  1. Last day! Part of EPIC Games launcher promotion and a whole bunch of Batman loving, but you gotta act fast! https://www.epicgames.com/store/en-US/collection/batman-free-week

  3. Pretty amazing difference! I recall when bump mapping first hit the scene for the masses with an announcement that it was coming to the Unreal Engine. Looks incredibly elementary compared to what's out there today, but at the same time it's been a long time coming to enter the realm of mainstream. Thanks for the demo Terry!
  4. I don't really know, as that's not something I've attempted.
  5. I seem to recall Tom posting that EVO was developed on a E8500 machine, so given that, you're systems specs are a bit on the low side. Beefing up the memory should help somewhat, especially so if you're running single channel memory. To my knowledge, there is no documentation for this product. There are a lot of settings in EVO but much of what you see is due to Software Lists support of MAME, something that in itself creates a good deal of confusion due to the limited documentation out there for how to use it. If you're mostly into arcade classics and not so much console support via software lists, then I would venture to guess you'll have a much more enjoyable experience with GameEx Arcade Edition on that particular machine.
  6. Darth Vader returns as his old self and battles Palpatine at the end to save Kylo from the dark side. It is force immortality. Also Luke wasn't mysteriously disintegrated by use of the force projection at the end of TLJ and is in almost the entire movie. Instead it was a trick designed to bring Palpatine back, who also happens to bring Snoke with him. You heard it here first! You can thank me later for saving you fifteen bucks and two hours you'd otherwise loose. 5 Reasons to Be Worried for Chewbacca in 'Star Wars: Rise of Skywalker' 'Star Wars 9' Leaks Reveal Palpatine's Evil Plan to Resurrect Himself Reylo fans will be happy about this one.

  9. Did this just start suddenly with an upgrade? Can you please post your mame.ini and log?
  10. FWIW, this stuff falls into the "meh" category for me usually, but I gave it a listen and must admit that as it goes on it really is pretty damn amazing that this came from a game on a 8 bit computer.

  13. Yeah, doubtful I'll ever see an episode, but it does look interesting.
  14. It's as spoiler free as any movie trailer can be. You Tube sites galore have already dissected it to pieces, and on the surface anyway, it looks like this movie might actually be decent.
  15. Ah, that familiar sound....
  16. Speaking from personal experience, there is virtually no slop in my restored yoke, but it came at a price for the parts. These ALAN-1 yokes seem to be about perfect in every way, well except maybe for the decal. $349 is a chunk of change though, especially when you throw in the USB adapter for use with MAME. Still it is considerably less than what it took to get mine back into working order, and the precision is said to be superior to anything available, which includes the infamous RAM reproduction. This group really seems to have it together with big plans moving forward, but as always is the case with high profile names, where these go is hard to say. If you want one I wouldn't wait around!
  17. Some news complements of JDF: ANd from KLOV ( https://forums.arcade-museum.com/showthread.php?t=415071&page=42&highlight=alan )
  18. Absolutely, I couldn't miss the very game responsible for sucking me into this hobby!
  19. I'll have to pick it up on audio book. It's a big plus that Wil Weaton is narrating!!!
  20. Here's a link to one of Tony's posts over on The Arcade Blogger that's a nice follow up on my earlier post re: Star Wars Fascinating Facts. https://arcadeblogger.com/2016/10/28/bradley-trainer-ataris-top-secret-military-project/ <edit> yes I know the link is in the Mental Floss article, but you know how easy it is to read over those!
