  2. Can you post your GameEx log please, and make sure you run GameEx and make this problem happen first. Thanks.
  3. 14th February, 2007 - GameEx 7.60 Vista Fixes and compaitbility updates Caching of menu font for quicker startup and return from apps
  4. I think you can ignore that error in the setup wizard. HK needs to fix that. Anyway, I just released a new version, that I think will fix the problem. Thanks.
  5. The Catver issue should be fixed in the latest release. In regard to the theme, yes that's what they mean.
  6. In addition, please tell me what versions of .net framework are installed on your system. Its at the top of the log. Particularly interested if you DONT have .net 1.1 installed and only 2.0 then maybe I need to fix something here. Thanks. Tom
  7. Can you tell me what video cards your using, but first turn on the VMR 9 setting. I know on my HTPC PC it wont run without it turned on. I'm Using NVIDIA codec and NVideo 7900 card with fairly recent drivers.
  8. Looks like youve changed the MAME audio mode in GameEx config. Take a look at audio settings and attract mode settings.
  9. Yeah, your spot on the diagnosis, but unfortunatly these kind of problems are hard to diagnose. I get this on one of my systems thats on 24/7 every 10 days or so it will blue screen for a split second and reboot. I think its more hardware or drivers related than anything, and other than replace each peace of kit 1 by 1 save the fatigue mate. You could look in the event log but I doubt yourll see anything
  10. Have you actually tried changing the volume within mame, or setting the volume on the cmd line.
  11. I dont think its a gameex setting causing it. It must be some kind of conflict. GameEx should not override MAME settings unless there specificed on the cmd lind. Can you try running runititgame.bat in the data directory. That is exactly what GameEx runs. Could you post your log, and let me know what mame version your using.
  12. That's very odd. All I can think is its your display drivers. What happens if you try to set the mame resolution on that command line? Or if you tell gameex not to change resolution. Can you please give a little more accurate information. If you paste that directly into a cmd line it wont work.
  13. Hi Jay, Not sure if your saying your settingit up for the first time or whether it was working in 7.09. Can you confirm? Thanks. Tom
  14. Glad you got it fugured out LP. Thanks for perservering. I have something good to go on now.
  15. Or turn the emulator off....
  16. Thanks. Can you experiment a little with different paths. See if you can get anything to work?
  17. Very odd. Can you try removing your picture paths, and see if it allows you to enter the menu.
  18. I think I see the problem. I just uploaded 7.58. I think it will fix it ,can you try? If not we'll work this out quickly.
  19. Im not sure this is entirely a gameex problem or related to this version. When did you last upgrade? The changes made that have a remote chance of affecting this where in version 7.53 released a week ago. If there is an error it should be controlled and you should see the GameEx log. So its a little odd.
  20. I can't duplicate this, can you give a bit more detail about when it happens and exactly what your doing? It shouldnt produce a hard error like that anyhow, have you tried a reboot?
  21. I have not tested it but yes it should
  22. If you have custom mame lists setup, as available in last version:-. GameEx will look in the theme\logos folder for an image matching a custom mame folder by name, and if it finds one will display it in GameEx. The same way it does with everything else.
  23. Have a good weekend
  24. Set the show desktop setting.
  25. 10th February, 2007 - GameEx 7.57 For all you theme creators out there, custom layouts are now implemented for emulators. Sorry it took me a while to do this. Have fun, lets see what you can do! Should fix any outstanding issues with updating the MAME list Snap images/ICONS are now supported for custom MAME lists Includes Ben's LCD Plugin 1.68.Beta. Read more about it on the forums. Minor updates to the setup wizard and theme editor. Thanks again to Ben Baker for his continued hard work and support
