  1. Works fine for me. Are you using MAME32FX by any chance? I've noticed things like that when using that version. Switching to another build solved my problem. There's now more logging in the screensaver, so your log might shed some light..
  2. Yep, not a thing to do with GameEx, 5.26 or any other version. Its your modified text. [TEXT] favstart= Make this equal something EDIT: The ArcadeAmbience issue is fixed in the latest version. Go grab it. Again, if you could be a little careful when naming a specific version, it would help. Alternativly, point out what youve changed or tried for the first time. Cheers.
  3. Sparkles, please try the latest version and post the log.
  4. If its not saving the window position anymore, you can turn off show desktop.
  5. Try making the ini read only. I also believe theres a modified version out there that exits with the escape key.
  6. Well it should of been. Just a weird quirk that it wasn't. If it wasnt a problem then GameEx was obviously killing off Fusion to quickly and it was not exiting properly. That would have been a bug in itself. Its nothing for me to fix here, sorry.
  7. OK Found the problem. Escape switches the emulator between full screen and windowed. So when you escape the emulator with map keys it switches and then saves the mode for next time fusion its run. Im not sure how yourll fix it, but it has nothing to do with a GameEx bug.
  8. It seems Kega Fusion needs the showdesktop setting enabled for the emu to work correctly. I really have no clue why its working in the older versions and what it has to do with map keys. Just turn on show desktop for that emu. I would like to say that this seems to be a different issue to what Sparkles is reporting because he/she said that with the Map Keys on games exited immediatly. Your games dont exit immediatly, hideos is just covering up the emu. If sparkles can post the log with the latest version that will shed more light on the'different' issue. Turn on showdesktop for this emu. EDIT: It seems like it might be that the emulator is not starting in full screen mode. Try pressing ALT-ENTER.
  9. If that does not work try this EXE. If it still does not work try disabling your gamepad in the config see if that makes a difference. GameEx.zip
  10. I think its your weird text settings that are messing things up. Replace GameEx.exe with the attached and post the log. GameEx.zip

  12. Your message got through Emph, the first time you mentioned it, you should realise by now I am pretty sharp. Have some patience mate, I have a life
  13. Can you replace gameex.exe with the one attached. Try it with mapkeys on, and post the log if its still not working. If its working now let me know. Thanks. GameEx.zip
  14. So, is your problem resolved now, or not?
  15. Thanks, yes I will look at it, not sure what's going on though.
  16. Try these changes (seperatly) Change Show Start Page First to Enabled Change Font Size to one of the new valid values, -1 is no longer supported. Try -2 or -3 Also try using one of the predefined languages instead of custom. Let me know which one fixes it.
  17. If someone can get me an approriate background video to use, I may knock up a little holiday theme for fun. Of course if anyone else wants to make an xmas theme, you know the score, bring it on
  18. 13th December 2005 - GameEx 5.29 The Most played list now only displays games that have been played 4 or more times. This should make it much more usable and accurate, and avoids showing games that are just tested or randomly played. New Admin section in the config. This contains an option to delete ALL of the game data GameEx stores, including favourites, most played, statistics, and the mame game list. Very useful if your lists get bulked up, contain orphaned records, or get corrupted.

Dont worry about the OT. All I can think is it must be your colour pallette. The Bitmap should have a defined 16 colour pallette for the composition, and be saved with this pallete as a 16 Colour bitmap. Other than that no ideas, sounds strange. It could be its translating the colours to something else maybe? Tom
  20. Thanks for checking it out right away, and your very polite at pointing out bugs I've fixed it and am currently upping 5.28. Cheers, Tom
  21. Yep.
  22. 12th December 2005 - GameEx 5.27 Main enhancement is GameEx now has a much better setting and support for changing the font size. Created video snaphsots now create at correct size and aspect ratio. Snaps/Artworks now display much bigger at ArcadeVGA resolutions in themes such as BlueEx 640X288. Snaps/Artwork now always display directly under last menu item. Increased speed of Alpha Blend when showing slide show. It was too slow on many systems. Font spacing is now more accurate. 10th December 2005 - GameEx 5.26 Fixed picture viewing in pictures module. Last MAME game snap now shows at correct aspect ratio. Upgraded Microsoft .net Managed DirectX to newer version.
  23. We wouldnt flame you. We're not like that here. What you need to do is go into the config - Text/Language. Set the language to custom then change as required. To get nothing to show for a particular text item put " " (A space enclosed in quotes)
  24. Thanks for the feedback Time. Its comments like that, that make me keeping making it better.
  25. Yep, that would be it. GameEx looks for "*Mature*" to identify adult games.
