  3. Please post your log after experiencing the problem for the first time, like after a reboot on the second GameEx launch (if that's the first time it occurs) Please also provide your GameEx ini
  4. Battle Pod is superior IMO, especially so if you're really in the POD version. I don't see them often though, which makes me wonder if they didn't have much staying power in the arcades.
  5. So anyway, I got my ass kicked by Vader each time and need more practice for sure. As your life bar comes to an end he walks toward you and force lifts you off the ground. It's very immersive and seems like you're really there, or it did to me anyway. I wasn't really sure how it would go without glasses, but it's very cool!
  6. I played this a couple times today while at Main Event, try it if you see one!

  8. I'm surprised the younger generation even knows what it is. Have you seen any of these "on the streets" type videos?
  9. https://kotaku.com/the-brilliant-snes-emulator-creator-known-as-near-has-d-1847182851 So much sadness that is so uncalled for thanks to bullies and assholes! https://twitter.com/near_koukai/status/1408940057235312640
  10. EVO is a different beast for sure and supports Software Lists, which for some is a big deal. The configuration isn't necessarily more complicated, but most definitely a bit more detailed in coverage due to the inclusion of more of the extras. For my purposes it is missing some key features to make it a complete frontend, ones that I hope to see added at some point Since your already at it: If you haven't and and are happy with original GameEx as an arcade frontend, then I'd recommend you check out GameEx Arcade Edition and give it a spin while you're at it.
  11. That's awesome, easily the coolest bartop style design I've ever seen! It looks like it would scale nicely to larger monitors as well. Thanks for post, nice job
  12. No Soup For You!
  13. Some of Mike's products have be blatantly ripped off. These guys denied it, but the proof is out there. https://www.retrotink.com/post/retrotink-2x-cloned I've got a bit earlier entry into the RetroTink2X ( around $100) than the one Felix posted, but I can vouch for the quality of the product.

    Pixoo

Looks like you can do a good bit of customization with these. I think the smaller one can be grouped (up to 4), but I haven't been able to confirm this in my limited researching so far.
  15. Happy Birthday wishes to a individual that works tirelessly on these forms in so many aspects. While it may not sound like such a big deal to many, there is undoubtedly a lot more to it than meets the eye. Many of these cool new forum graphics for example. That's not even to mention the amount of work put into helping others and contributing themes along various additional specialized artwork extras. Fair enough to say there's many of us regulars that already know this, but a lot of people drop in, get what they want and off they go to gaming bliss without ever really thinking about the effort that goes into it all. Happy Birthday dude!
  16. The RT2X checked all the boxes (just wish I had got a case for it while they were the current model) for me since all I currently have is a NES and VCR to use it with, but it's always nice to see what Mr. Chi is up to.
  17. Have to recover those cost somewhere I suppose.
  18. Wow, that looks fantastic!
  19. It was good while it lasted, but Cyberian's business model wasn't' sustainable during that time period as online shopping was still in its infancy, and it all quickly came to an end when Fry's bought them.
  20. Seems the the Videonics mixers have caught on for this, or at least the ebay prices seem to indicate so. I had to watch for a while to get a decent deal myself, so be patient if your interested and forget any MXPro that doesn't have the power supply, it's a paperweight without it. The MX-1 is all you need, but I went for the MX-Pro. https://www.videomaker.com/article/7529-digital-video-mixer-review-videonics-mxpro
  21. I went about this on a budget after seeing the cost of Super VHS with built in TBC. Videonics makes some video mixers that have TBC, now mind you it's not high end professional quality, but still effective. I'm outputting: VHS ----- Videonics ----- retrotink 2X ------ Capture device (via super video) It also scrubs much of the encoding that was popular back in the VHS days. The Retrotink 2x then doubles the lines and the smoothing feature seems to help, even though this isn't really what Mike designed it for.
  22. Agreed, but in many way things were better in the old days. My earliest games and PC shopping online experience was via Cyberian Outpost, and it was amazing to order a game one day and have it on the door step the next day after work, and this predated Amazon Prime and the like by what, 15 years? Still, while instant satisfaction has enabled us to do many things not possible before, it's also brought with it a certain sense of entitlement with it, and it's made the IT world a real pain in the ass!
