  1. Many happy returns, fella. Immaculate job at keeping us all in order - it must be like platting fog. Have a beer/steak/cake/10-coin playfest.
  2. Cheers Tom. Hope it wasn't too much hassle.
  3. Well, the additional problem for me is that my folder structure is like this: System > Games >> Various games assets folders including snap/title/box etc > System >> System Intros >> System Pictures > Emulators >> Emu Images >> Emu Settings So can't even just point sync towards a 'new' assets folder. So now, kinda kills the functionality of sync as have to download and manually move assets. Once done this, of course, kills the 'sync' functionality as files are now elsewhere. I'm conscious that I'm registering quite a few requests of Tom/Headkaze at the moment - but I'm hoping they're just small code adjustments
  4. Naw. People just can't walk properly anymore.
  5. This one's @Tom Speirs really. Tom - is there any chance on your next update to EmuMOvies Sync you can add an option to specify a system's root folder directly instead of the app making it for you. Problem being, I already have my folder setup for my systems in a standardised format (off the GameEx format, of course), but EmuMovies Sync crates it's own. For example, I have the folder "Sony Playstation" which then contains subfolders (e.g. "Game" "system") but then EmuMovies creates a folder called "Sony_Playstation." I guess as you have to specify the system when choosing the download location, this should work OK? So - any way of cutting out the creation of "Sony_Playstation" and just putting the sub-folders into the download location directly? Edit: Main issue being, if I manually move the sub foldrrs this ruins the sync. Therefore, its except tge existing folder structure or nothing...
  6. Many happy ones. You should seriously consider eating cake.
  7. Big update to Game, Set and Match with this project in mind. Check here: Hopefully now will be able to start focussing on content creation/organisation.
  8. Massive update: 1.3.0 Fixed Select All bug Fixed major deal breaker - Other folders not being matched. Added setting to show images that also match the gamename. Added overide saveas when moving images between folders - allows manual setting of filename (made safe) Added open search result images in image editor for editing before putting image set folders Added image search preview Added save any images as png when moving/adding/copying - produces unified sets of png images Added database backup roller - keeps rolling backup over months, weeks, days - limited to 10 files Added open logs/chagelog buttons Added manual backup and restore of database. Added image webserch function! Added new features and workings to hopefully make amalgamating/constructing/creating image sets a breeze. Updated OP with new screenies and Video
  9. Great. No worries + thanks for the follow-up.
  10. That looks great. Showcases headkaze's app spectacularly. That app was written 10 years ago + it's still going strong today! The dude's got some mad skilz,
  11. Not very... Tip #34: Don't over-post on your favourite forum - you might wear it out: (Sorry - I'll get a life one day, hopefully!)
  12. giggity @ "BlueBalls"
  13. Nice one - yerp - now added mame to the conventions list! Looks like the convention still stands though? " -" for ":" - still seems to translate gxnames to nointro and goodnames??
  14. Yeah. Onerous task potentially. Totally agree on the Unified name. So - looking through the database for playstation (often my test system) - it's looking like a " -" (space, dash) replacement is better than null. this will transform a lot of the gx names into HL and Goodnames format. Better to have a crossover than none where the option presents, right? Think I'm going to go ahead and start working to this convention. Thus - image sets will be in gxname format with the ":" > " -" replacement. Just thought I'd run this pass you devs before proceeding - shout "FOR THE LOVE OF GOD, STOP MAN!" if i'#m missing anything obvious.
  15. I miss trumpeting the cheap and the wonderful.
  16. Ah yeah - CPWizard is all you need if yer just setting up Mame. CPWizBiz can make working with layouts a bit easier, though - allowing you to batch resize/change attributes + work with images better (preserve aspect etc). I'm suspecting that it's a bit of a steep learning curve though - 415 downloads and not one person using it. Either that or it's knackered. btw - "4th display"!? awesome.
  17. Cheers. Ah, that's not good news. I guess the difficulty with basing image names on rom names is that rom names can vary from convention to convention. Thus this would throw people with different sets. HL seems the most complete (?) but not sure GEdb is fully populated with this. This is why I was hopeful that there was some means to leverage the gx names. My guess is that GX can resolve each rom to the single gxname standard. If these names could be kept consistent then there would be a standard to work from. It would also be a good payoff for all the hard work (you're and a select few) are doing making the system maps (i.e. mapping all of the different conventions to a single gxname). There could be an agreed method to convert gxnames to a filesafe format, or I don't know how easy a search/replace would be on ":" (pesky colon!) Feel like I'm asking a lot of you 'top floor' guys at the moment, but it is just trying to make the gx community awesome and get us some content-sugar!
  18. Hmmm - sorry back to this. So my original aim was to produce new image sets with images renamed to the gx names with the ":" (colon) replace. However, not sure this is going to dovetail well with GE. An example of where this falls down is: Rom = "007 - Tomorrow Never Dies (Europe).zip" DB Gamename; "007: Tomorrow Never Dies" (matched via HyperList or Goodname map) The resulting image = "007 Tomorrow Never Dies" (derived from the game name with the ":" replaced with "" [null]) Of course, you replace with " -" to make it equal "007 - Tomorrow Never Dies" which then works. But then this fails for 007 racing: Rom: "007 Racing (Europe)" DB Gamename: "007: Racing" Resulting image: "007 - Racing" This then fails (GE does not match the image). However "007 Racing" works. My deduction is that GE is matching images via the filename formats rather than the db gamename? This makes producing standardised image sets problematic. For instance, the Playstation db has some games exclusive to one convention (e.g. "All-Star 1997 Featuring Frank Thomas"). Therefore you can't choose one convention versus another to have all games represented... Dunno if that makes sense? What would be easier is if GE also matched images via a 'filesafe' db name - or is there another work around? Hard to explain that one.... I'm holding off producing the games logos sets until I know how I'm naming them! It would be easiest if I could rename to gxnames, but don't know if that's possible.
  19. "May Flash"?? Relation? You on commission? Thanks for the steer - Dolphin is one tidy emu + this will be useful to come back to when re-setting it up.
  20. Love the attention to detail. Given it's multi-monitor, just a share of a few apps I've spit and glued together to help with multi-mon controls/image displays: https://cpwizbiz.codeplex.com/
  21. Pow! How's that for helping out!?
  22. @headkaze Sooo.... *whistles + kicks his feet innocently..... How hard would it be then to add a setting for the thickness of the outline around label text? Or even just thickening it a little? Is it just an arbitrary number hardcoded or is it more of a nightmare? Additionally, I think I'd have to kill someone if they asked me to revisit my code from 9 years ago! I can barely understand mine from 4 weeks ago. So would totally understand if it's a no-go. However, everything is coming together my end after 18 months. CPWizard is singing gloriously with CPWizBiz, MarqueeMasher and GemVoy + all plans coming to fruition + it's looking chipper. I've modded it so game images get dynamically displayed behind text and images, so needing the text outline a little thicker to ensure it is legible. I know yer very busy, but even a nod whether it's possible or not would be helpful. Cheers
  23. Nice one Tom. Thanks fella. Happy its an easy fix.
  24. Chipper.
  25. Update - "Spoke too soon...maybe this time.." V0.9.6 Rewrote keyhook for Quicklaunch picker. Begone directX headache.
