You need to grab a FTP client, FillZilla typically gets the nod here, and does from me as well. A quick search and you'll be installing it, probably from sourceforge. Beware of the crap it wants to install before the actual app though. Click on "Client Area" in the drop down of your username in the upper right hand of the screen. You'll see the FTP details for basic users there.

Hmmm that product is wired for UK or European outlets, I get them mixed up. I've never seen one of those either, but for the price it might be worth a shot, if you can get it a 120v 60hz model. At the recommendation of many here, I too went with the 360 wireless pad (2 thanks to Adultery) and have no regrets.

This is the area you want to configure. Have you double checked all of your paths? As for the config, I didn't know how you had tings setup, and some configure MAME as an emulator, so I had to assume it was least possible you had it configured as an emulator. As nullPointer mentioned, this bypasses a great deal of the GameEx featrures. Wouldn't seem this is an issue here though. I was just curioius about the CPU, as I did some quick digging to see if it was possibly intergrated graphics.

You need to also provide you config and GameEx.ini in order to give everyone a peak of what could be causing it. See here for more info on asking for help. Is that a mobile CPU?

If you followed Dazzle's direction above, it shouldn't be in the emulator setup page anymore. To echo some of the above posts, you want to take advantage of the mame function built into GameEx, as the emulater portion of the wizard is really more tailored towards more unique emulators, not someting as mainstream as MAME. Are you in the MAME settings as shown here? This is really where you want to be with MAME, and unless something really dictates otherwise, use vanilla MAME, and a source of it compiled to your preferences, in either 32 or 64 bit version, based on your operating system.

Lighty, are you a member of emu-movies? emu-movies, along with full set of mame extras will go a long way to giving you exactly what you are looking for. Additionally, much work is constantly continuing to bring more features as these to the table. A project started by Draco, then spearheaded by stigzler aims to bring developer information and logos to the mix, with a publisher project probably not far behind it. There is all kinds of cool stuff like this going on all the time. In addition to the GameEx Media Projects, I would suggest you poke around a bit in the User Projects area, and at the emu movies site. <edit> The suggestion being, most of what your describing is contributor driven, then incorporated into the front end. The content has gotta to be there first though, and as your post proves, there is plenty of data, videos and graphics collecting/creation and organizing that must occur beforehand. More hands are always welcomed on these projects, and if your so inclined, get involved with one that best suits what you are interested in.

Thanks for posting this link. I've done some reading over there, and while I realize there is always two sides to every story, sometimes things are just as they are presented. it does appear he was very misled, and quite possibly deceived according to this post. Knowing how this community works in general, it's not hard to imgaine how many donated time and effort to the cause, in additon to that of the designer. Sad to see someone yanked around like this, and I hope all the best for him. I'm sure this explains why it is on KS.
