans at the back of my head to use those compact components in a MAME build somehow. Haven't sparked it up in years - I think the processor only has one core and it's running XP. Lots to do when I retire (will they still make Pentium 4s in 20 years time?) I remember designing a 800x600 skin for some software called NordBeat Jukebox so it could run on my SD widescreen CRT. Damn - where's the time go?
  8. BTW - I am using an Antec P280 mid-tower for my build.That's a nice case.
  9. Guess the main consideration around form factor will be accommodating any big GPUs...
  10. Take a look at: http://www.gameex.info/forums/topic/16130-app-emvoy-system-multi-emu-launcher/ https://emvoy.codeplex.com/
  11. Welcome chap. Specs below run up to PS2 and Gamecube fine. Also, manages some Wii games, but starts to hit the ceiling at this point with slow-down - guessing it's the CPU and not the GPU: Keep us posted on yer build. You may want to check out Citra, and the PS3/Xbox360 emus - they all seem to be gathering some momentum - Think if had the resources I'd be striving to build for those emus - although not sure they're at the stage of recommended specs.
  12. That's cool - especially the virtual tour. Spotted this: Wow! 3 Grand for a mame machine!
  13. Still sucks. Sure, like cheddar, it'll improve with age. I just don't like those 'long, bottomless' sites on a PC with bits flying up, down, in parallel etc. Makes me feel sick. Maybe I'm just an old mardy b*****rd.
  14. As in pop-ups everywhere; regular browser crashes + plugin failures; over-'under'-designed pages and tablet-centric layouts. Some of us still use a PC....
  15. Sadly, I don't think there is a guide. However, lots of info here, but a bit of a trawl: http://www.gameex.info/forums/topic/1205-theme-editor-questions/

    Carnage

My thoughts exactly. Although if id have known him in my 20s, id still have though "what a knob."
  17. I'd wait for evo - i'm guessing not too long now - rather than learn theme creation and then have to re-learn it for the new version. Just my 2c
  18. Stuck for 2 days on a simple vb.net problem...tried post + chat room over @ SO, former met with no replies and latter with some very techie sneering and derision. Any kindly members of my home team willing to help? c# would be just as good...

  20. Go mednafen. Runs games seamlessly.
