  1. For LCDs you can go with AimTraks - i have them set up on mine. However, be warned: you are entering a world of pain, son, a world of pain (qt John Goodman) They take some setting up, but totally worth it for the moment you get 2 player Time Crisis 3 working on PCSX2
  2. Nice one on this. Does it include 3d cabs? Anything it doesn't include?
  3. Did you meet at the Love Shack?
  4. Many happy returns @SpyhunterUK Two reasons for the shout out: 1. SpyHunter was one of me faves as a kid 2. Obviously the UK connection. Go UKacders!
  5. Those buggers will be too busy messing about on space hoppers and playing table football. <Jealous
  6. This on chrome on address: Apart from that - nice clean, modern and fresh looking layout. Looks good! I would update some of the images though - they're looking a little low rez and dated. Example: Do you ever sleep!? Either that or you can create time.
  7. @Draco1962 Just tried the doom demo - sure it'll be a hit with FPS fans - it's quite mentally fast and furious. Love the soundwork - especially given the Dolby DTS with PS4 Got a home cinema amp with DTS + it's really bringing games to life Thanks Hans - few ideas there. Must say - I'm incredibly impressed with The Last of Us. One of the best games I've played in years. Great balance of production, gameplay, story and attention to detail. Not sure what I'll do about FF15. I kinda lost interest after 9. FF10 on the PS2 was a huge disappointment + subsequent ones also lost their gleam for me. @sandman7793 - thanks but haven't got a 4k TV and not that bothered about VR atm (I've read that the PS4 one isn't gonna be as good quality as Occy Rift etc). Also, guessing it's gonna be more pricey. When I get a 4k telly, I'll think about a PS4.5 as they'll prob come down in price as well. Yerp - the lack of PS3 back compat is a drag, but presently have a xbox360, so wouldn't need the XOne back compat anywhoos! Also, V happy to be back on the PS platform and have read that the GPU on PS4 is better than XOne. So, all things considered, happy to stick with the PS4. Next you'll be telling me the shop that sells them for £50 cheaper!
  8. Err - cute project. $30? No.
  9. I tried and I tried to resist and tried and be a proper responsible 42 year old. However, I caved after a bad day at work + impulse bought a PS4. Not disappointed - nice kit. So - I went for the obvious and got Fallout 4 - that'll be a staple. Also got The Last of Us (remastered) + again - not disappointed - great game - immaculately produced. What else are people playing? Never been a big FPS guy - I'm thinking about Elder Scrolls online and possibly the Witcher 3, although I was a bit disappointed with the Witcher 2 - despite being described as open world - i found the play areas a little small - kinda like dragon age where it's interconnected levels rather than open world - is the Witcher 3 betterer? Geek-on over and out.
  10. Cool - no chips all transistors and analogue circuitry. Doesn't look too bad considering.
  11. Cool. Wonder why it got missed off the mame catalogue?
  12. okiedokie - just bouncing off your previous post Draco where you were saying you will be short on time. You still happy to co-ordinate who's doing what system etc?
  13. @RIP-Felix Hmm - apologies - still getting used to BTSync. Try this one: https://link.getsync.com/#f=GameLogos&sz=86E7&t=2&s=MWIGK757BQZLGD2PPVG3HUAZ6D3INASGQHJBJHHQL5BVQ7MTE6OA&i=CQKAPOWHW2H5QBRW2HI2YLYX6JLDGKGTL&v=2.3 It's the link directly off my 24/7 server. The other was from a client machine. I'll need to activate your request - not sure how my ISP would be if anyone could DL directly without approval first. This one is read only, but let me know if you're going to actively source/make game logos and I can give you read/write permissions. @Draco1962 - This is starting to feel like two separate projects - one to gather, collate or make the game logos and another to resize them and upload them to the FTP. Shall we split the two off? Happy to co-ordinate the former...
  14. Good to see interest. Having spent some time putting GameSetMatch through its paces have learned some stuff. Firstly the good news - the Playstation 1 set is nearly complete, depending on which list you use. For the GameEx db: Run on: 2016/06/19 22:48:21 Setup: GameLogos: Sony PlayStation Total Entries: 986 Matched: 695 No. of orphans: 291 RomFile Convention: GoodName And for PS1 games using Hyperlist: Run on: 2016/06/19 22:51:07 Setup: GameLogos: Sony PlayStation (HList) Total Entries: 1807 Matched: 1807 No. of orphans: 0 RomFile Convention: Name PS1 set nearly complete! You can download it here: https://link.getsync.com/#f=GameLogos&sz=1E9&t=2&s=MWIGK757BQZLGD2PPVG3HUAZ6D3INASGQHJBJHHQL5BVQ7MTE6OA&i=C7KPN6LN2XZ5IPNAJFC4XDCMXSHFAKCPG&e=1466632322&v=2.3 If someone wants to grab them + do all the resize gubbins + upload them to the ftp - be my guest... The bad news: most of any pre-existing images seem to be a max of 400px in any one direction. Someone's done a lot of work on the existing image sets + I wonder whether they have larger un-scaled versions somewhere, but as for public-ally available, it looks like 400px is the limit. You make some good points, felix, about future-proofing and 4k. However, I'm sure others in the retro-game community are thinking likewise so would be interesting to see where they're at with things. As for GIMP - it wont take long to pick it up. The main research/practice you should look into include: - Creating a transparent background on an image - Using the select and lasso tool - layer and filter effects - anti-aliasing edges - getting clean edges on an image. - de-speckle/sharpen image As for sourcing - GameSetMatch can help you with that - it'll do web searches for images related to missing games. Good luck.
  15. It's hard to recapture bygone days.... Just noticed - there's widescreen on that cab - that must have been quite new for its day. What it really could have done with is two other monitors either side as sideview mirrors... me and my extra displays.... Ooo! and on that topic - I used to love silent scope. That's gotta be a challenge to re-create on a homebrew cab... hmmmm
  16. 18 Wheeler was my "revisit arcades when older and find a gem." Gotta love a bit of HOD though
  17. Re-writing 6,000 lines of batch code to vb.net (why oh why didn't I curb my enthusiasm and learn .net BEFORE starting writing CPWizBiz!?). I'll see you in 2020....
